April 8, 2025 5.0 Digging for data is not a fun experience for me, however, DonorPerect has made it easier than I thought it could be. With the help of many kind and knowledgeable staff members via chat or phone support, my questions are always respectfully and logically answered. Admitting you need help saves time and energy which is one of the reasons we purchased donor perfect to begin with. It is a great program and company to work with! Pros I like that all of our donor data is in one place, and we can print a report with their giving history instead of manually looking through years of lists. Cons Trying to find the report I really want can be annoying. Once I discovered the Gateway, it simplified the process. It is great to have a platform to keep all donor information in one place and which can also search all your records according to what you need. Pros I love that the customer support is always available and willing to assist. With so many ways to pull information, I sometimes struggled to find the reports with the information I needed. Support helped me to not only find this information but understand how I can find it myself. I now feel a lot more confident in my understanding of the platform. I also appreciate the forms feature as it makes fundraising simple and is user friendly, both to me creating the form and to donors using it. Cons I feel for new users there is a big learning curve to understanding how to use the platform and how to pull the right information. There is so much available to you that it can be confusing. Their support teams are great and have helped with a number of unique scenarios. We manage thousands of donors giving millions annually and our experience so far has been positive. Pros It does a great job automating the collection of new donor data through its integrated donor forms. We used to manually enter new donors in Salesforce, we now process 4 times the donations without the work. Cons I do not like that DP does not manage households, it only manages consituents or contacts. Households give. Sometimes its the husband, sometimes the wife and often both give or attend events. ReadySetAuction helps us coordinate a smooth online auction every year. Pros DonorPerfect's customer service and training are second to none. Their knowledgeable team is patient and more than happy to answer questions. They don't rush you. If they don't know the answer, they will find out and circle back to you. Cons The options for DonorPerfect's forms for online giving need continued development. We choose to use a third-party that works well with DonorPerfect until DP can provide some of the same features. October 8, 2025 5.0 My overall experience with DonorPerfect is a 10 out of 10. Because their support team is live, no AI, and their very knowledgeable, professional, and polite. Pros I love that DonorPerfect as the KnowledgeBase portal, that allows you to learn about any topic concerning the platform. Cons There are a lot of fields that most companies won't use in their daily usage of the platform. Cons I don't think phone customer service should be something you pay additionally for. We pay a lot already, if we need help I think phone support should be included. Pros Our onboarding is being customized to our organization's needs and priorities - from how our data is set up to which training modules are emphasized. Cons It's more expensive than our previous database, but it's a great upgrade that is more user-friendly, increasing collaborations, and streamlining processes. Cons Sometimes when you are working with support, it would nice if the window times out and the information that you may have received may be gone. If there would be some way of keeping the response there it would help. It is easy to use and everything is very straightforward. Knowledgebase and chat support have been extremely helpful. Looking forward to being able to do even more with future enhancements. Pros The merge feature is fantastic. Easy layout to understand. Great knowledgebase and customer support. Cons The built-in reports should be customizable, so new reports aren't needed to be created just to add one thing. Drag and drop forms need to tell you how much each form has brought in, not just a grand total. Email tributes should be generated automatically. It is user friendly, creates great reports, has the best support and is constantly improving features and integrations. Pros DonorPerfect has the best customer service and help features. Their online knowledgebase is easy to follow and offers great insight into everyday tasks within DonorPerfect. Cons I had trouble with the Constant Contact integration and managing email data. Switched from [Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT](https://www.capterra.com/p/247647/Blackbaud-Raiser-s-Edge-NXT/) We actually didn't have NXT, we had the old Raiser's Edge and wanted to upgrade, but DonorPerfect was a more affordable product. Pros Undoubtedly, what I appreciate most about DP is the Customer Service. The support team is composed of individuals with infinite knowledge and patience. Cons The gift module can be limiting for transactions which are not gifts - event registrations and product sales - but it does the job. Pros I like how easy it is to add new donors and gifts, I really like the dashboard and the ability to see your fundraising goals front and center and track the progress. Cons The reports section is not very intuitive and I still struggle sometimes to get the information out of it that I need. As well, I use QuickBooks Desktop rather than online and DonorPerfect doesn't integrate well with it.
