The customer service provided by the Vome team is exceptional. All emails and inquiries are answered quickly and with detail. Interactions with the team always result in helpful information and steps to success.

Pros

The main reason we looked for volunteer management software was to offer the flexibility for our volunteers to schedule and change shifts on their own. Vome allows this with ease, and is quite user friendly for most of our volunteers and has created efficiency for our Volunteer Manager.

Cons

For recruiting, we find it can be a barrier for potential volunteers to have to create an account in order to even apply for a role. We are still working through this and not using the recruiting or onboarding features at this time.

We’ve been using this volunteer management system for a while now, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. The platform itself is intuitive, easy to navigate, and has streamlined the way we organise, schedule, and communicate with our volunteers. What really sets this system apart, however, is the outstanding customer care. Highly recommend to any organization that values both great tools and outstanding service.

Some features took a little time to learn and still exploring different areas of the system. No major drawbacks so far — any small issues were quickly resolved by support.

I really appreciate that volunteers can book their own shifts based on their availability. It gives them flexibility and reduces back-and-forth communication. The platform also streamlines the volunteer application and recruitment process, making it much easier to manage and stay organized.

Cons

I would love to see a step-by-step onboarding guide with short tutorial videos. Having the ability to explore the platform independently, without worrying about making mistakes, would make the learning process smoother and more user-friendly.

Experience has been incredibly positive. There are many tools, features, and supports for integration and maintenance (job aids, FAQs, and customer support).

Pros

Very easy to use and navigate; it is intuitive, visually appealing, and has great features - both for administrators and users. Vome support is helpful, responsive, and effective. Communication and tracking features make the program a great tool for our uses and needs.

Cons

I have not found anything I dislike. The only minor critique is the occasional small bugs with the app, but they are minimal and quickly resolved.

We've been using Vome Volunteer Pro for a little over six months, and it's been a game-changer. The check-in kiosk has been a wonderful resource, and it has helped to streamline our volunteer check-in/check out processes. Furthermore, the ability to customize categories and opportunities for volunteers has helped to increase volunteer interest. With all of our volunteer opportunities in one place, it's much easier for volunteers to look at all our available options. This centralization has helped bring in new volunteers, as well as increased the number of young adults interested in participating in our programs and events. Additionally, everyone on the Vome team is a delight to work with. Questions are answered promptly, and Vome is very receptive to customer feedback. In the time that we've been with them, Vome has added at least three new features and updated several others. I look forward to seeing what they add in the future!

Vome was the better choice in terms of quality and cost. Additionally, the layout is more modern, which makes it easier for volunteers to navigate. Overall, we selected Vome because it rated the highest in our volunteer trials and offered select features that other VMS did not. Additionally, the chat feature was a huge benefit for our organization as well. Chats make it easy for groups of volunteers to connect for their event/program without getting spammed with text messages or multiple emails.

As a manager of volunteers, I've worked with five other volunteer software companies. This is the first time I've felt valued as a customer - instead of just one of the masses. Vome is easy to navigate, easy to customize, and affordable for our small nonprofit.

Pros

Vome's customer service is top notch. Response time is quick and personalized. New features are added frequently and I feel listened to and valued as a customer when I have an item to add to the feature wish list.

Cons

The program is still a little buggy and sometimes I need to close out and restart. However, my overall experience overshadows this inconvenience.

Vome is user friendly and has been easy to implement within our organization - the platform has allowed us to transition away from manual tracking, saving time and resources. The support team is responsive, helpful, and always working to add additional features that are commonly requested by organizations.

Cons

To date there has not been any function or issue we've experienced with Vome that we could not troubleshoot or receive support for - no complaints.

Overall, my experience has been very good. Personalized service and training for a reasonable fee for my non-profit. I am happy with the capabilities available. As I fully transition from spreadsheets to the software, I am sure it will continue to save me many hours of work!

Pros

User interface is attractive and mostly intuitive. My volunteers are also finding it that way. I like the price point as well!

Cons

Sometimes the admin side is confusing to me. And the info on the support website is not always accurate. But when I create a support ticket, the support team is really quick to respond and offer me a solution.

Super service à la clientèle! Lorsque j'ai une problématique, l'équipe me répond rapidement et cherche des solutions à nos problèmes. suite à certains commentaires, ils ont même mis à jour leur logiciel afin d'être plus efficace.

Cons

L'horaire. Je trouve qu'elle est difficile à naviguer. Une fois que nous connaissons la marche à suivre ça va bien, mais ça aurait besoin d'être améliorer.

Vome has been a great resource for us! We’ve been through so many websites, but Vome has so far been the only one that reaches the often strange needs we come across.

