I love being in control of every detail and goldie gives me just that. Meanwhile other apps and sites give you half the features and customizablilty with the same price. Overall out all literally every booking app i've had, goldie has some features missing that would make it the best app ever, but it's definetly #1. Pros I really enjoy goldie, there's not too much of a learning curve when you start setting everything up. I've never had any issues with security and they've always made sure payments securely reach my banks, ect. Plus the features you get compared to other apps are amazing, it's greater value for money. Even if you don't use online booking, which makes schedule changes so much easier, there's the scheduling and appointment management. I've never had any bugs or any other issues when using the app, and my clients love using it to manage their appointments. Cons I don't like the pricing amount, the value is great but every little thing is behind a paywall, and they don't have a built in quoting system so you still have to do a lot manually. You can't even change the way your website looks from the base layout without having their top tier plan. It makes scheduling so easy by automatically selecting the service my clients always have when rebooking, the schedule itself has so many different ways to read it and so that always looks nice and with all the different colours too it’s so easy! Payments have never been easier with all the different types of payments, it captures details and lets me do deposits too. The value for money is better than any other, I’ve tried 6 different companies. And I’ve never had any issues. Overall in the past 6 mo I’ve been using Goldie, I’ve had no Bugs and Issues. There’s only a slight learning curve but after a day you get the hang of it! The booking sites are beautiful, if I need help I am contacted the same day by a real person, the AI chat bot for general help is very helpful and understands everything I ask of it. The ease of booking for clients is fantastic and I love that I can block extra time between appointments. Although I don't use the feature for dynamic pricing, I do think it's a necessity for a lot of people who work late or weekends. I really wish they would allow a way for us to create specific coupon codes though. I would love to be able to set up a code for just people in the office building or family and friends so they can apply it right at checkout. It would also be nice if I could link my Goldie and Google reviews together somehow. A FAQ section would be a really nice touch, as well. But other than that, it's nearly perfect. Pros Goldie has a very intuitive format. The ease of use for both clients and myself has been invaluable because I don't have time to worry about the app not working or walking clients through the process. Cons Can't create coupon codes. I should be able to make a "FAMILY50" code that just my family can use to get half price massages. The reminders keep me aware of whats coming up and makes my clients feel like they are getting personal treatment when they receive reminders from me. Pros I love this software because it keeps me on track. I am a 1 oerson operation, so I have to do it all. Having Goldie is like having an administrative assistant who never has to take a break, has personal issues that keeps them from being able to perform, but can be completely relied upon to maintain my schedule, client communications and reminders, marketing and payments. I can even use it to keep track of my personal schedule and put reminders in to pay bills, remember birthdays, etc. I have stopped using every other calendar and reminder app I have on my phone. Cons I have not found anything that causes me to say, "I love Goldie, except..." The app is super easy to use on my desktop, iPad and phone. I think it’s so affordable and worth the pennies for what you get I wish it was shared more, compared to other systems it gives you the professional look of your own website that you can uniquely customise, all of my clients have give amazing feedback even those older ladies who aren’t on socials and devices the same as the younger demographic! Pros I love how clear things are from a provider and customer standpoint. This was a really big worry of mine as I’m dyslexic so I need things very visual and clear and Goldie is exactly that! However, I only lasted about eight months there before realizing how much I missed the simplicity and user-friendly design of HeyGoldi. In the end, I chose to return, mainly because of how effortless and intuitive the system is compared to others. Pros I’ve been using the HeyGoldi app and what I like most about it is its interface — it’s clean, intuitive, and very easy to use. Cons One great additional feature that I believe is currently missing would be the ability to share a calendar with another practitioner. This would allow another practitioner to carry out treatments during time slots when I don’t have any clients booked, making even better use of available time overall. It doesn’t send as a url for them to click on, it’s just in regular text. I would like a feature for my prices to rise from a certain date. I really like the website and the added features like forms, social media posts, and follow up texts. So far I think I'm really going to like it. Cons I had an issue setting up my Stripe connection and customer service was limited during the holidays so that part took longer than it should have to resolve. Sometimes it's difficult to find the exact answer I'm looking for. I also had an issue setting up my business hours. I was able to figure out I could do it in the app and it would save, versus doing it on the browser where it wouldn't save. All in all these were mostly minor inconveniences. " April 21, 2026 4.0 I have had an excellent overall experience with Goldie. I