We are a full service mechanical contractor in the central Missouri area that has been in business since 1926. We have been using the Maxwell Estimation System for close to 10 years. The software is easy to use and cuts our takeoff time in half. It also allows us to have a detailed labor and material list for project management and material orders. Our account manager, Mary Heinz, is also very informative and is ready to help at all times. I highly recommend this system.

We are a mid level plumbing company in the St. Louis, Missouri area. We have been using maxwell estimation system for approximately 10 years. The training we received was very well explained and the continued tech support is very prompt and user friendly. Our account rep Mary Heinz keeps us up to date and informed with the new technology and updates. I would recommend this product to our competitors or anyone looking to use a digital take off system.

Pros

The program is fairly easy to use and provides the information I need. I have had good response from Maxwell (now Viewpoint) whenever I needed support.

Cons

The Earthwork module does not work easily with CAD files, and some of the automatic features for image files such as the go function do not work properly because they require pristine digital files.

I have had Maxwell Systems Estimation since 1994 and am currently using version 9.4. I primarily use it for our comercial HVAC division. I am very happy with the customer support program we have. If I have a question or problem on a bid on "bid day", the support staff will answer or fix the problem almost immediately. I have had other estimating software companies try to change our system, but I am very happy with Maxwell and its support staff.

I have been using plumbing and HVAC since the days of being DOS based. The system has made great strides in use friendly and versatility since then. The fact that you can update quantities and unit pricing from summary is very helpful. I have had and still do have very good and speedy support for the few problems incurred with this software. There is a very great variety of new and older products to select from both in plumbing and HVAC software.

We are a mechanical contractor based in NJ. Presently we are using mechanical estimation version 9.4. We started using estimation software since the mid 90's. We found it convenient to do the take off using this program. This is the first estimating program we used, and because it is easy to use, there is no plan of changing it in the future. I have no complaints regarding the customer support. They are knowledgeable and friendly.

Great product, works wonderfully, saves time with the estimation process. It has great features other than just the estimation…. digital takeoffs, summary sheets, material quote requests. The help desk and tech support are awesome also. They have a customer zone web page where you can track help issues and get the latest updates. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to speed up their estimation times.

Estimation has always kept up with times and the technology available to help us grow from a $500K/year company to our current volume of nearly $15m. I have been using Maxwell Systems for about 4 years now. The benefits of this system are endless. The biggest benefit I believe is the time it saves on estimation and on projects. The digital takeoff software is simply the most efficient and easily the best investment I have made on software. The customer support is also a plus. We have been using the "estimation" (Maxwell Systems) software for sometime. The user friendly take-off and up -dates that are sent out frequently make this system hard to beat. Mary Heinz keeps us posted on up-dates and discounts that are available for the system. Even if you are a single user office, this system makes your work a lot easier.

### "pretty good software for earthwork take-offs"

Pros

Runs reports and 3d views extremely fast, the align to image feature is probably the best in the industry that i have seen you can take off contours as fast as you can make the mouse move, also the cut and paste anything into 1 layer from another

Cons

the mouse controls need to be re-worked to be more like auto cad mouse movements the mouse is very frustrating with this software
