### "Revit is a very powerful industry tool"

January 6, 2026

4.0

It is a powerful industry standard that is accepted as a True BIM Tool and not just a drafting program. It has allowed me to enable coordination, automate documentation and integrate data the way other tools cannot.

Pros

I enjoy it's function ability of how every aspect works as one model. Plans, Sections and Schedules all work together and change together as modifications are made. Visualization and documentation also work in the same way.

Cons

Very steep learning curve along with it's Performance and Stability issues can make it difficult to operate by someone that is not sufficiently trained and has experience.

### "Revit: potente, rigoroso, impegnativo"

February 10, 2026

4.0

### "Small firm transitioning to Revit"

April 9, 2025

5.0

It has been a very positive experience, having a 3d model to reference and locate issues in real time has been paramount

Pros

coordination between trades/consultants, being able to see issues before they arrive in the field

Cons

Automatic wall joins, sometimes Revit does thing that are not options in the real world and they make it hard to override.

### "Revit best software for AEC industry"

January 9, 2025

5.0

I have been using Revit for over 15 years and have watched how it has grown and mor

Pros

Revit is an all encompassing BIM modeling program. It is great for generating models for a project that also translates to rendering/animation/VR, plans, details, elevations, sections, schedules and sheets. There is so much you can do with Revit and so many add-ons that make this program the premier program for the AEC industry.

Cons

I do not like that you can not go back version of Revit, meaning if a project is started in 2024 year version, you can not open that model in 2023 year version.

### "everyone should use this"

December 4, 2025

5.0

Overall a fantastic product that barely needs notes. I do think there should be AI implementation for communication with your project, not design. A chat bot designed to asked things about your project.

Pros

I've personally been using revit for years and its unmatched. Currently there is not another complete program that competes with this. Industry standard. Love working on something one thing and it being reflected and reused 4-5 times in BIM and other type of informations. Truly complete product.

Cons

There was a problem my team encountered with the few customizations regarding visibility and visually impaired team members. Some members couldnt see blue very well and there are some things that you cant change in the program.

### "Powerful Tool for Design and Collaboration"

August 23, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Revit has been excellent. It’s a complete tool for design and project collaboration, and it really helps me work more efficiently. It’s definitely worth the investment for anyone working in architecture, engineering, or construction.

Pros

I really like how Revit makes project design and collaboration so much easier. The 3D modeling tools are powerful, and it’s great that changes update everywhere automatically. It saves a lot of time and reduces mistakes.

Cons

The only downside is that it can feel heavy on the computer and takes time to fully learn, but once you get used to it, it’s worth it.

### "Revit has no Competition"

November 19, 2024

5.0

Very Happy with this Software. No other Softwares come close to Revit with the amount of functionality that it provides.

Pros

Revit is the best software when it comes to producing a full set of construction drawings. Revit works with 3D components so once you create a Model, you can acquire the plans, elevations and sections from that Model. It is a very convenient and user friendly software. Additionally there are plenty of useful plugins such as Enscape where you can produce high quality renderings.

Cons

Files can appear very large, typically at least 200mb. Fortunately there is a function where you may purge unwanted or unused items in the model.

### "Great software, poor design choices"

February 5, 2025

A potent base software that must be customized to be optimal because the bare version ain't cutting it

Pros

It's an easy to learn platform with amazing capabilities for coworking on modeling a building (coordination is much better than autocad)

Cons

Lots of basic functionnalities that should be a given are really lacking (a real dark mode for instance or the ability to link drafting views)

For specific projects the software has worked and BIM is a great tool. If the project is not complexed with a lot of other disciplines it may not be worth using.

Pros

The software is able to detect areas of conflict when developing the model. This will aid in eliminating expense change orders during construction.

Cons

Differently the upfront costs to implement the software into the design process. New powerful computers are a must along with competent staff.

### "Revit is still #1 for creating coordinated construction documents"

October 21, 2024

5.0

I use Revit daily, I'm a big fan for sure.

Pros

Revit is the industry standard. For its original purpose, creating a Coordinated Drawing Set, I have not seen a better platform.

Cons

It's not an intuitive program. If you haven't learned the 'language' or Revit you can easily feel lost/frustrated.

### "Revit is worth the time to learn to use"

September 19, 2024

4.0

I am a decades long AutoCad user, switched to Revit in the last few years. The switch over was fairly simple. Working with models already created to manipulate them is quite intuitive, creating stairs, roofs and schedules is challenging.

Pros

The ease at which a building design can be changed, multiple ideas and concepts can be explored.

Cons

There are some simple tasks in AutoCad that are made much more difficult in Revit. The ability to create tables by just adding the data yourself is very difficult. Schedules in general are tricky to set up
