### "Amazing tool"

April 26, 2019

5.0

Totally recommend it for developers.

Pros

The way you are tracking the bugs in an easy and interactive way. Very rich in usability for developers and the way you can import the data from other systems as well. Customizable in regard to dashboards and nonetheless the presence of the mobile app which increases portability a lot.

Cons

In some cases it may need heavy customization in order to be simple enough for non-technical people.

### "Best Project Planning software out there."

November 24, 2018

4.0

I've been using JIRA for about 4 months. It makes my life easy as it tracks the progress of the User story I'm working on. But once I had bit unfortunate incident where I created a sub-task incorrectly, so that I wanted to delete it. But I couldn't as that feature was lacking. So, despite some features are lacking JIRA is a pretty good project management tool for developers

Pros

JIRA helps us to plan and manage our sprint work easily. As it tracks progress of each user stories it's very helpful for the team to have an idea about the sprint progress. This helps the team for next sprint planning sessions.

Cons

Sometime it's bit frustrating as it lacks some major features. As an example if we create sub-task on a particular User story, it can't be deleted. It can only be renamed. This is one major feature which is lacking.

### "Jira pros/cons"

April 7, 2020

4.0

Before Jira we used to send our business requirement via e-mail to our IT developers. Due to the overload and high demand from users it was not possible to keep track and to follow the status of the requirements. Jira offered the possibility to schedule the time when the request will be accomplished and meanwhile you could check on the status up-date . Also by the key-words you could search all the open requirements from other departments before sending the request, in this way if the request was already addressed from another department you don't have to open a ticked.

Pros

It is well organised with the approval level and the time schedule .Also you can specify the importance of the requirements and follow up the status of the job done and you can make changes and up-dates in the same request .

Cons

Well so far I am satisfied with the software.

### "An ultimate Time management tool"

February 7, 2017

4.0

Jira is the most sought after utility which makes the day to day activities easy to perform with high efficiency. We use this tool to manage the documents, keep track of the project timelines, monitoring who is doing what. It is the excellent time management tool to make the developer and QA life easy.

Pros

Tracking of any activity

### "Surprised at how difficult it is to use"

October 14, 2020

4.0

I use JIRA to help manage a group of outsourced developers in Nepal. We track the development of our in-house software using JIRA and we plan and execute sprints on a bi-weekly schedule.

Pros

It has a clean interface and is fairly simple UI for managing tickets for developers. I like the ability to rank items by importance and the ease of updating comments and descriptions within the ticket.

Cons

I feel that it is difficult to navigate through different sprints. I find that tickets are easily lost when you update the status of tickets. I think it’s hard to use the text editing in the description and comments.

### "Gets the job done"

August 12, 2019

4.0

Pros

Good balance between power, flexibility, and usability. Although Jira is far from easy to use, the complexity comes from the massive breadth of functionality that is provided. The flexibility allows Jira to support your team's natural work flow, allowing decent collaboration between all parts of the team (e.g., devs, managers, designers, QA, and sales and marketing).

Cons

The downside of Jira's flexibility is the complexity if the interface. The learning curve is not very intuitive.

### "Great overall, but slow support response"

July 12, 2018

4.0

Easy way to connect testers with developers for seamless communication

Pros

We use JIRA as a way to communicate with beta testers and it provides an easy way to essentially track feedback and pass it on for implementation.

Cons

Support is slow. I've waited a long period of time for responses to tickets. It makes for worrisome times as you want a fast response to resolve the issue.

Overall I found JIRA to be a versatile tool for managing your projects (sprints) in an orderly fashion.

Pros

Responsive and simple UI which helps me add stories, tasks to my Sprint Planning and track the progress easily.

Cons

Notjing that comes to mind which I instantly disliked.

### "Jira for the Average User is difficult at first but gets the job done"

April 1, 2022

5.0

Jira is important for the business but I'm not a regular user. It gets the job done but I'm very unfamiliar with it

Pros

I like how you can collaborate cross-functionally with Jira and keep stages up to date

Cons

This is difficult for first time users to understand where to go to submit a ticket, how to do so, and which fields to use

### "You need to JIRA you team "

October 23, 2018

As a web developer in a E-Business solutions Company , we use JIRA daily to manage our projetcs as a team.

Pros

JIRA is too helpful when dealing with a team, it accelerates the workflow and gives a better vision of the project.

Cons

Sometimes JIRA UI is too hard to understand, specially when searching for a feature that you know that exists but you can't find.

### "JIRA Has Made Our Team More Effective"

July 8, 2020

5.0

Our team moved from color-coded spreadsheets to JIRA, and it greatly improved the efficiency of our project management. Our ability to track and monitor on-going projects has made all the difference in successful planning.

Pros

I love the easy to use, color-based interface and truly collaborative capabilities of JIRA. The user experience is simple and intuitive.

Cons

Some of the admin features are a bit complicated and requires more of a learning curve that expected.

### "Jira Review"

July 16, 2015

We've been using JIRA for our company instead of Basecamp for a while now and I don't find it very user friendly. Our developers seem to love it and think it's great, but if you're not a developer I find it clunky.

### "Not bad but not the best CRM on the market"

January 16, 2019

3.0

Overall it was an easy tool to use however eventually in our case this and the difficulty our developers had with the back end was the end of it for us.

Pros

We really enjoyed the formatting of Jira. It felt like it had a way easier usability than some other more popular CRM's. It didn't feel too overcomplicated and that made it efficient as a tool.

Cons

Due to its relative simplicity in features and usability it did leave us lacking certain things we required. Our developers had an awful time dealing with the back end of the system as well.

### "Growing pains, lack of sso for cloud version"

August 27, 2015

4.0

I would really love to give JIRA (and other Atlassian products) 5 starts, but over the years I have experienced some major growing pains. In version 4 they majorly changed the UI in a way that almost rendered it unusable. Luckily they corrected this in later versions. It's been a while since I've looked at the underlying codebase, but it was based on some really ancient java frameworks. I'm guessing by this point, most of that code has been rewritten (or at least I hope so). Running the on-prem version will require someone with sys admin knowledge, and java knowledge will be helpful as well. Running the cloud version is much easier, but if you're looking to service a user base larger than 25 people, you will be shocked to learn that the cloud version does not support typical SSO technologies. I set-up the Service Desk plugin only to learn that it's completely useless for my organization. Atlassian doesn't seem the least bit concerned and directed me toward the on-prem version. Aside from these complains, JIRA really is one of the best tools out there and it could be much greater if Atlassian would address these issues.

### "An industry standard for a reason"

February 12, 2020

4.0

I use JIRA to track bugs at work. I will say that I have used other similar products for the same purpose and I can see why JIRA is an industry standard. It's not widely used because it's popular, it's popular because it's widely used and that is simply because it works. Keeping track of bugs, projects, developers, testers, workflow, all of it has never been easier.

Pros

The amount of features is incredible. The things you can do with JIRA are nothing short of amazing.

Cons

Having so many features can lead to the product being overwhelming and as such can have a steep learning curve.

### "Good project management software"

June 15, 2021

3.0

We use this for our marketing team and developers, and has been great to keep track of everything.

Pros

I like how easy Jira is to use, and compared ot other options seems fairly affordable. Would recommend to a friend.

Cons

There is nothing that I dislike about Jira - it's much better than the 2 or three other options that I used.

April 11, 2020

Very good application for bug tracking and widely used product

Pros

It’s easy to use and developers or testers can use this to track the defects. Easy to collect matrix data for defects for tracking.
