Specifically, we recently used their Ready Set Auction app for our fundraising event, and it was a great success! The app streamlined the entire auction process, from managing items and bids to handling checkout. It saved us a significant amount of time and effort, and helped us raise more funds. May 4, 2026 4.0 It looks at donors differently, and that was a bit of a learning curve, but it's very functional. I've found that I really have no reason to look at another system, it does what I need for less than the "cadillac" systems that are crazy expensive for almost the same functionality! Pros There are some really great processes on DonorPerfect. Donor thank you letters are an almost seamless process, either in batches or in the gift screen. The event planning piece is another that I feel like I could use even better. I think it has everything we need at a more affordable price than other data management systems! Cons I'd love a few tweaks, for instance the ability to date limit people's attributes (flags) and export some reports that don't currently export - having to hand type my events report was disappointing. I generally don't have any issues with the product or system, and the support is often very helpful when needed. Pros How easy it is to keep track of donations and reports. Currently I have to create a lot of reports manually, so it is easy to find the information I need. Cons When downloading online forms and it keeps asking to create a new donor, when the same exact information is pulled. I never could understand why the system thinks a new donor should be created when literally every field is the written exactly the same. Also, I don't like that I have to re-sign in every 10 days. Why isn't this every 30 days like other websites? I have to use Donor Perfect every day for my non-profit, so on the 10th day when it asks me to wait for the verification email, it always makes me cringe since I have to wait multiple minutes for the email to come through. It has been an amazing tool to help me, as a new director, learn who the donors are and begin to reach out to them and build relationships. This has also been amazing for me to see who is engaged with us, and who I need to begin to work on better relationships with so that we can support them, and also gain future support from. Pros DonorPerfect is an easy way to keep track of donors. It helps to create mailing lists for e-blasts, as well as physical newsletters for future fundraising campaigns as well. Cons I am still learning how to use this platform, as I am 3 weeks into this position, however, the only issue I have with it is there is occasionally a lag with the human verification button at the log in screen (and that could be from my side). Our first database with DP utilized their installed version, and they supported us throughout the entire setup process. When we migrated to the online version, they were there every step of the way as well. Pros DonorPerfect is user-friendly and makes training new users simple. The platform is consistently upgraded and improved. The resources, knowledge base, and staff are incredibly helpful. Cons Many nonprofits receive donations on various platforms, such as PayPal. It would be beneficial if DP could implement an integration that allows nonprofits to import donations from these platforms into DP, reducing human error in manual data entry. The training is flexible, the chat support is robust (and the people are friendly and professional), and once we got the hang of running reports, we couldn't believe how easy it is (we actually laughed in glad amazement). DonorPerfect will pay for itself in time saved! Pros Our team loves how much time it saves us compared to the system we had before, which we had to supplement with our own spreadsheets to capture the information we needed. Cons Some minor suggestions: A couple of the Foundations series videos went a little fast for us and would have been better divided into two videos each. We can pause the videos and rewatch items, but they were still a bit confusing because we watched them before our records transfer. We would have liked having some dummy constituents and records of our own before and during the import of our actual records. Would love to have chat support a little longer into the afternoon (we're Mountain Time). Switched from [FundRaiser](https://www.capterra.com/p/2696/FundRaiser-Family/) FR was outdated and did not provide integrations, nor did they offer comprehensive, on-demand tech support. And running reports was something we dreaded having to do because of the time wasted and the fact that no report was ever exactly what we wanted. We are in the initial phase of getting our constituents migrated, but in the meantime I am working though the webinars, which I find impressively well done. I am able to maneuver through DP while I learn and it is very intuitive. I signed up with DP because I was convinced it would be "easy" and so far it is exceeding my expectations! Cons I haven't found anything I don't like yet. I'm looking forward to getting our data uploaded so we can schedule mailings and see results! It has been much easier to use than the previous software we had. All communication has been geared toward making Donor Perfect work for us instead of us having to adjust to how it works. Pros I have appreciated the support and training to get the most out of Donor Perfect. All the updates of trainings available as well as changes to the site like the Constituent page just added to the dashboard are well communicated. Cons I have had some difficulties in working with the filters to have only the information I want on the reports. I have chatted with customer support, but I'm a tech novice and still struggle. I have been using this product for about nine months now, so I am more familiar with its inner workings than I was when I started. Customer service has been very reliable and helpful with every issue I've had which is WONDERFUL!!! I LOVE YOU!!! I wish I could say the same about Meta's Facebook support :0 YUCK! But that is an outside issue, my apologies for digression. Pros I like the experience it offers to an inexperienced person like myself when learning about the language and context of online and paper giving, as well as campaigns, events, pledges and all those terms that I didn't know prior to using it. I also like its customizability when it comes to record keeping and characterization/organization of donor/gift information. Cons I need to manually run calculations in the FULL\_NAME section of calculated fields each time a new contact is imported from Qgiv. This is fairly simple to do, but I think it should be done automatically by the DonorPerfect program. Y'all know better than I do, but I can't think of a reason why a calculated field wouldn't be updated on a regular basis. I will run a report, and I use the FULL\_NAME field quite often in reports, but if it is a new contact imported from Qgiv, FULL\_NAME will show up empty, and I will ask myself, "Who is this donor?" and then I will remember, "Oh I need to run a calculation by hand and run the report over again." It's a small inconvenience, and I remember to run the calculations now, but I am thinking about future users here. Cool. Thanks for listening to me complain!!! :) Review Source Michelle V. Tracking donations based on fundraising campaigns in essential to the work we do, and DonorPerfect simplifies that for everyone in our organization. For example, if I misspell or miss labeled a batch name, once committed I can't change it. The system has plenty of potential and does some things extremely well. I find the customer support responsive. I think the platform is overly complex for small nonprofits. Pros Donation forms are visually appealing and easy for donors to use. Multiple donation options are a plus! proactive customer service/outreach is a nice touch. Plenty of sophisticated functionality - for those willing and able to invest the time to understand the platform. Cons Not easy to find relevant training - esp if I need it on-demand. Would love drag and drop campaign builders, I feel having to understand/remember how to customize text, how to segment, etc is a challenge for a small org. Reporting is a challenge for me - building a custom report is unnecessarily complex (and I consider myself tech savvy). Pros My favourite thing about DonorPerfect is just its ability to be the perfect one stop shop for all of our gifts, donor information, contacts, etc. It is a really effective Donor Management system. Cons There are some features that don't feel particularly useful to my organization and what we do that I don't really need access to. Also, I find the report builder to be a little clunky/confusing.
