Cons You can integrate google cloud with other project management platforms, however is somewhat tiring find the ideal, you can use google apps and services, but from someone that is used to Microsoft products and its integration, it is no ideal. Pros User friendly, effective storage and it integrates well with other tools and you get a pretty generous 15 or so gb to start with on the free trial. This is even better than dropbox I believe. It integrates well with Google sheets and docs. Offers endless tools such as web development. Easily share documents with others in your organization like Microsoft excel, word, other docs. It manages all versions and makes sure you have the most updated. Cons If you want to be able to use a certain space in this tool then you may need about equal space on your computer. Takes a bit of time to get used to the features, they do offer online tutorials. The cost is a little pricey for storage space and additional tools and support. Pros The UI and docs of google cloud platform are, in my opinion, the easiest to understand among all cloud providers. As a developer that translates in to faster go to market of product and faster debugging of any arising issues. This gives our customers a more resilient product with features reaching them sooner. Cons The bandwidth (network egress) costs are astronomical. Additionally I would love to see a "given this usage, your bill will be X". One Friday I set up a proof of concept flexible app engine environment and logged back in on Monday to see that I had blown through the free tier and was being charged for usage. Reason for choosing Google Cloud I choose them both , but Google Cloud is more user friendly. It might sound stupid , but I like the colors in their interfaces much more than AWS. They integrate with my web apps very well. Pros It provides a lot of APIs for free. My favorites are OAuth API for my web app authentication system; Perspective API for my blog and forum; and Google Drive API for automatic file backup. Besides, Cloud Shell is free, easy to use, and includes root access. Cons The verification process for the OAuth consent screen is a little confusing. I'm always encouraging friends and family to use it as it has saved me time and money. You don't need Microsoft Office when you've got the Google Suite. Pros I love Google Drive for how easy it is to use and how you can create documents, presentations and spreadsheets, etc that you can then easily be downloaded as a compatible Word document, PowerPoint presentation, excel sheet. Sharing documents with others is also super easy and so much more efficient when working on projects with others. I also use the cloud for storage of loads of photos when I ran out of space on my phone. The free package more than fulfils my needs. Cons Sometimes the formatting can be a little bit off when you download as a Word Document for example you might need to check and move a few things around but in general it’s not too bad, only minor adjustments but something to be aware of. I like how you can share documents, edit documents with others, at the same time or at different times. I also like that you can create emails for users and manage them from the admin console. And the autosave mode saves a lot of headaches! Plus, the fact that I can edit documents on my phone? Amazing! It has really become a powerful and useful buisness tool. Cons I don't like how sometimes documents take too long to load. I would also like the phone app to be a bit more user friendly and the potential to use more features available on the desktop version.
