Pros Codecademy has has a lot of courses that are available for free and even more that are available if you pay. Cons If you want to unlock more courses it is very expensive also the courses don’t give too much context to the exercises . Pros The most interesting feature of Codecademy is that the code can be run from the browser, followed by the examples, and the fact that in almost all the courses you put the learning to test, exercising and writing code. Cons I liked least the variety of courses, but I am sure that the content will be improved in the future. Switched from [Udemy Business](https://www.capterra.com/p/209689/Udemy-for-Business/) I made the switch because at the previous company where I worked I received for free the Udemy for Business, and at the actual company Codecademy was my best selection learning wise. Pros I like that Codecademy provides competitions and challenges for the community to enhance their experience. Codecademy is affordable, especially for students as it offers a student discount. Also, I like the talks and sessions that Codecademy organizes weekly where they host people from the industry. Cons The user interface is not food to encourage people to study. Codecademy lacks gamification which makes the cycle of learning more exciting. Also, I don't like that most of the courses are out of date and don't qualify me for today's market labor.
