April 17, 2026 5.0 We have been working with Magestore for over a year now on our Magento site and have found their approach to be flexible and professional. It's always a big move moving to a POS system but I would highly recommend these guys if you need to implement a POS system which integrates into your Magento Store. Remember this is a long term business relationship, not just another extension you buy and forget. Pros Great understanding of Magento and communication is good even allowing for the time differance as they are not UK based (as we are). Programmers are quick to respond to requirements via their support team and technical support is second to none! The POS software itself is impressive and intuitive. They understand that not every customer needs the same thing and will customize to suit your particular requirements. Cons The cultural differance in terminology can be difficult and requirements should be made clear from the start of your enquiry, but their english is extremely good. You just need to precisely layout what you want and do not presume anything. If you don't ask, you won't get, interpretation is literal. Use images with notes and make your requirements clear. They use Slack which I am personally not a fan of and still struggle with but it does the job. Also make sure you have a full understanding of your own site and requirements/settings it needs before installation if you are not already managing stock through Magento. Any issues we've had are when upgrading Magento or the server environment and have always been quickly resolved. Pros We have used Magestore as the POS system for our store for the last five years. As the developer managing day to day running of the Magento site I am grateful for the helpful support of the Magestore team if needed when carrying out Magento upgrades, or if issues occur. I have always found them very responsive when needed (which is not often) and willing to carry out patches and customizations when required. Our store staff have always found the frontend easy to use in a busy store 7 days a week. Cons I am in a different time zone to the support team, which occasionally causes some short delay in response. But the team are always quick to acknowledge any query, and often respond outside of normal office hours. Spoke to sasles agent \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], she disappered with no alternate contact, and reappeared later saying she was sick. So we decided to test the POS solution using the free plugin and it didn't work. Just loops the login page. Total waste of time. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] then tried to make some money off our frustration by asking us to pay for support to fix their application which doesn't work as designed. Would not recommend wasting your time with this company. it's clear they cannot fully deliver. They can't even deliver the basics they say are already in production nor can they afford to maintain it so it stays in production. Just a total waste of time with dishonest people. Pros I couldn't tell you because the free trial plugin doesn't work . Cons Software installs but doesn't work. Stays in a loop in which no staff member added can sign in. Infact they are just asked to login over and over. This is the "free" plugin and when you ask for support they will try to get you to buy support. Makes no sense unless fraud. Cons Magento is a beast that takes patience, determination and a lot of work to tame. Every Magento instance becomes unique and different from each other which sometimes has to be debugged. Extensions can cause conflicts with each other, it's just Magento's nature. I can't stress the importance of understanding this point. It's not a con on magestore but an important thing to consider. As we use a Magento 2 backend we needed an easy integration POS for our brick and mortar store and for the most part this is the be all and end all. Cons Their customer service. They don't actually have customer service it's more like a representative who will answer you occassionally and will get to your problem sometime in the next six months if you are lucky. They don't understand the words URGENT or RUSH. They are disorganized and don't speak English very well. Once we understood the product, we could better communicate to Magestore about our issues. Magestore recently started hosting our server and the cost was 1/3 of what we paid before, and the speed was double. Magestore created a very good POS for us, we had some glitches in the beginning, but they were able to resolve the issues for us. We have been using Magestore for about 3 years now, and we had many struggles with Magento. I would say 3 years in we have a very good website and POS that I am very proud of that works exceptionally well. But it was not without hard work from our side as well as Magestore. If you a running Magento then this is definitely the best POS. It integrates directly with Magento since it is in fact a Magento plugin. The support team is wonderful to work with and very supportive. We were able to get help in setting up our system, importing large numbers of products, and live support for our store opening. The team really goes above and beyond in making sure you are happy with the software. There is real sense of investment on their part and they will stick with you through whatever problems may arise. Cons What can be improved: as a beginner, I would have appreciated more help configuring printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers (ready-to-use solution), barcode impressions (hard to configure), gift card (our salesperson need to go to the backend of Magento to find the gift code when a customer buy one, translation for gift cards on the website were missing, gift card impression should be on a standard format page so customer can easily print it), customize delivery method require to customise development to be implemented, no gift receipt.
