During Covid, we converted our in-person conference to a virtual event and used Elevate and the Cadmium team to run the very successful event. Now we don't hesitate to conduct online events with Cadmium. Pros The staff at Cadmium are very easy to work with, from my account rep to our contacts for having streaming events, to the technical support -- all provide fast and detailed assistance. Cons The design options weren't great but they recently added some new functionalities which I look forward to testing... Everyone I've interacted with is extremely knowledgeable and focused on helping their customers succeed. Pros Best customer service I have ever experienced, from implementation to day-to-day queries. Lightening-fast response times to technical questions. Intuitive UX makes it very easy to use as an admin to create new courses and manage products. Powerful content management system tools makes it easy to create new pages on the site with many widgets available. Ability to customize site design. Helpful explainers and documentation available. Integration with AMS. Cons Slow to adopt LTI compliance. Course interface from user perspective a bit clunky; components not seamlessly presented/integrated. Pros 1\. It integrates well with our AMS (ACGI Software). I was able to keep payment and checkout in our AMS and still use the full site on elevate to show off and run the online products. 2. The product is flexible and can do a lot. So far, we haven't hit any bumps in trying to execute an idea. 3. The Commpartners staff just seem better than average at working with customers. Cons I don't love all the language. For example "Components" is used a lot, but honestly, it's really good so far. The software is great, doing much more than we need. It's great to know that as we expand what we offer to our members, the ability to do so through this software is already there. Pros This software is easy to use from the admin side and easy to use as a webinar attendee/user side. Cons I wish the company was on the West Coast--which is ABSOLUTELY not a criticism. It is simpler than many systems, which is great for our membership, who skew heavily into the "what on earth is a webcast?" demographic. Good control over most aspects, nice formats and clean lines. Appreciate the customer support team as well, almost always are very prompt and helpful. Pros Overall, a great product. Easy to setup/edit the site/pages, organize your webcasts into groups and pages, create discount codes and manage user profiles. Email templates are offered, but very simple to customize as well. Wizard-like system to create your products is easy to follow, and the reports are sufficient for our needs. Features like "Just for You" and "Featured" widgets are helpful in customizing each user's experience when they are logged in. Cons Somewhat challenging to navigate the credits/testing modules, especially when trying to see if they have completed certain segments. We've had some issues with the system not allowing a user to move on despite having completed enough of the current section, and recently had some missing test scores (auto-send of test results to our staff only seems to work some of the time, requiring a manual check every few days). A few other irritating quirks, like I don't like how it always defaults to sort products by newest to oldest (we'd prefer A to Z as the default, or ability to change the default). Also wish we could figure out a way to package a book (to be shipped by us) with a webcast (for immediate access), but haven't found a way to do so efficiently yet. They are highly committed to extending the dialogue and pushing the field, which makes them a true partner and not simply a vendor. Pros The support and forward thinking of the company translates into the Elevate platform. As changes come to the industry and design requests are submitted by association partners, the system adapts and rolls out these features to all. They are committed to this dialogue with their customers and that strengthens the product for all involved. Their integration with their own webinar system and with Higher Logic make this a powerful tool for delivering learning. Cons The software works for the basic needs of delivering online learning. There are integrations that are still to come and there are always small quirks to work through and work out of the system, but nothing critical to its efficient use.
