July 13, 2026 5.0 Overall, I find the Cvent Event Management experience pretty seamless and am currently trying to get all of my clients into Cvent for all aspects of their event to make their experience easier, and selfishly mine :) Pros I love how everything is all connected all the way from the speaker experience to the attendee registration so that way when you get to building the website and mobile app everything is done for you! So easy to use and once those items are built out in the backend you have more time to customize your websites and mobile apps for a great user experience. Cons The only con I would say is that with all of Cvent's awesome changes, there can sometimes be bugs that have us run into issues when publishing our sites when too many things are operating. Since our company handles all these aspects, it helps streamline attendee management—including reservations and direct communication with the air desk—and makes it easy to manage everything with our clients. Once you get past the initial training phase, it becomes an indispensable tool. It handles the chaos of event planning with structure and reliability that I have not found in other platforms. For anyone running large scale events, this is the engine you want running the show. Pros Cvent is a beast in the best way possible. I love the sheer depth of the platform. The registration features are incredibly customizable, allowing us to handle complicated attendee tracks without breaking a sweat. The OnArrival tool for check in is smooth and makes the first impression on attendees very professional. I also rely heavily on the reporting tools which give me granular data on everything from ticket sales to session attendance. It puts everything I need in one central hub so I do not have to juggle multiple spreadsheets. Cons Because it does so much, the learning curve is steep. It took me a while to really feel comfortable navigating the backend without second guessing myself. The interface in some areas feels a bit clunky and could use a modern refresh to match newer competitors. It is also a significant investment, so it might be overkill for smaller organizations just running simple meetups. Occasionally, I've had to turn to Cvent support, and I've found the agents very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. The best value is to purchase the premium support, for me the wait times are greatly reduced, and for new users getting answers quickly is what is needed. Pros Cvent registration is honestly my go-to product for curating personal registration experiences. With features such as logic based questioning, payment processing, and having the ability to assign different questions to your different attendee types, I've not found anything that the Cvent registration system cannot do. Cons The UI can be a little fiddly to find the settings you want to use, as the platform is so full featured it can be overwhelming. The help section and Cvent community is a great place for resources, but there are very little contextualized help for features within the settings themselves. Occasionally, we get an unknown bug or an issue which stops me from saving, but a refresh usually solves it. For times when I need Cvent Support, the ticketing system is fabulous and very quick to respond, although navigating Valerie is a chore to get to an actual agent. Personally, I don't think their AI agent is quite there yet, and it's rather annoying the 'raise a new case' feature has been removed to leverage Valerie only in the first instance. While I'd love to see some improvements to some appearance issues, I think it's getting better every day. With the addition of the Cvent AI, this is going to be a must-have tool for any of our events. Pros Attendee Hub is a great resource for our registrants. We used the old mobile app, and this is a huge improvement. AttendeeHub simplifies session selection, and it also gives us tools to inform our guests of important information. Cons It's mostly session selection UI. I would like AttendeeHub on the computer to look the same as the mobile app. I would also like to be able to customize the look of the page more, mostly being able to make grouping of sessions more obvious like in the session widget in registration.
