Overall is very good, modern and will get things done easier. It's pretty amazing the capabilities it has.

Pros

Keeps things organized. It's a useful program for the business. It can take some time to get used to and learn.

Cons

Because of how capable it is, it can take time to learn and understand the program. But once you get in there and learn, it end up being great.

Pros

Overall once you have it customized to what your business needs to will capture it all. I just do believe we don't know what we dont know and need more help.

Pros

I do like we can customize most of the aspect.

Cons

It is a lot, not for the entry level business or less tech savvy person. I do think for us wanting to grow we will love that we did take on salesforce, however we have used extensive outside consultants to help and I believe still not in a great user space.

It takes a lot of work to incorporate the date but once you get it streamlined, you can sit back and let it do the work for you with little oversight.

Pros

Does a great job at managing all business prospects and syncing all data to ensure you can pull the right contacts and keep track of the contributions highlighted so you know where you are struggling and who is generating the most revenue throughout the year.

Cons

There is a lot of data to incorporate and it will take some time to streamline everything Salesforce can do.

Pros

Salesforce revenue cloud software help sales team to identify the best price and configure the product. It is an automation tool that help to find accurate pricing of products and reduces complex pricing into easiest way.

Cons

Sometime multiple option may confuse the user as interface is bit complex.

i really like the way the interface is designed. The data are easy to imput and the calculations are done almost automatically. The invoicing is easy due to template. it is also easy to do some self learning so as to better use the plateform and be able to get better value for money

Cons

It was NOT easy to set up and it is not intuitive - it requires training and persistence.

We wanted to stay on the salesforce platform four our entire ERP.

We looked at a few CPQ tools to help us automate a few obstacles in our (complicated) SaaS model. Steelbrick was the best solution out there for your buck. Pros: We were in a situation where our current (custom) CPQ solution did not allow the flexibility to add new products, adjust order forms, support local currencies (without an expensive developer resource) and it really empowered out business to address new opportunities by being able to do these things. There are a lot of objects and we needed to use them all to make our multi-year product model work and it seemed daunting, but really, I was able to pick up how everything fit together after a few days of diving in and playing around. The support and customer service team are absolutely amazing. Special shoutout to my CSM (Kelly Wilson) who responds day and night to emails and is always willing to find time to get on a call. Our primary support agent (ChrisL) is also really smart and easy to work with. No implementation of CPQ goes perfect, but we had great implementation engineer (ChrisT) and implementation consultant (ChrisH) who really PARTNERED with us to make sure the tool was what we needed to accomplish our goals. You can trust the product management team. We have already seen features that they have promised to us (contract amendments, for example). Cons: - We did not realize this until after implementation (and product management has promised us that it is a high priority), but the CPQ tool will only work in full data replica sandboxes. Partial and dev sandboxes do not bring over the 20+ object records that come with Steelbrick. You will need to make sure you also consider some data migration solution between environments. You can do this yourself. I did it once successfully and it took 4 hours. :( - CPU timeout errors. If you have complicated pricing on multi-year products and you make changes to those quotes (for example changing a 5 year deal to a 3 year deal), we often get a "CPU timeout" error. We can't ever get beyond this. We need to build a new quote. :( Again, Steelbrick product management has assured us that this will be addressed in future releases with more precise code.

Pros

Very well integrated with all salesforce applications all my contacts, clients, emails, quotes. Calendar and call back all in one place with reminders. Help things organized and make it easy to meet your sales goals. The ability to have multiple rate quote packages that can be updated anytime easily.

Cons

Costly for medium sized enterprises. calculation times can be sometimes slow

Still not sure that we are receiving the value that we are paying for, time will tell.

Pros

CPQ is a Salesforce product which allows you to build sophisticated quote pipelines. In general, this is useful if you have a diverse price book and different types of sales motions which require approvals from different stakeholders. There are different options when selecting CPQ, namely whether you need multiple approver capabilities. For a mid to large stage company, this is definitely a required feature and the native SFDC integration makes it easy to consume.

Cons

Pricing is quite high for this feature, it costs as much as SFDC seats itself which is a bit difficult to get approval for. Configuration for CPQ also requires a lot of technical knowledge and usually gets farmed out to a SFDC consulting group (even more $$$). If you are a small startup, you probably can do without CPQ until the sales cycle becomes more complicated.

So we have a very complicated set up in terms of products and pricing. All of my company's contracts have just slightly different terms (i.e. product 3 is 25% of the sum of products 2 and 3 for client one but 30% for client two but 20% with a $5000 minimum for client 3). With some creative problem solving assistance from our implementation team, we were able to make it so that our Sales team only sees the products associated with each client and get all of the product calculations to function appropriately (even though we didn't use Price actions) The only con that I can think of is that the Quote templates are somewhat buggy, and it's best if you know HTML since the WYSIWYG editor is temperamental. Once they are set up, however, cloning templates and adapting are a breeze.

Since two years now are we using CPQ from Steelbrick and are overall still very happy with our choice. It is easy to use when you need to get started soon but can also be configured highly to meet your requirements. It was for us a effeciency winner for generating quotes, streamlining configurations, abondoning wrong configurations and creating consistent layouts.
