I benefited from this software because I was able to learn my job faster and keep on track with my daily responsibilities.

Pros

Applicant Stack is an user friendly software that really helps me keep track of my current and past applicants. I like how the software allows me to add notes in the history section so I am always on top of what is happening with my applicants

Cons

I dislike how applicant stack will roll out a new update without emailing the users with information about it. This lead to me having confusion and I was stuck figuring it out myself. I also dislike how in the onboarding section, when I add documents it will freeze the page.

we used to use Applicant Pro and it was so much more user friendly. We switched because Applicant Stack would incorporate with ADP, but we have NEVER been able to get it to bring over the information we need.

Pros

I like how it can send the applicant the on-boarding paperwork and everything is completed on line. I like the texting feature

Cons

It only posts our job postings to 5 sites. this is not enough It takes forever to download the on-boarding paperwork (usually around 20 minutes)

### "Great product at a reasonable price"

Pros

We use Applicant Stack in our Consulting practice and recommend it to our clients. For a small to mid size business it is the perfect applicant tracking system at a very reasonable price. Implementation is easy and customer service is great.

Cons

The only con I can speak of is that when using the tasks to take notes while interviewing the form does not save as you go along so if there is some sort of disruption or if the interview takes longer than an hour or so you can lose your notes. We solve this by taking notes in word and then copying to the form, an additional step, but not overly cumbersome.

### "Applicant Stack Review"

The overall experience is a positive one. I really appreciate that appstack is offering texting now (I think we will be adding this feature soon). The reporting tab gives me a really good look at the big picture of where we are at currently with our hiring.

Pros

I like the pipeline on the dashboard so we are able to see how many candidates we have in any given stage in the process. I also like that we are able to customize the documents (using the library and email templates) we are sending out to our applicants. I like being able to control not only what information is sent, but how and when it is sent.

Cons

I would like to be able to customize any automatic correspondence (when stage changes are made) before I hit confirm. I can see that the email will be sent to my candidate, but i'm not able to open the email from this screen to make changes ( like adding a name or date) to customize the email. It would make the process run more smoothly.

I get so many benefits. I am able to now hire a lot more staff because of the reach that provides me.

Pros

I love the ability to message and connect with applicants through the site. Also, it helps so much to have the ability to score the applicants ahead of time. It helps me manage my time so I can contact the most qualified applicants.

Cons

There are a couple things that could be improved on. First is the ability to customize the posting page that connects to my company website. The other thing that I would say is my least favorite part is the lack of a continuous hiring options. I would like to be able to have a job repost to the job boards automatically.

Overall, it's been a great experience using the software.

Pros

The software provides an easy way to post job requisitions on multiple job boards for free with the click of a button. The applicant tracking provides an easy, organized way to process an applicant through the interview and hiring process.

Cons

If there is any complaint, it would be that the reports are not always intuitive.

Reason for choosing ApplicantStack

The fact that there was no long-term contract and the monthly rate was very reasonable. Also, technical support was excellent in helping to set everything up.

### "Easy to use email but needs more search options"

It is a source of candidates to email to on a regular basis new opportunities for them. It is generating 5+ valid candidates for me week as an individual recruiter.

Pros

Able to create basic HTML emails and send to a selected group.

Cons

The employment record does not sort by date and show gaps like TenStreet does for the trucking industry. I would like to search using multiple zip codes at one time and limit the selection by excluding criteria found in other fields such as Stage, License Class, Status Description, and Approval Status. I would like more HTML formatting options such as font size when creating emails.

it's a bare bones system for managing potential job applicants. it does the job, but it's limited interface makes staying organized difficult

can easily lookup candidate names if I know their name already

Cons

\* after setting a note for a applicant, it doesn't show up on the default display (you need to go through the hassle of opening up the notes section) \* there is no built-in pdf or word doc viewer. It would be SO much better if I could view the resume inline without being required to download it to my computer \* the applicant meta data options in source, rating, disposition, is very specific and provides many options, yet half the time it doesn't have what I need. For example, a good option would be "salary requirements too high" \* would be great to be able to filter applicants based on salary range

Many, perhaps all, can easily be resolved. Most of the items can be customized. You can easily view resumes from the resume tab and they do not require a download. You can add a Notes field so you can easily see it on the candidate review table. All of the meta data options are completely customizable. You can also filter on any field such as salary.

### "Great Option for Small to Mid-Size Business"

was our first foray into using an ATS to manage our jobs and candidates. It has been a great solution for us and it's affordability is unmatched.

Pros

I like the affordability and the ease of use as it relates to the tracking job requisitions and candidates.

Cons

It lacks some of the reporting capabilities that more sophisticated ATSs have, however, if you are a small to mid-size company who is simply looking for an affordable option to track open requisitions, manage applicants and post jobs, is a great option!

Pros

is very easy to use and has a very simple user interface. You can get jobs posted in minutes and tracking applicants through the process is a breeze. Customizing the stages and fields is also really quick and easy.

Cons

If you're looking for something with all of the bells and whistles, this isn't the right product. is best used for small to mid-size companies that post 10 or so jobs a year and don't need a really pricey ATS

We have used for about 5 years and it has been very effective in managing thousands of applications.

Pros

Easy to classify and manage a large database of applications. It is also nice that it deploys a job posting to major job boards.