Pros

Vome has been a game changer for us! We are pretty unique in the way we utilize 2000+ volunteers a year and Vome has been the only site I’ve come across that is this flexible and meets our budget needs. The automation has been a huge time saver. They’ve been updating left and right and keep adding valuable tools!!

Cons

The site is newer and so some times there has been some tech glitches. The site is also too flexible sometimes and there’s multiple ways to use the site which can be confusing.

Pros

Vome has proven to be an invaluable tool to me as it has transformed the way I keep track of volunteer schedules, volunteer data, volunteer opportunities and GREATLY simplified the process of calculating volunteer hours for quarterly reports! Additionally, the "forms" tool has REALLY simplified volunteer onboarding processes for both regular and one-time volunteers (saving me and the Cabbage Patch time, money and sanity!!!). While it is not a perfect tool, it is really good for the services you receive for the price you pay!! Would recommend to other Volunteer Coordinators.

Cons

Figuring out the number of individual volunteers coming each month is a bit challenging as Vome keeps track of the number of attendees who come to the Cabbage Patch (new + repeat volunteers) but it takes a lot more work to figure out how many unique volunteers are attending over a period of time. Additionally, the app does not always work perfectly and I can never seem to successfully share shift links to my volunteers. I also wish the volunteer sign-in kiosks would update automatically, so I would not have to manually refresh them each day!

It is easy to use for both volunteers and myself on the admin side. It is also easy to navigate and look up total hours a volunteer has completed over specific time frames and in general.

Cons

Don't really have anything negative to say about Vome. If I ever encountered any issues, customer support resolved it quickly

Pros

Easy of use, reporting, cost and the scheduling. I am able to set up a whole section for my trainers and that allows volunteers to sign up for the training very easily. Vome lets the volunteers to be flexible and add a shift quickly and last minute. Vome also helped me set it up from start to finish.

Cons

I don't really think I have a con. Of course, there is a learning curve and enhancements to make.

Per usual with any new system there was a large learning curve but it has been great in streamlining my process and moving everything digitally.

Pros

How you can store files, create unique forms, and track every step of the onboarding process. You can really set the system up for your unique needs. We have multiple volunteer opportunities each with their own onboarding requirements and vome makes it easy to keep track of where each volunteer is in the process.

Cons

It can be a little buggy, but this hasn't significantly impacted my ability to function and get things done. If you change the size of the screen it will kick you out of pop up screens, the email is giving me troubles (but currently being worked on), sometimes when you click on something it won't populate, you have to click multiple times. But for the price and the function all of those issues are pretty much not an issue.

Overall I am very happy with VOME from the last software I was using. The learning curve to use was fairly easy. A few glitches, which I anticipated, but the customer service is helpful!

Ease of scheduling, training videos can be shown as watched and have questions, mass import of volunteers, reports and analytics, multiple forms, instant messaging option, electronic signatures for documents

Cons

Dashboard doesn't show birthdays, anniversaries, expiration of forms/sequences, can't print schedule by calendar view, no notification for shifts not filled, have to check in with a QR code or 6 digit code

I prioritize customer service when picking any kind of platform like this - and they excel! It feels they really listen to my feedback and prioritize innovation. The platform has been very useful for all the volunteer managers, no matter the technical skill of the manager.

Pros

It's really easy for volunteers to sign up. We've had more volunteers finish the process than ever before! We also love the customer support and it seems the team and organization prioritizes innovation - they always seem to be working on a new feature!

Cons

There are some steps that are convoluted and may add some confusion. But once you get the hang of it then it's really easy. My biggest con is the current lack of a anonymous group feature where I can assign large groups of volunteers to a project without inputting specific data for everyone. BUT they said it's on their pipeline.

It is very user-friendly for our volunteers and admin. It has features that make it more engaging for volunteers which really helps our program. I also appreciate the access to Vome staff for training - it really makes it easier to use to implement in our agency!

Cons

I don't have anything really to note. I know that there are more features coming that we are excited to use in the future.

Vome is wonderful in almost every way, it has been a tremendous switch!

Pros

Vome makes it EASY for volunteers. New volunteers are able to easily onboard through a sequence that we are able to create. We are able to open up new opportunities easily and quickly!

Cons

Vome has slightly slower load times when switching pages.

Overall, it was a good experience. The team was extremely responsive with getting myself and my team set-up and trained. They also responded very quickly when I emailed in questions.

Pros

I really liked that the volunteers could adjust their shifts (add/change/cancel) on their own time. I liked that I could pull a few different reports, depending on what information I needed. I also LOVE the price point of this software. I can downgrade my subscription when I don't need it, but then can upgrade when I get busy again - that's such a great feature!

Cons

Some of our students signed up while they were in a different time zone, which didn't switch to the current time zone, so it was showing shift times that started at 11:00 pm! I also started using vome pretty close to the event. I should spend more time learning the software to see if I can use it more to my advantage.
