## What is DocuWorks?

DocuWorks software is an English-language application designed for use by office personnel to manage various business-related electronic documents. Users can manage all the documents created with the office tool or scanned into the application from a single system window. The platform has a display function that lets users automatically identify the total number of pages and quickly determine each document's overall size. Office workers can use the annotation function to add stamps, markers, and labels to the documents. That enables them to realize the usability attached to electronic information. Since the questions are recorded electronically, DocuWorks makes it possible for personnel to share and easily search for any document stored within the company database. Other benefits include the quick retrieval of documents and the reduction of stress. The document retrieval process does not interfere with the employee thought processes, helping to enhance user comfort.

Pros

Initially, we liked the features, ease of use and that it was considerably cheaper per month than another product that we were using. We also like that we were told that it integrated with out school management system via an API.

Cons

The support is probably one of the worst that I have encountered. You cannot talk to anyone over a phone. If you ring the support number you are directed to an operator that just wants to take your number. If you ask for them to ring you they refuse. It took nearly 17 months to get it set up as they ran in to a lot of problems, had people leave etc. and we also took longer to test things. Part of this was also due to not being able to speak to people on the phone. Implementation eventually was ok and the system seems to be working well with some teething problem but still across all of our staff the biggest complaint is the support. Definitely value for money though as far as the product goes.

Filebound was about 2.5 times more expensive per month, was not as feature rich as Docuworx and they want to charge us for every change. It also did not have an API integration with our SMS and when it did come they wanted to charge us for it.

現物でやり取りするのと同じようにオンライン上で帳票のやり取りが可能な点

Cons

オリジナルデータを開く際に別で同じ種類のファイルを開いていると開くことができない点

従来の紙書類のように電子ハンコを押印でき、宛先のトレーにドラッグアンドドロップでスムーズに渡すことができます。

動作が重いのと、接続が切れてしまうことがあります。

テキストに簡単な図を描いたりするのが、比較的容易で使いやすい

Pros

最大魅力はバインダー機能です。書類作成で編集、修正する際に非常に役立っています。

Cons

DocuWorksに変換(印刷)に時間がかかること。また、変換が立ち上がった際に、そのファイルが前に出てくる所(例えば、他のファイルをいじっていて、ファイル名を変えている途中でも印刷が完了すると作業中のファイル名の修正がリセットされる)

Pros

客先にも導入しており、ドキュメントのみならず図面データなどのデータも共有がスムーズに行える。公開、非公開設定や自分だけのスペースなど作成できて、公開範囲を決めることで社内外の公開設定も容易に行える。

Cons

アンインストールする際に、ライセンス認証を解除してから行わないと認証されたままアンインストールしてしまい、ベンダーに連絡をしてライセンス解除をしてもらわないといけないため、アンインストール時は自動で認証を解除してほしい。

DocuWorks上で見ながら並べ替え、配置、移動、編集をすべて行える。

Cons

ファイルだけで公開しても見られる環境が少ない。見るためには別途ビューアーが必要
