Cons Not being able to fully tailor a single presentation for different screens (in house vs online/virtual). September 20, 2019 4.0 Pros The software is easy to learn and to use. It has been a big upgrade from PowerPoint, especially in it's ability to use motion backgrounds for song lyrics. The product also integrates with other Faithlife products like Logos, Faithlife Church Groups, and Faithlife Sites. The ability to record sermons automatically and then publish them directly to our website and created podcasts automatically is a big time saver. And the customer service is top notch. Also since the presentations are in the cloud, it makes it possible for several different people to work on the presentation. Cons Since the product is in the cloud, it is dependent on Faithlife's servers and our internet connection but we've rarely experienced problems with either. There is a way to run the presentation without being connected to the internet, but it does take some additional steps. Review Source RM Rubén M. It enabled us to eliminate printed bulletins saving time and money each week. It was a simple transition and we have not found anything we want to do that it cannot do. Pros We are a bi-vocational church staff so 100% remote and being able to plan worship at any time from any place is critical for us. The system is simple enough for most users and allow simultaneous editing so we can plan the parts of worship we own at any point. We have a designer who creates the slide templates and other leaders build the content. All of this from their homes or the coffee shop or wherever. The feature set continues to grow. It has a lot of different starter slides that help you for the time. Cons It is not as easy to set up and to use. It takes a lot of trials and practice before you can actually become somewhat proficient. Pros Faithlife Proclaim has a number of amazing content visualization and animations that is aesthetically pleasing for congregants to read scripture, lyrics and other presentations. Cons I struggled to figure out how to add songs to a music library or even find one. I also struggled with finding the scripture interface and found it pretty slow when sliding between verses. I also don't like the fact that I cannot really use it without stable internet connect. Pros I like the fact that multiple users can work from remote locations and everyones work synced together perfectly for our Sunday service. The ability for myself, our secretary and media production people each to do their job whatever time of day is great. Cons I wish the transferring of individual slides or elements of the weekly presentations were more easily transferable. It just seems like there could be a more processes. It is simple to plug in sermons, videos, photos, and works great with our other programs. Cons I'm not a big fan of monthly plans, so that is what I like the least about it. Cons Sometimes we lose "connection to the audio settings", for whatever reason, and the recording fails to happen. It is easy to set up, a cinche to maintain, and does what it is intended to do reliably. Cons Preset screen ratios that are not adjustable. This limits capabilities to some extent. Pros I love that it ties in with Logo's and slides go from my sermon straight to Proclaim. The ability to have your team sign in and update things as well as drawing announcements from your calendar. The ease of how all the products work together. I would purchase on my own if the church would not. Cons updates are at times glitchy. The price of technology. Cons The media library is growing but it is a little bit limited unless you pay for the Proclaim Pro Media as well. Pastor Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Amazing Collaborative presentation software" April 9, 2018 5.0 Pros Proclaim is typically marketed to churches. It's connections to CCLI song select make creating presentations so easy and fast. You can type a song title and an arrangement and the slides are generated, no need to type words. The whole program had cloud access allowing you to have multiple users who all work on the presentation: a pastor can add sermon slides, the worship leader can add songs, etc. videos, announcements, and YouTube links are simple and everything can be done from different computers. It is even integrated with a function that records sermons and can automatically publish to Facebook, a website or podcast feed. Cons The only thing I don't like is that the recordings can not have video added to them. Any time we have issues Faithlife has been quick to aid us in solving the issue. Pros Proclaim allows us to collaborate in the cloud to provide presentations for our services and Bible Studies. Great graphic features as well as interaction with our Bible Study tools. We feed the display that appears on the screens in the auditorium over to our video production software to add lower thirds and other full-screen graphics to our live stream. We dropped it for a little while, but when we had to do virtual church, we gave it a shot. A little rocky at first with Zoom, but we are back live and stream live using YouTube, it is working rather well with very few issues. Pros Very easy to begin, implement, train and use. Cons When we tried to use it with live and virtual software (Zoom), it did not play nice to do everything we wanted to do. I was able to use it successfully with very little fuss. Pros I love the many functions that FaithLife serves. From building an online social media group to creating and sending newsletters to preparing professional presentations! Cons The only down side I see is that there tend to be a lot of bugs, but their support team usually resolves them very quickly!
