It was a great find in that it can manage the data well, make it accessible in reports, and the cost is very competitive. It is flexible and fits our needs well. And the support is fantastic! The training videos, the knowledge base, and the chat and phone support is all very helpful. The people I have worked with were very kind and knowledgeable. It has been a great experience all around. Pros This is one of the most comprehensive software programs I could find. And the price was great. I appreciate the flexibility of the program, the ability to add/hide fields, set up the form the way I want it, and I especially appreciate how easy it was to set up on-line giving. What had been overwhelming before was accomplished quickly and effectively. The training videos, knowledge base, and support made it so easy to learn new things and use the database well. The reports are easy to use and very useful. Cons There is not much to not like about this software. I did run into a small issue with duplicate entry from on-line giving when the use used West instead of W or vice versa. If the address is not exact, it doesn't pick it up. November 8, 2023 4.0 Overall, our migration into DonorPerfect has gone smoothly and I have learned a lot about cleaning our data and how the various reports can help our fundraising efforts. Pretty easy to use and great learning tools has made this a great system to work with! Pros I love that it is pretty easy to use and that they offer great trainings and customer service, when I have questions, as a new user. We have had it up and running for 6 months now and I love learning about all the reporting features! Cons I can't think of any cons at this time. Cons Exporting data to other software that we use, like Quick Books could be a bit more simplified. Whenever I can't figure out something, I can call their customer service line and get assistance immediately. Pros I have been using DonorPerfect for 5 years. They really listen to their customer and make improvements that make sense. Also, I am able to create a variety of reports very easily to help my boss know who has and hasn't given this year in comparison to past years. Cons There are so many amazing features that I know there are many more things I can use DonorPerfect for, but haven't had the chance to learn them. February 2, 2021 5.0 When we first started our development group for our school department, we knew we had to get a donor management system to help us manage donations and thank our donors. We also knew we needed a system to help us manage a $2million campaign for a turf field, which meant not only managing donors but also contacts and thank you letters. Donor Perfect was hands down the best choice! We have never looked back and are grateful every day for the rich features that DP provides. DonorPerfect makes our job so much easier! Pros It was easy to set up and easy to get started right away, entering donors, donations and running reports. Over time, we have learned to use more advanced features like Contacts (vs donors), reporting on certain fields and editing a large import. Cons There are so many features, I still don't know how to use them all! :-) Reason for choosing DonorPerfect Ease of use, overall look and feel, recommendation of local library who was also using it to manage donations. Cons Since there are so many features, it can take a while to learn and master everything. But as there are many help resources and customer support is outstanding. I love that you can make profiles for each donor, track all correspondence and even run reports in one place. Pros Amazing Technical Support! Every time I call the agent is so clear and always solves my problems. Cons I haven't worked with any other software but I did use the old desktop version and I struggled with that. I do wish I had a "maybe mail list"or select mailing list option. Reports aren't so user friendly. Would not go out of my way to recommend Pros I like the software for donation records and the fact that they had an excellent mobile app. Cons I didn't like the pay for customer service - nor did I think the program was streamlined. It was as if the program had been built on top of a program on top of another program on top of another program. At some point it needed a totally new reiteration, not just a patched fix. The on-screen text is easy to read for our older staff, and I find it simple enough to train coworkers on how to find and use features. Pros I enjoy the simplicity on the whole from the UI, to the new payment processing feature, to thanking donors for gifts once that is set up with a template. Cons The feature to upload a document as a thank-you template was challenging to find and use at first. Reports are also not intuitive to use all the time. Review Source George I. Pros DonorPerfect is a canned product that does most of what we want for a donor program. We can track our donors, recording their donations and making notes about interactions with them. It helps us in printing receipts and address labels. Their customer service is knowledgeable for the most part. Cons It is hard to customize. They do updates to "improve" the product. They problem is that if you have customized something or created a work-around, you have problems each time they update. It is easy to create reports and customize reports. It is also easy to look individuals up and their giving history. Cons The most challenging thing about using DonorPerfect has been personalizing it to meet our needs more directly. Lots of items are not intuitive. Furthermore, we had a past employee who was not familiar with the system create several duplicates and taint our data. After this event, the staff at DonorPerfect have been incredibly unhelpful in solving our problems. We have reached out and paid for consultants from DonorPerfect but are unable to reach them for questions on a regular basis. It takes about three months to schedule to meet with someone. Very unprofessional. Our organization is planning to switch softwares soon. Review Source DM David M. Queries and reports are easy enough to compile, and the tech support is super helpful -- have tried online chat and live phone call. Over the 1.5 years I've been using DP, the product has been frequently updated with sensible improvements. I'd recommend Donor Perfect to any fundraiser. Cons Sometimes the search is a bit wonky. For example, if I'm looking up Daniel Herman, but accidentally type Herrman, I get a 'no records found' message. Seems like a database should be able to bring up similar records to what I've typed. November 17, 2016 5.0 We use Donor Perfect to manage our donors and alumni giving. We have also used several of their partner products and we couldn't be happier. As a bonus they have one of the best user conferences in the industry. Once a year they host a hands on conference that gives practical solutions to common fundraising issues. Whether you are an experienced fundraiser or just starting out you will love the many solutions DonorPerfect and their partners offer. Pros Donor Perfect has the best customer support in the industry. In addition, they have partnerships with various other product providers that make integration easy. I wouldn't use any donor management system. Cons Would like a way to manage alumni better, we are a school and like many donor management packages we are forced to treat alumni like donors. We have saved tons of time, and avoided many headaches that we used to experience with our old system. Pros Packed with many advanced features that you usually only find with products that are in another price category. Very responsive customer service. Intuitive and easy to use. Knowledgebase / Online help resources are very good. Data transfer and initial setup was very smooth. The reporting is superb and easy to use. Mobile features like accessing donor biographical information while out in the field prior to a visit are fantastic. Not every staff member is cohesive in the advice they give when you call (i.e., one staff says one thing and another staff says another).
