We were previously trying to piece together donor information using our auction event software. DonorPerfect puts all constituents and gifts in one place and the reporting has been great! Pros Great reporting capabilities, makes donor tracking easier. We have not used the email and mail merge capabilities but are looking forward to using that for our next Annual Appeal. Tracking donor open contact items and other action items keeps us on top of who we need to reach out to. Cons We don't use constant contact and would love to be able to integrate MailChimp into our DP software. Right now, you can only integrate Constant Contact. Review Source AW Akilah W. I've also used Blackbaud Gifts, which is also user friendly. I enjoyed having access to all my attachments in one place and being able to keep everything organized for managing deadlines. Cons I can't think of anything that I would describe as a con, the user interface could be slightly more attractive. They are continually updating their software to be more helpful. The automatic monthly donation section has been the best upgrade this year. We are growing our monthly commitments and it is great that all the payments are automatically processed everyday which gives us more time to focus on other things. Pros The software has so many functionalities and ways to track our funding success. Cons Sometimes I find the system to be complex when building filters, etc., however the friendly, knowledgeable support team more than makes up for this in their ability to assist me. I have been very pleased with the ways in which we can manage our data and records for such a reasonable price. I especially like that we can track our grants in the same program. Looking forward to many years of use. Pros This system is easy to set up and use, has robust reporting features, and fantastic user support. All of the DPO staff have been wonderful to work with and make our team feel we are a valued customer. Our organization is currently small, but has a lot of growth potential. We feel DPO can grow with us! Great investment. I appreciate that the system is hosted online. It provides better security than we would have internally and can be accessed anywhere. I particularly like that I can access DPO from my phone for quick reference in a meeting or on the go. The reporting features are quite extensive. There are numerous reports available or (for a nominal fee) you can customize them further. Constituent records collect a wide range of data, with even more customization available to your records screens. I particularly like the 'links' which allow for users to link one file to another, demonstrating relationships and tracking connections. A very handy feature! Cons Currently only integrated with Constant Contact for mailing (could be a pro for some). However, I heard they will be working with some other providers in the near future. Pros This software is easy to customize so that you can keep track of just about anything. It's also easy to use, so you can be comfortable assigning a volunteer or non-technical person to work in it; the different security settings allow you to limit who sees what while working in your system. Cons The peer-to-peer fundraising (used to be called DonorPages) is complicated, but I understand they're rolling out a new version in 2019. Pros always up to date on the system and taking out new things that can serve to maximize donations, I also like how fast you answer our questions when we contact you. Cons the times when Donor Perfect is performing maintenance to the system, I am glad this times are rarely during our work time. also very rarely there are some times when we can not standardize our addresses. I have had really good luck with the support, as has my IT person. We had an issue with the mobile payment processing hardware and Donor Perfect refunded our money after a lot of support time went into trying to make it work (we are in a rural area and the broadband may not have been sufficient) but Donor Perfect was great in all aspects of working on the issues. Cons I have used several different databases, starting with DataPerfect (a WordPerfect product) in the 1980s. After that I have used ACT for about 30 years, then before DonorPerfect, my nonprofit used an Access database. There are a few aspects of DonorPerfect that could be streamlined - having used ACT, I feel that some of the DP reports could be easier to pull, but for the most part, I can get everything that I need. My greatest regret is that we could not get the mobile payment processing to work because it would have been ideal for events. Review Source MC Melissa C. The customer service team is OUTSTANDING! Cons I can't say there is something I didn't like about this software. September 9, 2016 5.0 Donor Perfect is a superb data management system for non-profit organizations seeking to better manage their donors and community. The system allows for customization for instance tracking details about each entry well beyond the basics. Then those criteria can be used to develop special lists. DP provides a spectrum of services such as donation forms that can sit on your website but feed into DP. Pros Lots of depth and breadth in terms of collecting, storing, sorting, using data. Great customer support. Once familiar with DP very easy to use. Great how-to information in a variety of forms. Good training opportunities and materials. Pros I am not sure I am able to say much in terms of any positive features for this particular product.
