We are a couple of months in, and although we have a very experienced and sophisticated team in terms of data usage, we are having many challenges with the new system. Our leadership thought we needed something ore modern, but right now we'd appreciate having the functionality we had with the Donor Quest system. Pros I appreciate the depth and detail of selections and reports I can pull. Donor segmentation is excellent. Also tracking individual donor contacts and donor information is easy with plenty of detail. Cons Not always user friendly or intuitive. Understanding how to get the data you need can be challenging. It isn't as "pretty" as other CRMs. No dashboards or "at-a-glance" features for seeing donor/donation status in a quick snapshot. Learning curve was much greater than it needed to be. Pros It was reliable and easy to make changes once you were used to it. Cons The report and dashboard features are a mess. You have to manually add and remove for each individual thing you want or don't want. Training was non-existant. Pros With DonorQuest we can manage our donor list with ease at a reasonable price. It allows importing and exporting lists; and has built in reporting tool that allows us to get various reports on the donors. Cons I think the reporting capability in DonorQuest can be improved further. If it is able to draw charts will be amazing.
