Pros There are a lot of commands, but it is not easy to learn all of them. It is very powerful CAD software but requires time, experience, and maybe some training to become proficient. Simple task can be done quickly if the user has a basic knowledge of CAD. Cons It is tough to learn some commands or to know what input prompts are asking for. Pros Doesn't have limitations like other software for 3D modeling. Allows you to really create whatever your mind can think of. Cons Definitely a learning curve in first using the software. I learned how to use it in school and it took awhile to really understand the software. I know there is always more to learn but luckily once you know the basics it gets better. I enjoyed their interface, and the features they offer make it a compelling piece of software to model design before you build. Pros I like how I could jump right in and start creating objects without much training. the interface was intuitive, and i figured out how to add new shapes, and control the view very easily. Cons I didn't love the options that are provided to change the size of the objects. they didnt allow me to provide units which i thought would be useful (or at least I didn't see that option obviously). I can say that it's a really good experience with it. Pros The best part of AutoCAD is easy to learn. After you start to learn program, you can speed up your progress very easily. Cons I personally love AutoCAD, as an engineer, this is the ideal software to use. The one downside to any software would be the learning curve. Whether it is an architect, engineer, a detailer, etc. Pros AutoCAD is used to produce structural, support of excavation, sketches and several other drawings, as needed. AutoCAD is great for drafting. Clearly you first draft before you engineer a building, so being able to draft out everything accordingly AND simply, is fantastic. It's super simple and anyone can learn how to use it. The license is worth 100%. Almost every trade school, technical college, etc. teaches AutoCAD, this makes finding operators a lot easier than most other software. Cons AutoCAD should give more options for colors. I know they give a lot of colors to draft lines and what not, but they need more options so things can be more detailed.AutoCAD should have the option of modifying the title block in the layout space in each drawing. I started to learn AutoCad but then I found another technical design program on the internet that was simpler. Pros When I was 23 years old I had to make some technical designs. I learned technical design with pencil on paper and this took me 1 year to learn. Using AUTOCAD you can make an invention come true in 1 day. This is the power and the simplicity of AUTOCAD. Work done by 2 men in 60 days can be done with a good PC in 1 day. If you want to make a fancy clock, if you want to design an airplane you can do this with AUTOCAD. Cons AUTOCAD is very difficult to install on a PC. You have to download the files and wait for 6 hours to install the autocad on an average PC. Then to learn Autocad is not easy. But after you install Autocad and learn to use Autocad, you have a powerful tool that helps you to make an invention come true in 1 day. Review Source MS Magdalena S. Cons No 3d viewing or at least not as easily as other programs. Some tools were hard to understand or use.
