### "Rapidly evolving product with a 5 star customer support team"

IAM's automation of our Account Governance has really freed up time for our systems admins. We still occasionally get a wrench thrown in the gears for some oddball thing we do, but I can honestly say this is mostly our fault and not IAM. I can't over emphasize how sharp their support team have been, though. It usually doesn't take longer than a couple hours of submitting a ticket to having one of their engineers working with me 1 on 1 over a remote session. On a side note, their support is always glad to navigate me through the mysteries of their software as well, which I consider a major plus. Not all good support staff are also good teachers, and Tools4Ever is exceptional!

Pros

We utilize IAM to manage the onboarding process for our staff and students at the Auburn School District. By nature, we don't fit the typical patterns of a business because of the yearly schedule where we have massive turnovers in staff and students. Here, IAM shines because it can be tooled to meet those very unique demands. What's even better, is that since IAM is used in other very different workplaces, the system gets new features on a regular basis.

Cons

IAM evolves pretty quick. This is a good thing, but it does mean that bespoke custom solutions can become deprecated over time. We've never had an update break anything, but Tools4Ever staff have had to intervene on several occasions to bring IAM's procedures up to date. What you might end up getting a piece of software taped together with custom scripts that gets more complicated to navigate as time goes on. To Tools4ever's credit, I've never had anything less than a stellar experience working with their support team, and they take initiative to fix things that are inefficient or ugly when they see it.

### "Tools4Ever/UMRA"

We keep our Active Directory current and manage users as they move, come and go from our Organization. Software is often priced in Education by FTE and it is vital that we don't hang on to accounts that are no longer needed. This is also true for IT audits and PCI compliance. If a new employee comes onbard on a weekend (like faculty) they are already provisioned and can do their work without seeking help from IT. The support service is the BEST I have ever experienced.

Pros

This software allows us to maintain control over user/account provisioning and de-provisioning and saves us hours of time entering information manually (and inconsistently). It gives us the opportunity to automatically provision accounts with all the security and permissions a users needs to do his/her job from the day they step foot in the office. It also helps us with easy student account provisioning, so that they can connect immediately with other students and faculty as soon as they register for classes.

Cons

There is nothing that I dislike about this software

Reason for choosing UMRA

The sales crew were very articulate and the product provided more value

the software gives us great control over our indenty access

Pros

to be in control of identity access the visual way of managing our governance of the identitys the extensive possibilities of creating filters in the Access governance model The openess of the system back-end the implementation went very smooth and with great support from the consultant.

Cons

the administration tool is not Multi-user. because we are using the bounderies of the system, our proposals for functional improvements are not interesting enough to be implemented. The errorlog is mostly displayed in program-code, and difficult to interpret without help from the developer.

### "IAM"

IAM has cut my work load down by automating the student create process. I also can now change the returning students account expires date without having to touch each account.

Pros

IAM has save me from manually creating over 300 students accounts during the fall and numerous account throughout the rest of the year. This has but my work load down tremendously.

Cons

With IAM the reports are not as friendly as the ones I have with UMRA but they work.

Reason for choosing UMRA

We never considered another product because we were already using UMRA. UMRA has cut our work load in half so adding IAM was an easy decision. Also, the support team that tools4ever has makes a big difference. They are always quick to fix any issues that may arise.

### "Long time customer"

I have always been able to contact support and/or sales when needed and they don't inundate me with trying to sell me more products/services. Support is also VERY knowledgeable of their product.

Pros

We wanted a manner to allow not admin staff to modify AD accounts. Including but not limited to new accounts, password changes, disable accounts etc. The end user needed to have the ability to just open an app and enter data; we found UMRA and replaced all our internal scripts that we use to use.

Cons

I wish more templates were available or maybe an online repository we can upload functions and/or forms. (I haven't looked recently so maybe this is a thing now).

Pros

I love the automation this product provides. If we have been able to imagine it Tools4Ever has been able to do it. I can't begin to tell you how much we have saved in people resources to maintain our environment. We have tied this into our HR system and fully automated on-boarding and off-boarding employees. Life would be difficult without UMRA.

Cons

This product requires alot of scripting and knowledge of many different platforms for it's automation. It's not a product to just purchase and bring up on your own. You will depend on Tools4Ever for any future modifications and changes.

IAM helps us to control the authentication and authorisation in our application landscape.

Pros

We use IAM to auto provision users in our active directory from our HR system. That means that there is less work for the system administrators and there is less change of faults. We also use IAM to set rights in a range off applications we use. Especialy the function off boarding is usefull because we now know for sure that a user account is disabled when a user leaves the company.

Cons

Some functions are a little complex to configure. Use of a consultant is needed.

Pros

IAM has taken alot of work out of our hands: until now we have always had to create, change and close user accounts manually which gives room for error. None of this is the case with IAM, it is all done automatically which saves us in the IT department a lot of time but also in other parts of our organization. Besides this it offers us peace of mind that accounts only have access to what is needed and the accounts are closed when personnel leaves our organization, increasing security and reducing our licensing costs. We are also very happy with the support when it is needed.

Cons

The software takes some time getting used to and it takes quite a bit of time to create the access governance-model, but you have to keep in mind all this time will be gained back once it's finished and everything is being processed automatically.

The experience has been wonderful, in that we've had great success with the account provisioning service and this freeing us up to do other important tasks.

Pros

IAM has saved us so much time with account provision, whether one new student or hundreds. What we used to have to do by hand is now automated with the software and we let it handle all the day-to-day work. We love this!

Cons

Nothing. The program performs as described to us.

Reason for choosing UMRA

Another school district in our area were users of Tools4ever/IAM and highly recommended it to us.

Pros

Cons

Not the most user friendly software to edit and make changes to but support is top-notch and will help with any changes you want to make.

Working with Tools4Ever has been great!

Pros

We needed a solution to replace our self created scripts for account management. This has so far met our needs. Any changes required as we go along are a request away.

Cons

The backend can get a little confusing, if you are not used to SQL and scripting, but that is why you have the Tools4ever team and support.
