### "A fine email suite with some room to improve in automation"

I've used Delivra for 7 years by this point; their movement from the original HTML-based email coding to the current "air" model was an unexpected change, but once it was adopted, modular email design and customization became much faster.

Pros

Setting up, coding, designing, saving and reusing email ad templates is quick and easy to learn. Scheduling a week or month worth of ads ahead of time is easy to do once you've already set up a plan for what to advertise.

Cons

Automated email blasts are available, but the customization in the method of how to determine which email comes next after a particular step in the process is a little lacking. Designing the flow of emails is set up using string connections similar to those of a Unity-based program; having a secondary method that uses jump points akin to a J#-based program would let more "out" nodes connect to a single "in" node to better design the automation flow.

It is a budget-friendly option but lacks the intuitive design and user experience I've come to expect from email marketing platforms. Particularly lacking are analytics and reporting features.

Pros

It's a price-friendly option for those newer to email marketing and marketing automation as a whole. The platform is relatively easy to navigate and the tools necessary for successfully deploying campaigns are all available.

Cons

For seasoned marketers, this platform leaves a lot to be desired. Reporting and analytics isn't intuitive, platform navigation is...clunky, there are significant hoops to jump through that are unnecessary for most email campaigns.

We love Delivra. We actually left for another ESP and came back to Delivra as soon as that contract ended.

Pros

I love that Delivra is very easy to use. From email management to templates to design customization, Delivra has everything you need. Plus, their support staff is amazing.

Cons

The only thing I wish Delivra had that other platforms do is an auto-schedule for resends to non-opens. While Delivra's process isn't complicated, being able to set it up when you schedule an initial send is a perk I miss.

### "The ESP For Power Users"

Delivra's price is pretty fair at this point, early on for us it was a bit high is now pretty competitive and offers advanced features that you can't find from the vast majority of ESP's. Their support has always been very good as understanding our questions and providing sufficient help. Deliverability has been solid. We've been using them for around 6 or 7 years and there's never been a debate of switching those lists to any other provider.

Pros

Delivra has the hands-down most-powerful segmentation engine on the market. You can have hundreds of rules and mix and match dozens of different types. There's also more operators than you could imagine. Delivra might be the only ESP in the market who does suppression lists right, offering the ability to exclude a category, segment, campaign or uploading a simple custom list that can be used and reused, as well as the ability to easily upload a list of bad contacts - which, aren't counted against billing. They also have an exceedingly rare feature with the ability to have custom tables to store custom data if the existing set of custom fields isn't enough. Their API, also offers more data on campaigns that most ESP's on the market. The lack of decent custom fields plagues the ESP market and Delivra over-delivers there. They allow for an unlimited number of senders and test lists, as well as subaccounts, making them idea for large teams, multiple departments and agencies or publications with multiple clients and lists. For power users, Delivra should be on of your top contenders.

Cons

The new interface is a breath of fresh air, but still needs some work, some features are still missing or don't work as well. The legacy view is ugly, but it does the trick. Delivra, like most ESPs does not do much if anything to filter out spam clicks, but does provide you more than enough information to do this yourself manually or with their API and some additional tools.

We tried over 60 ESP's before landing on Delivra. They worked with us to understand the B2B market and lists and offered reasonable pricing and a superb feature set - mainly the suppression lists, segmentation and API that stood out to us.

My overall experience with Delivra is pretty great. I would recommend many companies to use it because it can truly be a hole in one tool especially for digital designers and data analysts. If you don't have Delivra you're missing out.

Pros

It has so many more functions over MailChimp. I can design emails down to the smallest details and track what areas consumers are the most interested in.

Cons

The small text within the interface bothers my eyes in some areas. I wish it was 2-3pts bigger.

Overall, Delivra is a pretty intuitive email marketing platform that works well and is similar to some of the other big names in the business. When we've needed help, the customer service has been available and helpful.

