Pros DAT load board provides details on the cost of the load which provides more insight for owner operators. Cons DAT doesn’t offer details on if brokers are approved for factoring with more than one factoring provider. There insight on freight brokerages and their standings are limited. Reason for choosing DAT Load Board They have more of an extensive carrier database compared to other platforms. There are much much better TMS systems out there! EZ Loader, Ascend and many others! Told weeks ago that everything would be cancelled, still taking money out. Still not refunded. They are an absolute joke. Don't expect help from \[sensitive content hidden\] or even answers. He only wants your money!! Possibly worse than a car salesman! Pros The efficiency of building loads and being able to save shipping and receiving locations. That is it. Cons Not mobile friendly. Nobody has answers. Told the system has capabilities but didn't say it required more hidden fees! They were quick to send over a contract and told me all of the things the system does, but didn't say more subscriptions were required, per user. Told their system has a loadboard but required another subscription. Went to do that and was told it also cost per month per user just to be able to post directly to the loadboard. This system has NO internal load board. You can only post what is built in loads! Told rateview is built into the system, it is not. Requires the same subscription as the load board. Guess what? Definitely like it more than Truckstops load board which I had first and left. Pros Easy to use, and maneuver. Love the settings such as weight etc. Cons Scammers posting fake loads everyday is really annoying and DAT needs to figure out how to stop it. April 24, 2025 1.0 With the way I was treated the last two weeks in mind, my experience was TERRIBLE!!!!!! The last two weeks make the first year totally not worth it. Pros For the most part, the load board is easy to navigate. DAT shows the avialable freight for different vehicle types. Cons This company DOES NOT value its customers at all. I had been using the load board since 2021. However, I was locked out of my account because my husband and I shared the username and password to the account. We live in the same house, share the same access to the the internet and work for the company in which we own. We were told we could not share profiles so we apologized and told them we didn't know we couldn't share login credentials. A week later someone attempted to login my account in Singapore, Dallas and Miami. I informed DAT representatives that it wasn't me and they told me to change my password, which I happily did. After complying with the password change, I was still blocked. I called DAT numerous times to try to get the issue resolved only to get the run around. I was told I was blocked because of insurance compliance which was untrue. I sent COIs showing that my insurance was active. After several days and plenty lies from DAT representatives, \[sensitive content hidden\] in particular, I was told I would be blocked because 144 VPNs were detected on my account. To any smart human, this yells FRAUD.....just not to DAT. Instead, I was told it was my fault that my account had been compromised. This is absolutely ridiculous. As a paying customer for years, I never complained when the load board was having technical issues which prevented paying customers to have access to load board to see available freight. Instead, I was patient and understanding. I'm just not sure why I didn't receive the same grace from DAT. Review Source GV Gio V. There’s definitely room for improvement, especially with outdated listings, but it’s been a key tool for keeping our business running. Once you learn to use the search filters well, it becomes a lot easier to manage. Pros It has one of the largest selections of loads, which makes it easier to keep trucks moving. The filters are helpful when you’re looking for something specific, and the rate information is usually reliable for negotiating with brokers. Cons Sometimes you’ll call on a load that’s already gone or doesn’t exist anymore, which is frustrating. There are also quite a few reposted loads that can clutter the results and waste time. I can do everything myself so I like that. Pros It has the best Loads is fast and it’s easy to use. The app is very easy to use and I also like that they have multiple options and different payment plans and monthly subscription. Cons I wish the price was a little bit cheaper and easier for the owner operators. Cons I don't have any complaints, I definitely would refer it to a friend in the trucking industry. This is the only load board I utilize to book my loads daily. I think I might upgrade to a better package as there is more functions with DAT that I haven't utilized yet. Pros I love how it's easy too search for what you want specifically with the equipment location, deadhead, and weight. Cons I wish it has a link/tab for you to choose from a list of brokers/ company that wants you to onboard within the dat system. This will cut down time by choosing to onboard with a company/broker before you reach out to them. 8/10 they want you already setup. Make the broker/ company completely fill out the load to accuracy i.e pick up dates/times and drop off pick up dates/times and specific things needed to require the loads. Review Source DW Drick W. I very much appreciate the new update regarding emailing the brokers. Cons Double brokering is uncontrollable every platform not just DAT. Rate offers and detailed descriptions should be mandatory fields. Example. Pu & del Dates/Times. Load requirements such as chains, straps, tarps. Commodity and how it is packaged(pallets etc.) Docks at pu & del location etc...we waste alot of time calling on loads because of limited info posted.
