Again, I cannot stress just how much I am genuinely fond of this product. It makes my work life much easier, and also is a very powerful productivity tool for tracking the status of deliverables. There's something very satisfying about having a fully customizable and organized agenda. Pros I cannot stress enough how much I enjoy Closing Folders, and how much I believe that this is a great product. Closing Folders has made my work life \*infinitely\* better. I am somebody who loves organization, and Closing folders gives me the flexibility to manage a closing agenda exactly how I like it. The ability to make categories, action items, etc., and to customize the tags for the action items is brilliant. The (new?) feature allowing for dates to be added to items is also very helpful. I can confidently say that I use most features available in Closing Folders, and I appreciate how responsive the team is, and how committed the developers are to their product. I think the absolute best parts of Closing Folders are the variables and the signatures. Those reduce the amount of time I need to spend immensely, and wildly reduce the chances of errors. Closing Folders variables have become a critical part of my practice. I was genuinely thrilled when Closing Folders added iManage integration, I think that may have been the best addition they've added so far. I also \*love\* schedules, and the ability to link other items as schedules. The share feature to export lots of files at once is perfect, as is the snapshot feature. I would, of course, be remiss not to mention my appreciation of the closing books system as well. Cons There is very very little that I do not like about Closing Folders. Admittedly, I use Closing Folders much more frequently as a personal closing agenda and tracker, so I do not have much experience with multiple teams accessing the same deal. However, from what I have experienced, that does seem to work well, even if it is not my preferred use method! It would be very, very nice if Closing Folders could automatically turn Excel spreadsheets into PDF files. Currently, I have to go to excel and print to PDF, choosing a paper size or zoom that fits the information within a single page, then upload that to Closing Folders. If anything changes in the excel file, I have to repeat this process; this is a bit of a hassle. I don't know how difficult it would be to add something like this, but that would be a huge update in my books. It’s simple, user interface and integration with I manage has allowed me to adopt its regular use very quickly. Pros Closing Folders is a great product to replace your word document checklists. I love that all my transaction documents are linked to my checklist and that I can manage signatures and counterparts all in one place. The user interface is very intuitive and I found it easy to get used to. Cons I don’t like that the document name is locked into a the first column. It takes what is often a stressful and administratively heavy process and makes it much smoother. By automating the tedious parts of closing, it allows lawyers to focus on the deal itself rather than chasing signatures or organizing binders. It has definitely simplified one of the most challenging aspects of transactional work. Pros I like that Closing Folders is very easy to use, with a clean and intuitive interface that makes it simple to track documents, organize signature pages, and manage closing checklists. It streamlines what can otherwise be a very manual, time-consuming process and makes it much easier to coordinate among multiple parties. I especially like that it reduces back-and-forth emails and automatically generates a polished closing book at the end of the transaction. Cons At times the platform can be a bit slow, particularly when editing or updating checklist items. There is also limited customization, like no italicized or bold text, or colors. It would be a great option for the interface to be customized or tailored to match a firm's internal style or marketing/brand guidelines. What makes Closing Folders exceptional is its customer service. They are responsive at all hours, even on weekends. Would highly recommend. Cons There's definitely more functions that could be integrated. I started using Closing Folders in 2021 and there haven't been major changes. Perhaps its indicative of good product-market fit, but I think there is always room for improvements. The new signature auto-detect function is a step in the right direction. The platform's really easy to use once you get the hang of it, and it keeps everything organized so I don't have to chase down docs or worry about version control. I like how it handles signature pages and closing books automatically and saves a ton of time. It did take a bit to figure out all the features, and I’ve bumped into small annoyances like font hiccups or having to mark things as final, but those haven’t really slowed me down. Plus, their support team’s been super responsive whenever I needed help. All in all, it’s a solid tool that helps me stay on top of transactions without the usual stress. Pros The organization of the documents and filing system. Legal transactions are chaotic and Closing Folders helps us organize the documents in a proper way.
