The intuitive, easy-to-use user interface combined with the rich features & breath-taking results brought convenience & satisfaction towards developing my personal & work-related videos. Also, the inclusion of a single lifetime-purchase option made picking up the software a no-brainer to me. Pros The software does an excellent job in removing blemishes, blurs & other visual defects in videos captured even at VGA quality (footage captured from my old Nokia N70) with the subsequent resolution upscaling to deliver high-resolution, flawless results. This in turn refined many of my old recordings from high-school & college days with the ensuing nostalgia of reliving the good old times. Moreover, HitPaw's true potential is utilized in my line of work where the video recordings I occasionally receive from construction site supervisors & engineers appear pixelated which obscures the subject in focus. Consequently, the AI-upscaling comes into play by increasing the footage resolution (while conserving framerate) in order to identify the issues or areas of interest mentioned in these recordings. Cons I have absolutely no complaints about the software. It works remarkably well. Most of the videos are old korean variety shows that I would watch when there is just nothing to do and time to burn. Although I got this product after seeing some ad about AI enhancing video, I believe that it was a good purchase. I was able to raise the video resolution of my old variety shows that is 14 years old, and the quality of the videos was not bad. Considering I didn't know any video editing skills, the fact that I was able to do this was a very big plus for me. Pros There are variety of options to edit my videos. The most used options are video enhancer and sometimes the video repair. I have been able to fix some unplayable videos that I thought it was useless. My favorite is that someone that doesn't know a thing about video editing can now enhance my video resolution for better graphics. Cons Although I love the product after purchase, I spent some time to decide to buy the product. Even if they give you a preview of the changes to the video, it doesn't give me enough validation to make the purchase. In addition, you would need to run the enhancement several time (it takes a while to enhance as well) at first to get the quality that you want since there are a lot of options to choose from. One thing I would like to be able to do is using multiple options to enhance the video. Lastly, the process eats up quite a bit of CPU. After a week of back and forth with their so called "30 day money back guarantee", they refused to give me a refund. However, they conceded and they extended my subscription from one month to three months, thus forcing me to use my crappy GP to render 3 videos. The results can be seen on YT by searching "Tears Are Not Enough" - Northern Lights - 40th Anniversary - 4K. So I am happy it got done. I am not happy, how long it took and the method it got to this point. Pros This software works reasonably well. It does cost a bit but it is still cheaper than Topaz. So the compromise is there. Cons It is slow as heck on machines that don't have graphics processors. I was doing a Youtube video 15 minutes long. I have a GP benchmarked at 600, and it would take 22 days of processing to render it. That's a whole month subscription gone there! Noted, if you were using a new NVIDIA GP benched at 4200, it would have still taken 3 days to render a VHS quality video to 4K. HOLY! Review Source DI Dino I.