Pros

Drag and drop editor is easy to use; mostly intuitive functionality; love that we can schedule emails far in advance; cloning a previous email makes sending weekly emails where the only change is the recipients super simple; imports are easy

Cons

Some of the more complex functions are a little more difficult than I had hoped for, but we're still working through those and Delivra's customer service has been very helpful with these functions in the past when we've needed their help

Onboarding was relatively quick and easy. The launch was successful, and making changes was pretty easy as well. Any questions were quickly answered. The help desk staff is small, but very patient and helpful and actually answer questions instead of just sending you off to an article (like other platforms I've experienced).

Pros

Easy to use, UI is logical and intuitive, cost is reasonable for our size and needs.

Cons

Not much! Maybe just something small like on the Contacts page I wish I could set a default sorting instead of having to manually sort it each time I go onto the page.

I've used two versions at two different non-profits and it's always been reliable in that emails look exactly how they should in someone's inbox, previews are solid, lists are easy to upload and manage. I never feel lost.

Pros

The simplicity of its design and the way it gets out of my way as an email designer and lets me be fluid and experimental with layouts and ideas.

Cons

I wish scheduling emails greyed out the "send now" option. I hit that instead as "save" is away up in the corner.

Pros

Dynamic content feature saves us so much time. Every aspect of Delivra's interface is user-friendly and if I every get stuck, their customer support is outstanding.

Cons

I wish more text formatting options were available in the editor, but with all of the other functionality I can't complain too much.

The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod has used Delivra for 10 years now with my involvement for the last 8 years performing emailing tasks for our users. From experience I know that Delivra has a great customer support team who are very responsive and helpful! Working in our company's IT department I routinely work with our user departments to create their emailings to their expectations and upload email lists into segments for their needs. Delivra is easy to use and understand so we've set up access to key folks able to take on the responsibility for their own emailings. These include weekly, monthly, and quarterly newsletters, as well as notices, information, or surveys for conventions, gatherings, and workshops. Generating reports for the count results afterwards of those emailings delivered and read, clicked and forwarded, or of bad email addresses is very helpful for our departments and show how successful we are in reaching those recipients. Delivra has been a great resource for the LCMS over the last decade!

Pros

Intuitive and very easy to use. Does not need interaction with others to operate or understand.

Pros

The automation tools are awesome, easy to set up and easy to customize. As a software engineer, it was big for me to make sure the company we used had good api documentation, and so far all the documentation on the website of Delivra has helped us implement things well.

Cons

I do wish some of the analytics were more customizable, more options to create views per conversion/purchases etc.

Pros

I really appreciated the responsiveness and how helpful the Support person was for me when my organization ran into some issues with Delivra. We were able to solve the problem quickly, and I was also able to learn more about how to use Delivra well.

Cons

I think it can be confusing with contacts being able to be set as normal, but not being in categories/segments. It sounds silly now that I know how it works, but before I got support, navigating the contacts, categories, and segments was really confusing. I wish there was a way to view the contacts in a specific category - maybe there is and I just don't know

Delivra is easy to use whether your email marketing campaigns are large or small. I have been a Delivra customer for 6 years and during that time they have become incredibly versatile in order that no matter what kind of campaign you are designing, Delivra has a send option for you. They offer thorough and robust reporting functions that allow you to see the impact of your campaigns over time. I would recommend Delivra to anyone, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned marketing professional; it is flexible enough to be an appropriate solution for any size company.

Pros

It is easy to use and they update the software regularly to be competitive with other providers. They have extensive tools for help and learning. Their customer service team is friendly and helpful as well.

Cons

I can't think of anything I don't like. They have streamlined a lot of features recently, so things that were kind of "clunky" - like the send feature, have been dramatically improved.

Delivra was a good solution to our needs. They have a lot of capabilities and opportunities to reach your audience. They are always in touch with their clients about what's improving/changing and it appears they are always adding new things to make the email process easier.

Pros

I like the automation tools and split testing. It's great for setting a campaign and then letting the software do the work for you.

Cons

Sometimes the draft view and the test email view do not match up correctly and it causes a little extra time to get it to look just right.
