Pros

I love being able to import spreadsheets with gifts and contacts - it makes it very easy to add new donors and prospects, track mailing lists and add in-kind gifts and descriptions in a large batch

Cons

I get frustrated that pledges don't integrate with the dashboards and goal screens well, particularly for capital or multi-year gifts. It would be nice to have the option to show progress to goal including pledges in the nice charts to just snip and show the committee

Reason for choosing DonorPerfect

Past positive experiences with the program, ease of use and ability to set up multiple online forms for events, funds, campaigns etc. Integration with QuickBooks is very slick for payments (not pledges)

### "We Can't Function Without DonorPerfect! "

Pros

Over the past 1-2 years, we have broadened our fundraising platforms to include direct mail campaigns across the United States. Our previous donor spreadsheet was great for when we had just 50 donors, but now that we have thousands, a product like Donor Perfect was essential in keeping them all organized and ensuring they were all thanked appropriately. We love that we are able to have a donation form on our website, it has driven more donations to our organization and we have rallied more support for our cause. Integrating with Constant Contact is also fabulous and ensures that donors are continually in the loop through our email campaigns. The report options are infinite and chat support is always there to assist with anything we need help with. There are so many good things to say about Donor Perfect, we couldn't function without it!

Cons

We wish there was a way to add a "How did you hear about us?" question onto the New Donation Form builder!

The Onboarding support with Donor Perfect was excellent. The availability of webinars and blog support is wonderful. It is a bit difficult to use only chat support since phone support is not in our budget.

Pros

Donor Perfect is exactly what our organization needed. It offers all of the integrations that are important to us at a price point that we can afford. I love that the screen designer function is available and simple to use so that we can tailor the system to our needs.

Cons

Only having chat support since our budget does not support phone support. I am also not totally sold on the new drag-and-drop forms. Love the look and the ease but it lost some functionality that I really need.

DonorPerfect is a very practical and easy to use CRM for nonprofits. It syncs up well with our accounting software. It is very simple to learn and get familiar with.

Pros

I love the integration between DP and Quickbooks. I can record donations so seamlessly and my workload is drastically reduced. It’s easy to spot errors in the CRM and correct them without creating a mess on our books.

Cons

There could be more robust reporting features. We rely on good data to drive decision making so we would like more intuitive reports.

### "Support is Donor Perfect's Hidden Gem"

Its been terrific to have all our constituents' contact information in one place, no matter how they became connected with AutismUp. I used to spend days collecting info from various people and files in order to build a mailing list. Now it takes less than 10 minutes to export a mailing list. And its already de-duped because I've used the Duplication Removal feature in Donor Perfect. Having the ability to find (report on) lapsed donors, compare fundraising results from year to year for annual events, and create flags and fields to make any kind of grouping we want is critical, but very difficult and error prone with excel spreadsheets - they way we used to do it. Donor Perfect makes it easy!

Pros

Tech Support is fantastic! Always friendly, helpful, knowledgable. They encourage you to call with any questions, not just problems. The training videos, knowledgebase articles and online community are great for learning, but when you need an answer fast, or can't find the right search term for the knowledgebase, Support will help you learn how to accomplish what you want to do. You can reach them via phone, chat, or email.

Cons

We would love to be able to use DonorPerfect for tasks beyond donor management - for all of our program and event registrations and payments, but need more flexibility in online forms to make that practical.

The BEST thing about DonorPerfect is their Customer Service Team!! No matter what happens, they are there to guide me and provide amazing support. They are easily accessible, pleasant and knowledgeable!

Pros

DonorPerfect is user-friendly and Customer Support is readily available to assist with any questions. The Knowledgebase has been helpful when questions arise.

Cons

I had been a user of a different system for many years, but I found that DonorPerfect was easy to learn. The one difficulty that I had was creating reports. I was used to selecting various selection criteria in one report and had to learn about compound reports and combining them.

### "Helping a new DP client Get Up & Running"

Our donations, 96% of which came in by check, were falling off. We needed modern, comprehensive ways of soliciting support. DP's options for giving avenues will generate a healthy turnaround in our donation fortunes.