have recommended it to a few other cosmetologist and barbers. One day a client wasn't able to book an appointment for some reason. The time slot was available but they weren't allowed to select it. The client reached out to me and I personally but it on my schedule. Pros I love how I can send out a link to clients so they can see when I'm available. No more back and forth. I really like the confirmation and reminders of appointments. It is nice that you can set it up to book appointments by other appointments. That way to don't have hours of down time when you first start out. Cons The only thing that I can say I dislike at this point is the price. Don't get me wrong it saves you time and everything is in one spot. Could there be an option like pro but for new business owners? For example, if you have under 50 clients pro is less expensive. I think I use most of the services available but I don't use it all that often since I don't have a huge clientele. The switch from Fresha was so smooth, and the Goldie team have been amazing — they reply so quickly whenever I need help. I feel so much more organised now, and it’s taken so much stress and pressure off my business. As a mum with young children, this has given me more time with them too! I love how it prompts me to take deposits and reminds me about appointments — it just makes everything easier. Pros What I love most about Goldie is that you can take deposits directly through the app, and if you ever need to change appointment times, you can message customers on WhatsApp right from there. Cons When you go to send out the deposit, it automatically selects text message. I’d prefer it to default to WhatsApp instead, as most of my customers use that more often. That’s just a personal preference though — I’ll ask Goldie if this can be changed. This was really important to me so I was impressed with how it was handled. I find it really good value for money and is considerably cheaper than the software I was using previously. My favourite thing is the booking page having a gallery and review area, they've really helped me stand out. Overall it's very easy to use and schedule appointments and my clients seem to have no problems. Cons The only things I wish were better is the reports available. I like to be able to break up my stats into different areas i.e how much I took on card Vs cash and how long it takes payments to come to you once received from a client. November 17, 2025 4.0 It was definitely a learning curve moving from another booking system to Goldie but I can confidently say I’m very impressed with it. Pros The built in card payments is fantastic! The switch over process was quick and easy too. The customer service is impressive, any email I’ve sent was replied too so quickly with all my questions answers and any issues fixed. Cons I would like to have an invoice available that consolidates the months payments received and card fees paid, this was available with my last booking system. I do think that finding and navigating certain things in settings can be difficult, such as changing certain work days to add holidays. By far the most enjoyable schedule program I use, with a few quirks here or there. If they streamline things just a little more, Goldie could very easily become a 10/10. Pros Very intuitive, makes booking super easy for clients. Goldie can text clients if they haven't rebooked after a month, and clients can text back if they have any questions. The UI is clean and works smooth and quick like you'd expect. The amount of features that you get for the price is comparatively way better than the competition. As a sole proprietor, goldie has everything I need to function in the default pro plan, where as most other applications try to hide a few necessities in their super premium plans, resulting in me not pursuing them. One if the main reasons I chose Goldie was their frequent update schedule, and perceived response to feedback. Cons It's missing a few features, ie not limiting the amount of products or services a client can book at once. There's a few small quirks that I wish were different such as, asking a client to respond YES if they want reminders rather than asking them to say STOP, some clients don't read or respond to the first text and don't get reminders. Another quirk: Booking an appointment as the provider doesn't show you what conflicts you may have per service time, rather you need to check the calendar prior. It'd be much more intuitive to have timeslots to choose from in addition to the current clock format. My final small quirk is the inability to hide the payment button when online payments are unavailable. I have them disabled due to my biggest issue, which I elaborate on below. My last, but biggest, compromise with Goldie is the inability to save cards on file WITHOUT a client account. A majority of my clients dislike accounts, but want to pay by card on file. I have not been able to switch off of my previous POS due to this. And as such, I can't take early payments through goldie, as I choose to not split my income into two different POS systems. It has helped me a lot I just wish it would stop me from booking during non working hours. Pros It’s an all in one software that handles scheduling, taking payments, messaging, expenses tracking and more at an affordable price. Cons It allows me to schedule clients during my non working hours. This keeps messing me up and causing me to have to reach back out to my clients to reschedule their appointments. This is not a good look for a business. And I believe the Goldie app should stop me from doing this. There is no point in having non working hours if the app allows me to schedule during those times. Cons The calendar sync doesn’t always work & has resulted in me being double booked twice, but I think I may have figured that out on the backend.