Cons

It is inconvenient that you can't search key words in the application form. Only the resume is searchable.

Automation of processes, time saving, transparency to managers.

Pros

Automating the entire recruitment cycle. Giving managers direct access to their candidates, and giving managers the ability to track candidates during the entire process, from job posting to hire. Notes about each candidate can be added and tracked over time. Ability to search for specific words in a candidate application is valuable.

Cons

It was a little but of a challenge to create the application form initially to our specifications. However, it was well worth this little bit of work at the beginning!

My firm has been hiring heavily over the past year or so, despite the tougher economic conditions. We've been fortunate to receive a slew of very well qualified candidates, but this has actually been making it more difficult to manage our pipeline. Fortunately, we decided upon to streamline the process both for the wider firm and our HR department. I can say I've been quite happy with what we've experienced so far.

Pros

It's quite simply made the job postings process much easier for both our firm's HR department and our project teams. I've been able to publish multiple job listings to multiple boards straight to the system without involving HR, and I can view applicants profiles live as they come in. This is invaluable as a directly hiring manager!

Cons

Sometimes the customizability is almost a little too much, but this is actually a really good thing. I just haven't yet gone through all my options as far as customizability goes.

I train CEOs and their teams how to hire talent. Many small businesses don't have an ATS yet, and is a good and simple one for those not acquainted with the online ATS environment.

Pros

Simplicity. Functionality. Seat license plan is sensible. We use it for a distributed workforce and all can participate remotely. Like the new video interviewing invitation feature added recently.

Cons

Software works great. Email technical support is 24 hours or less. However, don't try calling them as it is not very responsive. However their online support Q&A answers most questions.

My Experience with has been great.

Pros

I have been using this software for over 2 years. I have been in the Staffing Industry for 35 years and this is one of the best software I have used. It is easy to navigate It has the recruiting and On boarding piece that integrates with each other and you can add your own forms or used their customized forms. It even has a module for you to do your payroll. The support has been excellent and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this product especially for Staffing Agencies.

Cons

There is really nothing I would change. The changes that I did have as been made.

Our hiring and interviewing process is a collaborative approach and ALL of the documents and steps are defined within . We have used other tools, but nothing as comprehensive as this one. We really do start and finish the recruiting process entirely within ApplicantStack.

Pros

The ability to score candidates and present them with custom assessments that will auto-score/rate the candidates and even include auto-knockout questions. The ability to filter candidates at a very quick glance based on the assessment scores and other factors like stages of the interview process. Requesting and submitting feedback for candidates after interviews and the ability to review all of them on one page. Posting to all job boards from one location. The library of templates for emails, assessments, and job posts makes it easy to re-use content from previous postings.

Cons

Scheduling events is a little clunky since you have to wait for the email to then add it to your gcal or outlook. Emailing candidates directly through is not very smooth either. It does not offer the same type of reply functions you would expect from your normal email client and often times the receivers see it go to their SPAM filter.

I think the layout and the easy of searching through open position.

Cons

The search area is not as fast as it used to be. It takes a long time to search for an applicant name. It would also be helpful if you were able to search part of a name and it would show you options. I believe that used to be an option but that is not working for us anymore.

### "I have had links break, causing posting/unposting problems"

It is good for a small company without much activity, however, I am responsible for 5 lines of business and multiple locations, my company should have an enterprise system, rather than one for smaller company use.

Pros

Easy to use, but doesn't have the enterprise capabilities a company really needs. Sort capabilities are nice, I do like the fact you can attach certain predetermined questions for the applicant to fill out, however, when you want to " "knock them out" for not meeting criteria (certification, citizenship, relocation, etc), the system should automatically class them as "ko'd" and screen them out, which it does not.

Cons

I have had misspellings that go out and don't correct across the various job boards. Links that post or unpost cannot activate properly, only way to know is if a candidate sees it and contacts us.

### "Best Recruiting Tool Out There!"

Love this software!!! I recruit for my office as part of my role and daily duties and this software allows me to better mange my time with screening and posting for jobs.

Pros

Ease of creating job descriptions, posting to boards and assigning open jobs. Allows you to easily review candidates by job opening and allows you to set questioning for easy qualification of candidates. You can set up email template to send out to candidates to save time. So many amazing tools!

Cons

There is a KO tool that allows you to set certain criteria as must have or the applicant is "knocked out" . The distance or towns listed aren't exact so some people may be categorized as knocked out when they are within your specified area. These "KO" applicants still end up the main pool of applicants so that you can change it with a click.

ITs a great way to keep up with the hiring process for any company. Its all good for keeping things in order for auditing purposes.

Pros

I like the ease of use, especially with updating disposition and moving candidates from one job to another if need be; instead of the candidates having to complete an entire application again.

Cons

Sometimes the outside job boards: links are not as useful. Also, I don't like the fact that candidates can duplicate job entries. One entry is enough per city or branch.

Pros

Without really getting into the "meat" of the program, it does what it's intended to do. It collects and displays all applicants from various recruitment sites, and displays them so we're able to see individuals looking for a job.

Cons

I haven't really dived into the program to really see what it can and can't do. As the title of this review states, I'm indifferent. It shows me what we as a company has deemed important information to make the most accurate assessment of an individual.
