President Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Good product with lots of flexibility" July 17, 2019 4.0 Pros In my industry, flashing graphics and complicated layouts lead to less engagement. I like the ability to create a largely text only message with specific links users can click to see more "full throated" descriptions and media. Cons Prices go up as the number of contacts you have goes up, and too much IMO. It seems to me the number of contacts a customer has doesn't significantly raise server needs or technology needs, so I don't get why the price increases 5 fold. We use it exclusively to stay in touch with our shareholders and therefore don't use any of the email marketing functionality. Pros Application was easy to setup and easy to use. It has a lot of capability that we do not use. Cons We are a light user, but the one functionality I would like is a more flexible scheduling system. We have a couple of emails (Monthly Conference Call Reminders) that we would like to have sent automatically every month. We currently have to schedule them individually each month. Reason for choosing Campaigner At the time that we started using Campaigner, there was a free version with a small contact quota that accommodated our small shareholder list. Cons everything. hard to import contacts and when i spoke to customer service they said i should skip the free trial and pay for the service because the free trial wouldn't let me import as many contacts as i had. once i paid i could not reach customer service and all the friendly customer service calls they used to make to me that i found so accommodating stopped all of sudden. i want to cancel as i already switched BACK to vertical response but i am unable to reach anyone or cancel on my own. Pros The ease of use is the best, the templates for all the holidays and situations rock. It is great how it integrates with our business Facebook also. The tracking features are wonderful, you can see the click rate for each link in the email. The duel subject line option works well. Really like the total package and customer service has helped us every time we needed it. The scheduled sends for future sales or events is a great tool to have. Cons I wish it had a spam checker like our old software, which would give you a (%) of spamminess and show you which words were causing the rating. I can upload images and link to specific pages on our website. The templates can be easily modified to send a similar email to a different group. Cons I wish I could send more emails per month for the same cost. I also wish if it goes unused one month that they would roll over the unused emails to the next month. Chief Community Officer Financial Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Functional platform, fantastic customer service " October 15, 2020 4.0 We are administering a COVID-19 responsive loan program for small businesses and nonprofits left out of other funding programs, so it was critical to get the word out to interested organizations as soon as possible. A competitor flagged our first message as spam due to phrases like loan, get capital quickly, etc. and had no clarity on how to get this resolved as our phones rang off the hook with calls from organizations wanting this information. Campaigner made it easy to set up our messages, tailor segments for different audiences, and get the word out fast. Their customer service team was an absolute dream. Pros The customer service is impeccable. Responsive, helpful, and friendly! Cons The user interface was not immediately intuitive, but the customer service team and supportive knowledge base made it easy to implement our goals. April 12, 2022 4.0 Overall the LIVE technical support and helping us with our email deliverability wins over the small technical issues we experienced. Pros Campaigner helped get my company off the spam list. I worked closely with their customer support team and talked to live people! It took us a few weeks but honestly our email campaigns aren't going straight into spam folders now and it was worth the time and investment. I dropped MailChimp for Campaigner because Mailchimp didn't have anyone to talk to or couldn't help our company with our technical issue. So speaking to a live tech support team was critical! Cons I think it needs alot of work with regards to increasing file sizes within the context of the email campaign (increased file size for gifs, email resolution looks pixelated) and the way the files have to be formatted specifically with no dashes or spaces inside the email campaign takes up alot of time for our company. September 27, 2017 2.0 Avoid this product Pros Becomes fairly intuitive after a short while. The list building feature (my list) is nice. Customer service is responsive. Cons Email through Campaigner CRM did not go through to prospects (big issue), dated design and features became frustrating. Social media integration worked for LinkedIn worked and then did not. Customer service told me they were working on it--for more than a year. Twitter integration never did work. This was a main reason for buying the product, thus a huge disappointment. Pros I am using Campaigner for a newsletter and find that it works very well. It is easy to use and set up, and you can use a previous campaign if you want. Cons It seems to log me out for no reason, even when I am in the middle of doing something. It is not quite as robust as I would like it, as there are somethings I would like it to do, like gradient background color, that I have to do in another program and then bring it in as a picture. Reason for choosing Campaigner Matter of price and the stepped increase in price as the number of emails increased. Other services had a lower threshold of emails before a price increase. Depending if you need to email without any assistance from a webmaster to integrate a solution, this would be a good choice. Pros It makes creating nice campaigns very easy and adding new names has a number of good options for your distribution list. Cons It seemed less flexible than some in removing old users and adding new users with a waiting period. Pros I like the ease of the editing feature. It allows me to preview my campaign and click on the links to make sure they work. It is very easy to navagiate. Cons I wish there was a way for me to tell how many emails I was sending to the moment I send it - I select from multiple lists for each campaign and would like to have a counter available so I can choose the correct lists. We are limited to 100,000 / month so I usually do 2 campaigns of 50,000. This feature would be helpful.
