September 7, 2017 4.0 Used this to train machine learning models. Pros Google Cloud has an easy to use interface. Has most of the features that you would expect from a cloud platform. The machine learning section is one of the strongest. It is hands down better than AWS or Azure. Besides, Google Cloud is a bit cheaper than AWS too. Cons Does not have many of the lastest featurs of AWS like Lambda support for languages other than NodeJS. Also, a lot of features are in beta stage, meaning they are quite new. Pros Host servers online for various things like game servers for minecraft or host my own website. It is relatively cheap to host a static website Free tier allows you to try out GCP with no commitments Cons It can get more expensive with higher tiered services and it may not be easy to setup for most people but by following some references and documentation you can get up and running. Cons The only con with the Google cloud is you need internet connection. If it was accessable without internet it would be 10000% perfect. I can organize them to my heart's content, share what I need to, and access my shared documents all in one screen. As someone who grew up using Microsoft office, I was afraid of the learning curve that would come with switching to Google, but my fears were unfounded. All of the Google cloud programs are incredibly user-friendly, easy to learn, easy to organize, and convenient, especially for my work. Cons The only con I can think of is that you do need internet access in order to use any of Google's cloud services, so if you can't connect to the internet, then you can't access any of your documents. There are no computers in our college that can quickly handle a large amount of data. For such tasks, the product from Google fits perfectly. Cons Linux virtual machines are inferior to similar Microsoft Azure machines in power and speed of data processing.