Pros

The help from my Onboarding Manager and the Support Team have been the most valuable components for me as a new client setting things in motion to start getting and handling donations in modern, efficient ways. The log of my contacts with the Support Team shows that I reached out to them 16 times, as I was getting started, and I can attest that they gave me the help I needed on all 16 occasions.

Cons

At first, the many emails I received from DP tended to feel somewhat overwhelming, but as I went along, I found them helpful.

Reason for choosing DonorPerfect

All of my questions and concerns were addressed satisfactorily, so I was comfortable moving ahead with DP.

They are the easiest to get ahold of of any CRM I have used in the past. They are the best at getting back to you quickly off they are unavailable. They are masters at helping solve every issue have had, with exception to the donation page.

Pros

I love how we can keep track of donors and stay in touch with them through the use of the receipting process.

Cons

The new Beta Donation page is very archaic. It is not user friendly for us as a non-profit and somewhat confusing for a donor.

The overall experience is excellent and DPO has served us well. They are constantly innovating and improving their product.

Pros

It is generally easy to use, and if any staff member has a problem, support is readily available to help walk them through any issue. Response times are fast and the process is efficient.

Cons

Update in social media integration and in the ease of use (intuitive) to gather reports could be improved. It is not a huge drawback and with the constant feedback that donor perfect is open too I am sure it is on the way.

Pros

The customer service is the best I've ever seen in any industry. They are patient, helpful and kind. It does take some time getting used to some of the features and the staff is super helpful.

Cons

I don't always find the reports easy to find and navigate. For me, the process is not intuitive. However, the customer service folks are always on hand to help.

Poor and frustrating.

Pros

Price point is the biggest pro, but I'm not sure it off-sets the frustrations.

Cons

With beta forms as well as standing features in DonorPerfect, there seems to be too little flexibility in exporting data in a way that is usable \[I was recently told that not all data input could be exported into a single report = use multiples!\] and which doesn't require end-runs to fix technology glitches. I've had over 15 hours of chat support in my first 3 months on the job, typically around the subject of: "Shouldn't the database be able to do this?" or "Why is this result not as expected/glitchy?"Several times I've been told to submit user feedback in what seems like a bit of a dead-letter suggestion box when looking at past submissions. \[Submissions seem to only move forward based on user votes, and some great suggestions don't have enough votes put on them because there are SO MANY basic fixes included in the box string.\] When connected with product development, I've had one concern go unanswered for over a month now.

I would not even think of looking at another software program. I think DP always seem to be on the edge of what is needed in the non-profit world, how to stay in touch with donors, ideas to keep you up to date.

Pros

I love the personal training I do every month with \[sensitive content hidden\] She is the best!

Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the process of doing things, especially the filter section.

I've been able to report more easily. I've also been able to get reports that I actually need in a timely fashion. This is because Donor Perfect is so much easier to use and the data is so much easier to handle. This is also at a fantastic price. I feel like this is so much better than the previous database that I was using.

Pros

The ease of use with Donor Perfect is amazing. I like being able to enter data so easily and to manipulate the data just as easily. I think this is just about as easy as it can get for a user.

Cons

The only feature I would improve is if I could get it to auto generate more rapidly, but really I feel like it is probably the speed of my internet provider, not DP.

Fantastic. The system is working great, and the support from Donor Perfect is unparalleled - particularly our account support \[sensitive content hidden\] . She is the best.

Pros

Donor Perfect is our daily driver for all fundraising, donation collecting, receipting, and processing for our large organization. We find it to be easy to use, as well as having integrated through an online knowledgebase, live chat, phone and scheduled support. The reporting makes reporting and accounting tasks simple and straight forward.

Cons

Donor Perfect, like all new systems, has a bit of a learning curve. It took a few rounds of training to become experts. However, taking advantage of the online resources and free training makes a world of difference in usability.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at DonorPerfect. Everyone I have interacted with has been helpful and professional.

