Pros I love that we are able to customize so much within Cvent. Flex has been a great upgrade as well. The ease and functionality of this tool helps keep my work load time efficient. The more that I use the platform and learn all the things that i can do, the easier it is manage the registration of my events. It is a great platform to use. Pros The ease of use. I like that we can create templates and use that to easy set up a new event. I also like the survey module. So many integrations that can/have been added. Cons There are so many capabilities that it takes quite a while to get comfortable in the software and discover what works best for you. Cons Cvent is always improving their software to ensure they stay up to date with the latest technology. While this is great, we have requested that new updates are not incorporated directly before an event to allow us time to become familiar with the new changes and how to utilize them. Customizable if you want, but also has most things there for you to use. Cons The contract is for a year, but they only really let you use it for one event. If you want to use it year round, you have to delete information and they aren't really set up for that. It's expensive for just one event, but if you use it for the year it's worth it. There are a few shortfalls, but that is more down to our own high expectations than a material fault with the platform. CVent suport are excellent. Always available, and able to explain things in a clear concise manner. They have some great online self-service tools too. It does a lot of things and gives you power to customize (almost) anything. Reporting is accurate and a breeze to set up. Invoicing works very well. More flexibility than Eventbrite. Cons The problem is the interface: it's a little dated in appearance, and it can be difficult to format things in the way which you want them to appear. Most of my difficulty came in making custom logic questions in the agenda section of registration. It was hard to know how an edit would look on the public site, and it was easy to think you saved something when you really didn't. I've had many frustrating afternoons trying to figure it out. Moreover, their customer support team is alway kind and incredibly knowledgable. Cons The tool can be tough to learn. Unless you are working in Cvent on a regular basis, it can be difficult to navigate. This makes it tricky for some basic users to adopt. Cons Some of the formatting when designing the registration pages and emails are a little difficult. I have had to learn HTML coding and sometimes even that doesn't fix the problems. Cons I wish there was more customization for the use of Cvent within healthcare industry focused meetings and events. We accomplished this with registration and the app. It helped cut down on back and forth communication and allowed us look professional for our attendees. Pros I liked that the registration site was pretty intuitive to build and it integrated seamlessly with the CrowdCompass app. The customer support is amazing too! Cons Some of the functionality wasn't fully implemented when we bought it, so it was unfortunate to have to work around that. Also, some of the email functions don't work on different browsers. Pros Cvent is great for responding to clients sourcing bids from multiple locations, it makes the process seamless. The program allows you to create answers that you're able to auto-fill which makes the process simple when filling out new RFPs. Cons I've encountered a few glitches in using Cvent - losing auto-fill answers, broken links when e-mailed an RFP, and not receiving notice when a client chooses a venue. The program has become more user-friendly, but still have a learning curve when beginning to use it. " June 20, 2018 5.0 It's a great product for Events - the best out there! Pros I'm on the IT side and not an event planner - but I support our events team, and I really like the Cvent product. It is a great product and easy to use and if we need help, the support is the best - everyone is helpful and they will get your problem solved. I like how we can have events and a mobile app all integrated easily - we even integrate with Salesforce. And... we even integrate with our internal systems - Cvent has a great API with lots of functions and they are constantly improving the API - as well as their product as a whole. Cons Support is great... but over the past 2-3 years it moved from an 10/10 to an 8/10 ... but they are still helpful. I like the old reporting a bit better than the new. Review Source Rohit B. I also love the endless capabilities you have and are able to achieve with ease. The reporting system is amazing, love the new reports also. Cons Some areas of the software can be a little difficult to manipulate, sometimes edits to the website or emails take some time to come through or can cause some challenges.
