I have been working with the software for about a year, and it has both helped me learn my role and the industry at the same time as providing practical application of best practices. Easy to use, easy to understand, and plenty of support!

Pros

I am new to Donor Perfect and to fundraising in general, and the interface is both easy to use and helps me understand fundraising concepts, donor management, and document our stewardship efforts with ease. There is a clear application of all the concepts I am using, with an easy to understand interface, reporting structures, and bulk data management options.

Cons

The log-in process can be frustrating, as can accidentally clicking out of the tab while working in DP and trying to get back in.

It provides a centralized place to manage donor information, gift processing, acknowledgments, campaigns, and reporting, which has improved organization and efficiency. As a Development Coordinator, I have found DonorPerfect to be a valuable tool for maintaining accurate donor records, supporting donor stewardship, and tracking fundraising activity. The ability to customize fields, codes, and reports has allowed us to tailor the system to our organization's specific needs. While there is a learning curve when exploring the more advanced features and customization options, the platform is reliable and has become an important part of our fundraising workflow. Overall, DonorPerfect has been a strong database solution that supports effective donor management and development efforts.

Pros

What I like most about DonorPerfect is its flexibility and ability to be customized to fit an organization's fundraising needs. It was also easy to learn, which made it much easier to get started and begin using it effectively. It allows us to keep donor information, gift history, campaigns, solicitations, acknowledgments, and reporting all organized in one central system. I especially appreciate the ability to create custom fields, codes, and reports that help us track important information and better understand our donors. The system has also made day-to-day development tasks more efficient, from processing gifts and maintaining accurate donor records to supporting donor stewardship efforts. Having a reliable database that can adapt to our organization's workflows has been one of the biggest benefits.

Cons

What I like least about DonorPerfect is that some functions are not always as intuitive as they could be, and certain tasks may require extra steps or troubleshooting. Customer service is always kind. Any time I reach out for help, the customer service staff are attentive and semi fast.

Cons

I didn't find it beginner friendly. Even with the how to's, it seemed like it was not easily explained without watching hour webinars.

I looked at other tools, but decided to stay with DonorPerfect. It seems to be more 'mature' than other options. Customer service is really good - they are available when I need it and they are effective and efficient at answering my questions.!

Pros

It tracks contact info, gifts, pledges, volunteer hours all in one system. I like that it sends data to QuickBooks to reduce redundant entry.

Cons

Reporting functions could be easier to use. For example, when setting up selection filter, the statement needs to be all "ands" or all "ors". I tend to run a report and then export it to MS Excel to 'clean it up' so that it fully reflects what it should. Reporting takes a lot of practice before it gets easier to use.

So far it's been great I really think that they want you to succeed, so the customer support and the help articles are great. The videos are a little overly long but still good resources

Pros

Customer support is amazing - they are so patient and super helpful. As for the donor management, I would say it is good but it could be better. I do like the ease and automation of any email management.

Cons

There's definitely a lot to unpack, and I think the reports could be a little more user-friendly but I used Altru in the past so if I can figure out anything this is easier.

As a new user, under one year, I've had a very positive experience learning this CRM. I am looking forward to digging into all the integrations with the built-in apps like Constant Contact. Again, I can't say enough how wonderful Donor Perfect Tech Support has been to me. Thank you!

Pros

Donor Perfect is very intuitive and the screen layouts and navigation make sense to users. The learning opportunities via online webinars, recorded webinars, and articles are priceless. Lastly, if I cannot find the answer online, the live IT support is phenomenal!

Cons

Classic Forms can be a cumbersome to learn, but with support it is doable! For Events Management purposes I wish there was an easier means to copy previously designed forms directly into the Events Management design templates.

Pros

I've truly appreciated the customer support that DonorPerfect offers. From initial support to migrate data to ongoing chat when needed, they've been there whenever we run into a question.

Cons

The cost. That said, it's certainly not the most expensive option out there! The reliability of the platform and the knowledge that they are there when you need them does make it worth it.

It's an overall fine experience. It's not amazing but it serves it's purpose and DonorPerfect does a nice job of continually trying to improve it.

Pros

It provides a place to capture donations and ticket sales for the Illinois Symphony Orchestra. It also allows us to create a variety of online forms for various events and/or donation opportunities.

Cons

I don't think pulling reports is the most intuitive process. There's a lot of features with the old online form system that makes it easy to secure results, contact information with clicks and you can easily see the confirmation emails. There's a lot of structure there that should be included in the online drag and drop forms. Also, it'd be great to see SMS added w/ the Constant Contact combined subscription.