Pros

The training and customer service I have received at DonorPerfect have been invaluable. The program more than pays for itself by making it easy to create and track fundraising campaigns and donations. There are no long-term contracts to sign.

Cons

The forms tool is still being improved, and text messaging is not included at my subscription level.

### "Recently Left DP and Having Regrets!"

There is a lot to like about Donor Perfect. With customization, you can do anything and everything fundraising-related with their platform. For larger teams and organizations that bring in hundreds or thousands of donors, it would be helpful to have both a database administrator and a data entry clerk/specialist in order to keep data clean and use the platform to its full potential.

Pros

Donor Perfect is probably the best option for the cost. It has great features and fantastic custom reporting options, top of the line integrations, and they are continually rolling out improvements. Their customer support is also very helpful and accessible if you have the upgraded support package. Now that we've left the platform, we also realize how beneficial their system of organization is, with the capacity to harbor different reports, queries, and filters in folders for different users and/or use cases.

Cons

For very basic operations, it is easy to learn Donor Perfect. For more complex operations, it can be confusing and hard to adopt. We did not find the platform to be intuitive for new team members, and the user interface is clunky and outdated. We also did not like the payment processor nor the reporting options that it offered.

DonorPerfect is easy to use and should you run into a problem, the customer support is fantastic.

Cons

DonorPerfect could do a better job with their online forms. A little more modern look and a little more customization would go a long way.

Pros

The best part of using Donor Perfect, by far, is their incredible customer support team. Not only are there multiple, fast options for seeking answers, the team is incredibly affable and thorough in their response. We are an incredibly small nonprofit, so when I get stumped at work it is vital to have someone to help me problem solve in an enjoyable and timely manner. Not only do I get the answers I need, the phone conversations and chats are enjoyable - it's like you're speaking to a very well-informed colleague.

Cons

I find the usability tricky, but understand why things are set up this way. DP makes up for this by having an incredible customer support team.

DonorPerfect offers everything we need in a CRM database. The phone app, while not offering everything you get from the full site, is more than sufficient for plugging in to get information on the go.

Pros

Donor Perfect is very user-friendly. The Quickbooks integration is vital. Constant Contact integration is a feature we never knew we needed.

Cons

There are some limitations in reporting that can usually be worked around in some way, but can feel like you're coding more than running reports. That area is less user-friendly for our older employees.

We had Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge, with an annual Blackbaud bill in the high tens of thousands. Switching was initially a way to save money, but after converting to DonorPerfect and Quickbooks it's clear that they are both superior softwares for our use. As a mid-size nonprofit, RE and FE now feel like they are more conducive to very large organizations. We just weren't using that much of the software. RE felt dated in its interface and cumbersome to learn/manage. DonorPerfect training was straightforward and the software offers everything we need to manage our database successfully.

Pros

There are a lot of options for how to use Donor Perfect, with a lot of features. The basics in DP are very simple to use. There are tutorials that walk you through how to do most things which is helpful.

Cons

The reporting is not the best; it really needs more features. There are aspects of batching that desperately need improvement. Receipts can be a nightmare depending on how your organization does them.

Pros

It's relatively easy to learn, and the webinars and trainings on the product are great! It's wonderful to have online donation forms that feed right into the database to track, manage, and create thank you letters. Pulling reports is so useful for fundraising purposes, and there are many options for building those reports.

Cons

The online forms aren't completely customizable as much as we'd like, and some features are not as intuitive to learn.

Overall, we like the system and it's ease of use. Our experience with managers has been somewhat difficult while our experience with day-to-day support has been excellent.

My experience is great! I have some history with acquiring Donor Perfect when i worked at Darling Home for kids, i managed and customized the software when i worked at Prosper Canada and now i administrate and use the software at Heart House Hospice.

Pros

What i love about Donor Perfect the most is their customer service. It's fast and friendly!

Cons

There could be some improvements on functionality. For example It is not very effective for prospect pipeline reporting. You can only have one proposal with an organization at a time. Among a few other things that could be improved on., this is just one example.
