### "Good for mailings"

Really good support been with them 22 years

Pros

Easy to use, clear and very reactive and adaptable. Best feature is the mailings that can target specific groups or non returners. Every time i do a mailing i get lots of bookings online.

Cons

Their draconian GDPR. The unsubscribe button is often mistaken for the attached file so then the pt unsubscribes and moans at me as i havent sent them their receipt. Which is now impossible for them to receive. They need another prompt saying If you unsubscribe you wont ever get a receipt or appointment reminder. Do you really want that?

Overall poor. When it works it’s pretty mediocre and reporting is clunky and not user friendly

We have found this to be the most effective method of contact with our clients under these circumstances with a user base of just shy of 20 thousand practitioners. In order to offer the highest level of availability, our support team are available via live chat, email and telephone, the latter typically being via clients requesting a callback. This is a change to how we had worked prior to the pandemic and we have had such positive feedback and an upturn in customer satisfaction that we decided to adopt this approach long-term. Overall, PPS has been a very positive experience for us. It has provided us with a platform across the business to gain visibility of our operations, manage our data securely and facilitate day to day tasks. The flexibility of the product has enabled us to tailor everything to suit the business and provide the information that we need.The team at PPS have given great support when needed and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend PPS to another business.

Pros

PPS has enabled us to move from being a paper based organisation to a hosted online system, giving the business resilience and the infrastructure needed to expand.The system is flexible and customisable to meet most needs. Moreover, you are able to make amendments and changes to the formats yourself without having to pay for external support.You can also report on anything you can think of! If the data is in the system, you will be able to create a report to show what you want to know.

Cons

Whilst the diary management and clinical side is very comprehensive, PPS is not an accounting system, therefore there are a few weaknesses in the financials within the system to be aware of (eg. Any credits do not show up on your debtors reports)

I was able to learn how to use it fairly quickly, there was a good level of support

Cons

Sending emails has been problematic, we must cut and paste emails for records as we don't use the emails in PPS. Uploading data sets has always been a bit clunky but resolvable

There is a solution that will remove the need for you to copy and paste your emails that our support team can assist you with by simply swapping our default SMTP details with your own. Making this change would mean all outgoing emails from PPS can be seen in your email client's sent box, this might make it easier for you to use the built-in email facility and save you a few extra steps.

software is just OK, serves most of our purposes but feels very dated and lots of frustrations with it, support people are generally excellent

Pros

Online tech support is very good, but frustrating that phone support isnt as accessible as it used to be.

Cons

Bugs that never get fixed, system failings that don't get addressed, lots of aspects of the system that never get improved so its very time consuming to use.

Outstanding - mainly because Rushcliffe our provider has excellent backup support and always there if I need them.

Pros

Ease of use. Makes every day admin tasks simple and quick. All patient records held in one place, no need for any paper in the practice. Accounting made easy and simple to keep a track of outstanding accounts. Setting up of email templates is a breeze - I could go on.

Cons

The only con I have is that the online patient registration form is not easy for the patient to complete - far more complicated that it needs to be in particular the drop down dates for date of birth is hard to get.

PPS has exceeded expectations, is much more reliable than our previous system and is responsive to queries. Having a live status page is helpful on the (thankfully rare) occasions there is a system problem.

Pros

Since changing across to PPS 6 years ago we have found the Customer service to be excellent. There was a lot of support when moving across from our old system and there is always good ongoing support and help, especially useful with functionality!

Cons

Our emails are really important and it would be useful if we could highlight some text in bold or italics to add impact.

Reason for choosing Private Practice Software

Trial period showed PPS to be more user friendly and better met our needs.

Pros

PPS carries out the functions well without over complication.

Cons

Sometimes the software is slow but as we found out it was the computer anti virus software that was causing the problems.

I've been using Private Practice Software for well over 15yrs & plan to stay until retirement.

Pros

The diary for appointments is great, clients get email confirmation & text reminders of appointments. They have always said how good the reminders are, it's really cut down on missed appointments. There support service team are so very helpful whenever needed.

Cons

There is nothing not to like, has more than enough great features.

Express system is now very slow to the point where screens can take over 10 seconds to load. Doesn’t sound like much but gets frustrating during a busy clinic

The product is easy to use and works well for clients. I especially like the email reminder option.

Pros

As a sole practitioner is a great to be able to access your patient notes wherever using the app. I like the ability to create custom forms and there is a great way to integrate this into clinical practice and the business

Cons

Some of the new features in the program create obstacles to being able to make a clean consultation such as checking medical history, et cetera and I would like to be able to turn these off. I’m also disappointed that the price is increased quite a bit from when I first joined a few years ago

Too much time required to set it up to departments needs, not adaptable in viewing terms. We have not used it in the last two months.

Cons

Not adaptable. does not allow you to add comments into cancelled appointments. Once cancelled they disappear. We cannot change the set up to how we need to view the screening, we need 10 columns showing 2 rooms mon-fri but this is apparently not possible. You have to scroll vertically constantly to view both rooms. Causes headaches and eye strain.

On a daily basis, it helped me schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle billing and invoicing efficiently. I had stated it was old-fashioned but got the job done.

Pros

It has an advanced billing and invoicing system, which is one of its best features. The system creates invoices automatically, tracks payments, and simplifies billing procedures for easy financial management. It guarantees reliable and up-to-date financial records and eliminates the workload for administrators like myself!

Cons

Its older-fashioned than most software today, but it gets the job done

Was good when it was first launched. I would definitely go for something more reliable if chosing again.

Pros

The basic functions are easy to use once set up. The email support service is generally helpful but only if you can ignote problems for a day or two at a time. It was a great pity that they abolished their telephone support when they all started to work from home instead.

Cons

A nightmare to work with online. Constantly logs out and takes ages to go through ridiculously cumbersome login procedures a dozen or more times each day. Very complicated and non-intuitive accounting functions. Difficult to design forms. Poor integration between hosted and express versions.

Since they have solved the server issues they had a few years ago the system seems to be very smooth running and we dont have any system failures like we use to.Difficult to contact to discuss any problems as no central phone number they all work from home?

Easy to use the essentials like client records, consultation notes and the appointment diary

seems difficult / complicated way to scan and save to PPS share any paper work to upload to recordsExpensive to have other users added to the accountChanging any existing forms is hard to do as it then makes existing records difficult to access

I cant remember. If looking again now I would probably go for a cheaper company
