### "Great Bang for the Buck"

My company uses Campaigner to communicate with our clients about our quarterly newsletter, monthly training and CenTex OpEx Consortium Events as well as details of training and events for which participants have registered. We have also used Campaigner during the pandemic to advise our clients about changing conditions/locations for events.

Pros

Campaigner has very a very user-friendly, logical user interface and is very versatile. I really appreciate the granularity of the report feature. Campaigner also is great about keeping up with bounced and dead email addresses, so this keeps our mailing list up-to-date.

Cons

Many times my Campaigner emails go to the junkmail of our clients. Even when I have sent the whitelist address, there are still problems--including my own e-mail! The image sizer does not work properly and has not ever. I always have to size my images in Photoshop prior to importing them into Campaigner messages and newsletters.

Reason for choosing Campaigner

Constant Contact was constantly "upselling" for functionality and storage that was absolutely essential. It got quite pricey.

### "Non-Intuitive User Interface & Customer/Tech Support Declining"

One of the biggest positives with Campaigner when I first got it 5 yrs ago was the hands-on Tech Support, which was readily available and really helpful. However, lately it hasn't been. I couldn't get a simple JPG image inserted without the software rejecting my test emails. Support was difficult to reach and ultimately worthless. Not only could the person not solve the problem, but the "escalation" support never came. I finally had to re-structure my email into a very simple text format. Very disappointing and frustrating. (Note: Earlier campaigns using the same image design always worked fine. Never had a problem.)

Pros

Ability to send 2,500 emails to our Contact base.

Cons

Using this software isn't intuitive. I have extensive MS Office experience but can't easily navigate this software. It is more like the WordPress software which is similarly frustrating.

### "Great value, could use a few more features"

It's much more user friendly, customizable, and visually appealing than our previous provider.

Pros

Ease of process from start to finish. If you use a template and drag-and-drop, it's easy to set an email up and test it, add contacts, and send.

Cons

Could use some more customization, sometimes I feel limited by the features. I also wish it was easier to take a previous email and duplicate it to make the next one, instead of making a template at the beginning of the design process.

### "Editting with the Interface & review of other features"

I am pleased with the transmission results and the data obtained. And as a Canadian company, we are pleased with paying in CDN $. But my most recent campaign must of taken me 3x longer to create because the editing screen is very cumbersome. Campaigner's email editor has become CamPAINer email editor.

Pros

The features to add design was useful. From simple lines, centering, different fonts etc.

Cons

Changes recently to interface have become cumbersome and difficult. The active screen where I create is narrow. On the same window, I see identification of my campaign, saving features, other menus. These items are static, but take up more than half of the screen. Meanwhile my onscreen work area has become smaller. I went to choose images to add to my campaign and the menu screen that appears looks like a doorslot for a boozecan (illegal tavern)

Reason for choosing Campaigner

Canadian $ billing (only other was Red Oxygen). 1st attempt to use interface was relatively smooth. Some of the USA providers were requesting that I had to submit to American anti-spam legislation procedures. But my database had been built over \`10 years and all of the contacts are regional (Canadian domestic) and we had followed CASL guidelines. Your sales rep said that my contact list should have no problems with acceptance and he was correct.

I used the product for nearly a decade, so i'd call myself a satisfied user.

Pros

for my small business-publication company, Campaigner was very helpful in setting up a mechanism to stay in regular contact with my readership. the product was fairly easy to use; the support people were very helpful.

Cons

never got into the analytics and trend reporting as much as I wanted to. This might have been a failure on my part as much as some shortcoming in how Campaigner analytics are used.

### "Campaigner review"

Pros

I like that it's allowed my team to send out tailored emails to our audiences, it serves it's purpose well

Cons

The software is glitchy and not that intuitive to use. I often have to call the customer service reps to fix something or check I've set up something correctly. The test emails take on average 30mins to come through so when you have a deadline this becomes troublesome. I believe if the software was more user friendly it would speed up the process of using it which would increase satisfaction. Also, sometimes when the test email comes through it looks different to what you've created in the software and there's really no way of knowing how to fix it, with out multiple tests or calling in.

### "Serious Email Management Tool for Small Businesses"

Easy to use, responsive customer service from an actual person - so much better than the competition.

Pros

We have other clients who use the more well-known competitors, but we prefer using Campaigner for the clients who chose this option. It's a more serious and straight-forward email marketing tool. It gets the job done easily and efficiently.

Cons

No real cons. We have been using this for a few clients for a long time, through company and name changes on Campaigner's side - and it has only gotten better over time.

Pros

The depth of Campaigner is very nice. They have a lot of tools and functionality that allow for strategic and detailed email marketing campaigns. Their customer support is responsive and ready to answer any questions one might have.

Cons

The dashboard, itself, looks a bit dated. I know that's only for backend users eyes, but there could be some updates to intuitive features, like drag and drop email builds.

### "My Preferred System"

I use campaigner to prepare newsletters for a State Representative and send them out to a large constituent base. Campaigner gives me the flexibility to develop a template that is easy to use and easy to read. Compared to the other systems I use, I much prefer campaigner and wish that more of my clients would use this system.

Pros

I have used several systems during the past several years, and my favorite is Campaigner - it is very intuitive, user friendly and incredibly flexible as templates go.

Cons

Like many systems, the constraints of templates and other considerations sometimes make it desirable or necessary to use the actual code to best format newsletters. I found that to be the case with Campaigner - but, no more so than most other systems - and Campaigner is very accommodating to downloading code, updating offline, and reloading updated code for the final newsletter.

