The preloaded reports are fantastic and the ability to customize a report to your own needs is very useful. Cons That you must pay to extra to have more than one user on at a time. We've used Donor Perfect for over 10 years for both membership and development purposes and the consistent efforts of DP to improve is impressive and always beneficial. Cons I wish that there was a feature to look up other individuals connected with a constituent. For instance, if there is a spouse or an employee you were trying to look up connected with a record, you can't search for them currently if you don't know the name of the record holder. Cons You cannot sort/filter within the database or view the entire database at once. I am constantly exporting to excel to organize data which seems like a waste of time. We're concerned about your comments related to sorting and filtering within the database, which you certainly can do. Exporting to Excel or a .csv file is an option if you want to view all the records in a spreadsheet, but we'd recommend running a report instead. That will give you the ability to drill down to the specific records and details using the hyperlinks available in our reports. The drill-down capability doesn't exist if you export the data to another source (like Excel). We're always looking to make work easier and faster for our clients and we have a great track record of incorporating client and staff ideas into our product updates. To that end we are about to launch our new Easy Report Builder, and it includes the ability to actually schedule common reports so that they are emailed automatically(!) to your key stakeholders on a recurring basis. (NEON comes to mind!) Pros Very customizable; great customer service; easy to use and learn. Rarely have any problems with it. Cons Reports are not very customizable...most reports I have to do by hand in Excel after exporting data. "Canned" reports are pretty limited. Review Source EE Emily E. Pros Very simple. The program does what it does really well, and it continues to become more aesthetically appealing. They have fundraising tips and information available fairly regularly. Cons The thing that makes it great is also what limits its potential. It's not a robust program, so if you are looking for it to do other things, you will have to look elsewhere. I also love that you can customize it to track exactly what you would like. Cons Using the filters to create mailings lists can be very confusing. You have to be very precise and use many filters or else you won't get what you want. I wish there was a more user friendly way to create mailing lists. Review Source CK Christine K. It offers a lot of flexibility and is a very useful tool for Development staff. Pros has been a very useful tool for our Development department. The software was already installed when I joined the organization and with very little in-house training, I was able to find my way around donor information and running reports. When I became totally confused, the customer support reps were very helpful in guiding me in the right direction. My most recent experience with customer service was especially helpful as they dialed into my program and I was able to watch and ask questions as they took me step by step through the process. This was invaluable. Every week I discover another way to get information from the database. Cons There are very few cons to software. Sometimes I play "phone tag" with the customer support people to get an answer to my questions. It sometimes takes me longer than I would like to figure out how to pull the information I want for a report. This is more a factor of my lack of formal training and I have recently signed up for unlimited webinar classes to increase my knowledge. Review Source AG Amanda G. I am new to donor perfect with very little organizational training or supports in place and the donor perfect support does a fabulous job of helping me. Also customizing things is very easy. In some ways, it’s the beta donor database I’ve used. Cons More in depth training documents. I know there are some but I still felt like I needed t contact support a lot. Receipting is also so easy, with the ability to set it up so that receipts go out as soon as they make a donation. I love getting emails saying someone donated and it's already taken care of!!
