I'm not responsible for creating projects. My overall experience is that it's good enough, but even after using it for a few yearsr I have trouble filtering out the noise. Pros Workfront is more advanced than the system we had before (an Excel spreadsheet!) and it does make it possible for a department of 25 people to sort projects, keep track of updates and share proofs. This is especially useful now that we're working remotely. The calendar view is handy and I like being able to upload proofs directly to the project so the relevant people can keep track of them. Cons There's so much noise. Tabs we never use, duplicated information, several fields containing unimportant information. It takes a while to sift through to find the meaty information, which is usually under Custom Forms of all places. It's not intuitive. Review Source EM Erica M. We manage client-facing as well as internal projects using it. We also submit new projects through it and report hours on a monthly basis. Pros Workfront has been critical to our projects moving forward. It's customizable for both large-scale projects and individual, quick tasks. As someone who manages projects at a high level, Workfront allows me to see where the project is in development, who is responsible and if there are any problems that need to be addressed. In a client-facing role, I can quickly see if a project is on track for the agreed-upon timeline. The ability to tag internal task owners with questions and notifications is also critical. There are also key functionalities that allow for projects to be submitted and approved through the program as well, then export hours at the end when we look back on reporting on resources. Cons There is a learning curve that comes with all of the features of the program and you have to ensure your project management team is trained to use them. A very small criticism is that the Notifications button is very small so sometimes you don't notice if action is waiting on you if you're tasked with many projects within Workfront Review Source ZK Zanele K. After I started using , I had a better understanding on what was missing for me to present my best information and findings with my staff over time. Pros The features that I like the most from this software are the functionalities, automatic resources, and different ways of working on multiple projects before the due dates. Cons I am not sure if I am experiencing a lack of knowledge of how to view all projects on the dashboard, but I am able to work on multiple tasks and projects before deadlines by switching from one dashboard to another. Being able to have multiple dashboards available at once could be improved. Switched from [Jira](https://www.capterra.com/p/19319/JIRA/) I wasn't satisfied with many of the features of Jira. ProofHQ will archive the proofs, so that we can keep a record of what has been approved, when it was approved and a list of the people that approved it. Our company has been using it daily for a few years and haven't ever really had to ask customer service for help, because it's so user-friendly. Pros We use ProofHQ daily to review and approve packaging artwork. The software is easy to use and has a lot of features that make reviewing and giving feedback on artwork easy. One of the features that is most helpful for me is the ability to do a side-by-side comparison of previous proofs with the current proof. I can compare the previous comments to make sure all the requested changes were made. Cons It's hard for me to find things I dislike about the software, but one pain point for me has been the ability to find older proofs easily. Pros \-The ability to customize the software to fit within your business operations. It's not a one size fits all where you have to modify company operations to fit within like other PM software. -The reporting functionality and the ability to build custom reports -Once you learn how to use it and get to know the intricacies, textmode is AMAZING! It allows you to build very custom reports, templates, fields, calculations, etc. to meet the needs of your business. -The support team is great! Having a dedicated support contact with standing weekly 30-minute meetings has been very helpful. Additionally, the "consulting hours" come in very handy when there are items that myself or other system experts within my company can't figure out because they are able to use their knowledge and expertise to get us what we need. Cons \-We submit enhancement ideas or tickets to the product team and feel like they always just get lost in the shuffle. There are a lot of things that we could use but I guess other companies or Workfront don't see the value so our ideas are very slow to be added to their Product Roadmap or come to market. -It's not the cheapest on the market, that's for sure. -There is somewhat of a learning curve for new employees at my company trying to learn the software just because it is SO powerful. -There could be better integrations, specifically with Git. I've had folks around the office call it the Facebook of project management tools and it is to some degree. If your users can use Facebook, they'll be able to figure out how to use this system. The greater burden will always be on your plan license users (hopefully your project managers) to learn the ins and outs of what they can accomplish with the tool. It has a lot of features and can be customized greatly. Pros Lots of features and can be customized through the use of custom forms, custom intake processes and reporting tools that allow you to pull pretty much any piece of information you want to see. These reports can also be tailored to specific user groups so they see just what you want them to see or what they have specific access to see. Tasking is handled pretty easily and is aggregated for each user on their My Work page. Depending on work style and workload (# of tasks) I'd highly recommend educating folks to keep their Working On area clean and only pick up new requests as they can begin working on them. Cons The current iteration of the resourcing tools need some additional polish. The tool is currently built in flash and per discussions with some consultants there are 2 separate flash pieces that don't always talk to each other very well. We're waiting on additional upgrades the company is planning on making to see how we can best utilize these and report on the information they collect. There's a great grid report for showing availability across users and job roles but it is also built in flash so it's not customizable - it would be extremely valuable if it were something you could tailor and customize while retaining the grid view. This product is not so easy to use, largely because of its wide range of functionalities. However, this also allows you to cover more tasks, you just need to specialize more and more. Cons Setting up the software requires technical personnel with experience in its use as it has many features and can be overwhelming for someone new to the software the first time. But once configured its use becomes simpler and semi-automatic.