### "SMTP Relay "

Overall communication with the company is difficult. My guess is they contract the SMTP relay function to a third party. Therefore, the Campaigner staff does not seem to know much about its functionality. When calling support, they don't seem to be very knowledgeable and seem to be consulting with someone else before responding. This occurred from the beginning trying to setup the SMTP relay.

Pros

Emails can be sent directly to Campaigner and they relay to destination eliminating blacklisting blocks

Cons

This is not simply a SMTP Relay. It seems their model is built around them managing and sending out email lists. Therefore, they maintain a contacts database that is used to filter out and they do not send those emails they have marked as not active. Then, when you send addresses that are not active, it goes into the bit bucket and there is no reporting that those addresses have been ignored.

### "Great product for the price"

Overall, it performs just as well as other software out there with a Canadian server. The price is very good.

Pros

\-Easy to use -Intuitive -Reports are comprehensive -Contacts are easy to manage -Lists (groups) are easy to manage -Canadian user that needs data to be kept on a Canadian server and campaigner meets that need.

Cons

Sometimes, what you design in drag-drop editor isn't what gets sent out.

great tech support! I probably would have gone to another service but your text support is so good - I love the fact that I can talk to a real person, I don't have to wait on hold forever and they are always kind, even when I am not such a tech savvy person, they are still patient and helpful.

Cons

the interface is a bit PC, in that I mean it's not very intuitive, it's not visually pleasing, which I think if you want to show people how to send out well-designed pleasing emails to their customer it should be more graphically interesting. I completely create my own emails and I do not use any of your templates because they are not designed well.

### "When we had issues start, we were ignored, then told nothing could be done."

Nothing. We were forced into it when they bought Email Direct.

Pros

Not much to like. Any other ESP is better off for the money. I guess its a little more inexpensive than its competitors, but you get what you pay for.

Cons

Extremely poor customer service. Constant changes that result in service outages. Terrible deliverability. Weak design platform. We began to have performance issues, alerted them to the problem, and were told after much discussion that basically they will not help. We moved to a new provider and our metrics increased by nearly 400%.

### "it worked fine for my use"

I didn't use all the features of this program. But it worked for me to send out a large amount of emails.

Pros

I felt it was safe to store addresses here. Wasn't bad to use and I'm not real good with computers.

Cons

Some people had problems with e-mails going to their trash. I couldn't delete old templates even though it said I could.

The email campaign and forms setup are intuitive and flexible, allowing creativity while maintaining ease of use.

Cons

I did not get the support i needed to exploit all its features. In fact, your people told me they were NOT ALLOWED to recommend a company to upload to Magento 2 - though I asked.

Reason for choosing Campaigner

mailchimp's client service was way worse that campaigner's. But mailchimp's full integration with magento seems to be known by many more programmers. I still dont know WHO installs campaigner on magento. I chose campaigner because they bought out MAILERMAILER. That was a bit of an upgrade.

### "Totally unimpressed with Campaigner"

Pros

Lots of (very dated) templates to choose from, offers image hosting (limited), and multiple users.

Cons

Where do I even begin with Campaigner. I couldn't believe how much my company was paying to use Campaigner when I found out. There's absolutely no drag and drop functionality, even though they've been mentioning beta testing for years now. Their supposedly responsive templates are NOT responsive at all, image hosting is limited and finding saved images is extremely hard to do. No matter what, any HTML templates created elsewhere seems to break within Campaigner.

Pros

They have samples we can be used for the marketing and just made to input writing. Emails can be delivered within scheduled time frame

Cons

I hope I can send emails separately within the group. Maybe there is a source and is just that I do not know how to use

### "Would be Happy if Problem were Resolved"

I have never gotten my issue resolved with the reception of the weekly Friday email that I send out. It goes to everyone on our list, but NOT here to the office. This has been for several months now. I was emailed instructions on June 9 to remedy the situation, but something I was told to do does not work, resulting in frustration. it's not the end of the world, but it's not optimal.

Pros

The template I have switched to is much better looking and I am learning to use it as I go.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to wrap text around a photo.

### "Great for Non Profits!"

Campaigner allows us to get information to our membership quickly. We keep in touch with our members more frequently and keep them engaged in our organization.

Pros

Ease of administration, uploading pictures. The technical support staff is AWESOME! They help solve issues (usually user made) in short amount of time and they're accessible through chat or over the phone promptly.

Cons

Our membership rosters constantly change and it would be advantageous to be able to completely delete a mailing list and upload a new one. Currently, we are sorting through 5,000 names monthly to upload and delete.

Ease of use and flexibility. Sales people that we talked too were very informative.

### "There are Better Options"

I am not only disappointed in the functionality of the platform, but when I purchases the service I was promised a solution to spambot clicks - albeit a universal problem - I was promised they had it addressed. They didn't. While support has generally been good, what good is it if you CONSTANTLY need support (I'm not a novice)?

Pros

I guess I like the flexibility of the drag and drop email construction... when it works.

Cons

There are SOOOO many glitches in the software. Sometimes images appear, sometimes they don't. Sometimes previews are sent, sometimes they are not. The constant duplication of effort is frustrating.

Pros

CASL compliant. Customize and personalize your message for dynamic broadcasts. Excellent reporting.

Cons

It does not integrate with very many programs. Unlike mailchimp.

Pros

I like that was easy to use, in the sense that was intuitive. Setting emails and workflows was not difficult.

Cons

When getting results or reports the numbers were no reliable. I had the feeling that I couldn't trust the numbers. Also there were problems with email duplications that they couldn't solve.
