Support has been helpful when needed, and quick to resolve issues I may have encountered. Delivery rates seem good, and reporting is relatively detailed. Pros The software is relatively easy to use, and the learning curve is moderate compared to some others I have tried. Cons I would like it if Campaigner was integrated into more 3rd party platforms. Generally, I see most of Campaigners competitors as options for direct integration, but not Campaigner. Customizing our own emails in this way is extremely important in our business. - Being able to see the metrics of who has clicked and how many times helps us to prioritize our follow up. This is huge. Cons \- Navigating the user interface can be cumbersome at times especially in reviewing the metrics for clicks, and opens. It seems to kick you back to the beginning and forces you to click through multiple menus to return to different options. - More insights into what was clicked and by who would be more useful. Or a profile of each contact and their activity within our emails would be nice. Being able to see that John Doe has opened the past 5 email blasts on office properties and clicked the brochure link on 3 of those would be ideal. CEO Design Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Nice service, good features, but has some outdated interfaces" January 28, 2021 5.0 Pros Is an easy to use product, with the basic features to run email campaigns and do A/B testing. The media library works flawless and lets you organize your files with ease. The email templates are good and can be edited very easily. You have the option to upload your own email template in HTML. Cons There are some admin screens where you feel like there's a lack of development in some areas. For example, the login page needs you to connect from the same IP address. If not, you need to call, chat or email support for your new IP to be whitelisted. There are plenty of options they could use like 2FA for keeping the login secure without the need of calling support every time you want to login. It works for me - easy to copy previous emails and make adjustments. Easy to update contact lists. Cons I frequently run into challenges with adding content. The spacing and fonts get messed up. The support team tells me it has something to do with Chrome and how chrome views the emails. I woudl think you would build it to integrate better with the largest browser. Reason for choosing Campaigner Before you became Campaigner, you offered CASL buttons to have clients opt in/out. It was a good feature to track who joined/left and remain compliant. I was able to set up well with lots of help from customer service. Now I am familiar with it and I use it every 1-2 months. I don't believe in pounding people with emails every week. It's great to have the stats from the emails to see how the subject lines are working. I had some problems in the past with some of my lists but that was sorted out with help from sales and customer service. Cons It's quite expensive for my small business. Probably need to prune down my databases. I have no idea how to do that and I am not sure if the contacts duplicate between different lists. I really don't have a lot of complaints about campaigner. July 29, 2019 5.0 We crossed over from another platform Streamsend, and the integration was very seamless. Was able to pick-up Campaigner pretty quickly with minimal support. Overall, thumbs-up. I enjoy this platform more then the former. Pros There is a great feature which I have not found on other platforms whereby you can upload lists separately and still send them as a part of the same campaign. Re-sending campaigns is also very simple. User-friendly for first time users. Cons There should be a legend for mail merge fields that shows if they are valid/ working and what they are mapped to. One of my campaigns did not send one time because I had incorrectly labelled the mail merge field and I could not figure it out. " April 2, 2018 4.0 Pros Does the job for the price point and flexibility. We have explored using other competitors but have never pulled the trigger based on what Campaigner has to offer. Cons The overall designing of the email was a bit over my head at times. Also, adding in first names fields was not designed well in the software. If I recall, you could drag that field into the body, however, the correct way to do this was not with a drag. Or perhaps that was opposite, it's been awhile since I used it. Either way, I did it wrong, even though in the email it had the field in place, it actually showed up as, Hi (insert first name) instead of actually inserting their first name. This went out to a large email before our biggest trade show and had so many people forward this back to us. Embarrassing. Now I have to double test but the system should not have allowed you to add this field without it pulling the data behind it. Pros We have used different newsletter services and Campaigner was really simple to set up, upload our contacts and create our first newsletter. Metrics are built in and it is really reliable in getting your emails through many of the spam filters. Cons Pricing can be higher than other competing email marketing services. I’ve sent tons of email campaigns with this software and it allows me to set myself apart from the competitors. I can literally have a campaign built and sent within minutes. Pros I like that you can edit via wysiwyg or full code. Super easy to use from creation of email campaigns to reporting and contact management. I only use 1/4 of the capabilities and I love it. Cons Could have a few more reporting options but has the important ones. Imports are the easiest of any software I have ever used including some higher end software. Cons The one thing I would say that is a con is building campaigns is not as easy as some programs.
