Pros

It is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of where things are. The new Flex product is much more user friendly.

Cons

There are features missing that would be so helpful like ground transportation management. A lot of times our clients complain that the emails from cvent go to spam.

Cons

editing the site contact can be tricky at times, extra spaces, line breaks, even if copying over a perfectly fine program you have to double check

Cvent makes my job easier every time they roll out new upgrades our products. I'm constantly looking forward to what's coming down the pipeline!

Pros

Cvent offers a robust array of features and products to help assist you in all areas of event planning. We use Cvent for small meetings to company holiday parties to our large conferences we host twice a year. If you're looking for a solution to your greatest pain point in planning, Cvent has it!

Cons

There are some limitations with the software. Cvent has done an excellent job at expanding their products but I would like to see more updates to the registration process.

Pros

Customer service has always been an issue - both with reps and when I have to call in with problems

I have used a couple different tools and Cvent is bar far the most robust. You get a lot of bang for your buck - in my opinion it's worth every penny.

Pros

Their customer service team is unreal - I have never had such prompt connection or assistance from ANY software...ever! While some of the functionality isn't intuitive, the Cvent team takes the time to drill down to where you are having trouble, walks you through the solution and then...checks back up to make sure it all worked out for you! THE BEST!

Cons

Roadmap progress is slow ... features take a while to launch...

Reason for choosing Cvent Event Management

More features, company has been in the market a lot longer and it's hard to beat their customer support

Pros

Our company has been hosting conferences for almost 6 years. We first used a homegrown registration system and manual entries in Excel, then used WuFoo forms, and finally graduated to RegOnline and it's full set of features. The real-time integration in Airtable is awesome. I also like that we can restrict which fields various team members see from our registration lists. The automated follow up emails alone are worth the cost.

Cons

Our events do have a lot of no-shows because of the nature of events, so it does hurt to have to pay a price-per-registrant model knowing that on average somewhere between 40-60% of registrants aren't going to come.

Pros

So many capabilities from marketing, event management, app, custom website, so many great capabilities

Cons

Can get pricey. Tend to be a lot of extra charges for each additional component which can be an issue when budgeting.

I really appreciate the customer support. I do feel that Cvent really wants their customers to stick around and even improve the products. It feels like I have support when I'm coordinating stressful conferences, so I really appreciate their whole approach to customers.

Pros

The range of options available within Reporting is fantastic -- from the way you can limit/filter the reports to how you can share the reports with stakeholders. We have also really liked OnArrival for checking guests into conferences. Checking guests in on our iPods and iPhones has made that process very quick. Certificates and data tags in emails have also been very helpful.

Cons

The sub question of a sub question was not possible when creating complex registration question paths. However, I think Project Flex is going to eliminate this problem.

Pros

The Cvent Tool is quite popular and great that offers variety of Features for managing an event. The registration process is easy to use even for the users as well. The tool offers the customisation of the event page with company branding.

Cons

Some features are not user friendly and you seek help to understand it better.

Pros

very robust - there is a tool in their software system for almost anything you need to do. The software looks at the entire event life-cycle . . from inception through completion

Cons

cost - expensive for companies that don't do very many events to afford the full enterprise suite. I work for a company that can afford the full suite, and when i recommend it for use to others who are start-ups or don't do many events, they cannot afford the full suite's features.

Overall, I would always choose Cvent, as it is the best program for event sourcing that I know of on the market!

Pros

Cvent is easy to navigate! I have used Cvent at all of the hotel brands that I have worked for, in the many years that I have been in Hospitality sales. This is the most user friendly, easy to understand program on the market!

Cons

I would have to say that the only thing that I would improve would be the client decision information for all RFPs. The decisions are not always communicated to the venues that bid on the piece of business.

Pros

I like that I am able to manage events in one place and save time by automating many manual event management tasks. Reporting is great as well to see how engaging our events are and where we can improve! The customer service is great as well. As a new event professional, it is relatively easy to use and helps me perform.

Cons

It would be nice if we could apply templates to multiple places at once. For example, if we are sending a daily reminder email for an event and we want to duplicate it to serve multiple groups, we have to do it for each group. If we could select multiple that would be a great time saving feature.

Having the agenda at your finger tips, being able to network with other audience members and the ability to have a constant social conversation are all the benefits we get from the mobile app.

Pros

I love the customer service I get with CVENT. No matter the time of day the customer service team is able to help me solve my problems and I know that they genuinely care about my concerns or worries. My audience has provided great feedback about CVENT's easy to use mobile app. I appreciate the simple steps it takes to create the mobile app on the back end to make it look appealing to the user on the front end.

Cons

The only con for this software is that you don't get a uniquely branded url for your audience to use. The cvent name is still within the url.

I like Cvent and I think once they release the new responsive decision and advanced reporting it will be even more phenomenal of a company!

Pros

I like that the software is easy to navigate and has a great customer support community in situations where I can't find what I am looking for. I do not often have to reach out to speak to anyone because the information is so readily available for any one to review on their own.

Cons

I wish there was more flexibility for airport arrival and departure fields and the ability to turn of the yes/no toggle buttons at the top of the travel pages while in step mode. While there are easy enough work arounds for either issue, I find it is a constant complaint from most clients that we can not change this. However I understand these issues will be addressed with the updates that are coming down the pipeline!

Pros

Cvent is quick to respond to all of our requests and implementation questions. Their communication and customer service is top notch for this platform that keeps getting stronger and responding to the ever-changing needs of the industry.

Cons

The registration process is a little bulky for many of the small meetings we host. Having a simple email collection form to register for a free mini conference would be great instead of the multi-page format they currently have.
