Cons

It's not easy to navigate and is very confusing at times. My company upgraded to the lightening but the classic version is much easier to navigate. This one is very difficult.

Pros

You have almost unlimited options with Salesforce. Seriously, if you can think it, Salesforce can probably make it happen. It also makes it easy to consolidate tools instead of having everyone using something different.

Cons

It is a beast to get started with Salesforce! There are so many moving pieces, that if it isn't implemented perfectly, you will have issues.

As a user Salesforce is relatively easy to pick up as a beginner making it a great tool for employee/customer management.

Pros

I really liked how this software can be tailored to the needs of different businesses, such as allowing users to view stats, email campaign response rates and allows users to create specific lists for their email and phone campaigns.

Cons

If not managed correctly the system can become filled with irrelevant data, meaning it requires strict auditing throughout the company which at times can be difficult to do.

I decided to use another CRM platforms because I found Sales Force to be outdated and hard to use

Pros

Salesforce's platform is not very user-friendly. I found it tricky to navigate and would find myself wasting time just figuring out how to do what.

Cons

User experience is not great. It was not easy to navigate at all.

### "Switching from classic Salesforce to sales force lightning"

I would give it a big “Mehh..” It’s really okay, but I can get used to most new things it just feels like the extra load time makes it seem like a step back

Pros

I like that it has the capability to be super customized to the user. However this customization isn’t the easiest to put in place

Cons

Again, I was switched from Salesforce classic to Salesforce lightning, and for some reason lightning isn’t as fast as it’s name would lead you to believe. Longer load times and save time. Maybe I was just used to / happy to the old way I was using Salesforce so the change was the harder part. Truly I don’t like having to scroll - call me old fashion but I like everything to appear in almost one screen. I feel the same way about website and other apps. Basically lightning tries to give you a overview of data on different levels to help you get to what you need faster.

Pros

I love that Salesforce can seem to handle all of communication needs. It generates an endless amounts of reports and has enabled us to take our small non profit to the next level with donations, donor communication, and membership.

Cons

Salesforce is difficult to learn without a personal coach. I read a lot and watched youtube videos but I am pretty sure I am still not accessing all that it has to offer.

Probably best as a long-term solutions for already-big companies or companies that plan on growing.

Pros

It's hard to think of what Salesforce can't do. I honestly can do, or can be made to do, virtually anything you can think of to enable a sales department. I see a future where there is only Salesforce in its vertical.

Cons

Because of its robust functionality, there can be quite a learning curve for inexperienced admins. The average user, though, won't have a problem. But even as an admin, learning its bells and whistles just takes a little time and is completely worth it.

There's a saying that "nobody ever got fired for picking Salesforce" for a reason. It's an excellent, safe choice.

Pros

Salesforce is the most robust CRM in the market, a point that isn't debatable in my view. For an enterprise organization with complex needs, Salesforce is hard to beat. The sheer number of native integrations is a huge advantage over any other solution. The reporting you get with Salesforce is remarkable.

Cons

It's so robust, it can be overwhelming for those without Salesforce expertise, or a dedicated CRM manager in-house. The permissions are flat out hard. This is more of a con for a small business than a mid-sized to enterprise business with more internal resources. Expect to pay huge hourly rates for a consultant if you don't hire in-house.

Cons

After every update, the platform gets slower and it shows random issues regularly.

great way to navigate information. Account/Opportunity views are so much easier to view and edit. This was definitely a step in the right direction with the platform.

Pros

Lightning view took Salesforce to a whole other Level. It is cleaner and sharper and over all a better easier way to navigate through the platform.

Cons

At first it was really hard to use because I was not used to it. I had been using the classic view for so long that this just didn't fit the way I worked. Once I was forced to use lighting and got used to it. I don't know why I was punishing myself using the other view

Salesforce is industry gold standard as a CRM solution and our experience has been positive. It generally helps achieving the business requirements. There are many features & functionality that you may not take advantage of.

Pros

Salesforce is packed with rich features. It's got powerful customization capabilities and relatively easy for the techies to play around to implement complex workflows. It has everything (and may be more) that you'd expect from a CRM solution. A large global user community makes it easier to seek help/collaborate and certifications add further value.

Cons

It's less easier for people without decent technical skills or experience, will take time to figure things out. Depending on the budgets, this may be an expensive proposition for some.

Pros

I love the ability to store a bunch of data in cases. I primarily only use cases and reports in my line of work, but the ability to work between queues is fantastic. It works well for our company.

Cons

It's a little clunky. Sometimes fields don't function, and the ability to merge cases isn't helpful. If someone emails in several times, then cases just pile up. This might not be a Salesforce thing, but it is a thing I noticed.

Salesforce is a great platform for those who have time and resources to make it work.

Pros

Customization and a broad feature set make Salesforce a real asset for our business. We have been able to integrate many other essential products, write custom code, build workflows, customize fields and objects and do pretty much everything that we have wanted to do.

Cons

The main con of Salesforce is that, for a company with "sales" in the name, they do very little to help you with actual sales practices out of the box. They don't have great sales funnel, marketing or other templates. Of course, all of this is definitely possible, but it requires previous experience and iteration upon iteration to get it right.

### "Good Customizable Tools"

Overall experience was good, learning and writing Apex code came fairly easily as it's very Java-like, and SOQL was fairly easy to learn as well. The need for >80% of our Apex code to be covered by unit tests is also nice, as it forces the development team to write unit tests for the custom code.

Pros

Salesforce has a vast array of tools to use. Some of what my team uses is the e-mail to ticket functionality (very nice, a user can just send an e-mail and a ticket gets created), workflows, and we have a lot of custom Apex code for the workflows.

Cons

As with any large software, there's a learning curve there, and some organizations use Salesforce for only a few things, while others use most of its features. The main issues are ones that you'll encounter on any Web Application, it's just the give and take of having it be a web application versus a desktop application (less maintenance as a web app, but at times slower or more restrictions).

Honestly i loved the old platform more. The new lightning platform while simpler and more updated is honestly not as easy to use as the old one.

Pros

I like that it is broken down more simply in terms of the steps you need to complete to make sure its progressing.

Cons

It gets stuck in the lightning path allll the time. Then i have to reach out to a supervisor to manually move it out of a certain sequence. It takes time and is very frustrating.

Ability to handle the sales process, marketing, and support of complex products. We also created a knowledge base which allows agents access to the most up to date details on the products.

Pros

Ability to generate custom objects, processes, and communication across a wide range of departments makes SalesForce the ideal tool for any size company. The plus is the cloud location allowing customers and employees access around the globe.

Cons

The pricing and add on fees for certain functionality can quickly explode the budget set by your company for this solution. Be sure to think about all functions you might need and negotiate with your SalesForce contact to obtain the best pricing possible. Bundling can be powerful!
