You could easily store your files and photos in one location and have it anywhere in the world! Pros This is by far the best invention ever made after computers and internet. The cloud service could literally be used almost everywhere! I don't have to worry about my files being on a separate computer or my photos on my phone, I could literally just upload them on a folder and have them across all my devices. Cons At times it gets very difficult to choose from which software I would use in cloud management. They offer all the same service and I wish this software could give more storage since I use it almost everyday on all of my devices. Setup, backup, and data storage couldn't be simpler. You simple enable the APIs you want to use and they are immediately available. The tools are top-notch and it is significantly easier to set up private networks than any other Cloud platform. Pros The administration on this platform is very simple to use and is able to project costs more accurately than the competition. The ongoing costs are generally less than competing platforms as well. Cons I have used AWS and Azure, and in comparison, I have no criticisms for the Google Cloud Platform. I feel it is secure, reliable and less expensive. Reason for choosing Google Cloud Expense and ease of use. Good documentation. Good programming and monitoring tools. Cons The only con is the limit on storage before you have to pay if you do not buy a plan, it is incredibly small. If you need more than the free plan, there are cheaper alternatives available. These are incredibly powerful products, that (in particular, in terms of their machine learning offerings) are often best in class by a huge margin. Unsurprisingly, these products are also quite reliable. Cons Perhaps as a result of being largely internal tools that have been opened up to the public, many parts of GCP are extremely esoteric, and integrating with them will likely not conform to your expectations. As a result, expect to spend considerable time learning the Google Way of interacting with an API. Similar to other Google services, support here is also fairly underwhelming particularly when compared to other services that compete, such as Heroku. I used extensively the Machine Learning and Data Analytics services and those two work to solve your needs as a data scientist or machine learning engineer. I also liked that services have high security and are highly scalable. If you work with TensorFlow, then Google Cloud Platform might be your best choice. Cons I think one of the most difficult parts of Google Cloud Platform, is that there is a lack of elastic search, but this is only from the point of view of the developer.
