We saw 8% of the visits come from bots and now they're zero. No more problems with resources hitting the maximum even on limited hosting. Pros I really love how this integrates with different technologies so you can protect static and dynamic sites with a few clicks. Cloudfilt does both tasks very successfully (although more on the stopping bad bots side), and my team and I are very pleased with it. Cons Spams over contact forms sometimes goes through, so it could/should be improved. Founder Professional Training & Coaching Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "If you're looking for help with the platform, consider going elsewhere" January 26, 2026 1.0 If it weren't for the lack of support, I really would have given this program five stars because the idea is there - we all need to keep hackers and spam bots off our sites, but the fact that support doesn't respond and does not address issues that arise from existing customers is a very big red flag and I'm sorry I went with this company as my firewall and CDN. Pros I like the idea that this system can be used to keep bots and hackers out of my sites by being a decent firewall. Cons There is barely any support provided. Between the online chat and email support, I have gotten back two messages from support in several months, neither of which answered my concerns. Director of Installation Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "A good way to protect the site from unwanted bots and hackers" October 24, 2022 5.0 It's been good, I've used in on WordPress and non-wp sites with good results. One of the thing I wish they had (but to be fair it's ALL WAF and similar systems) is a huge database of trusted IP's to automatically add to their services, like all the SaaS that provide services, because in more than one occasion I had to go and add ip's to avoid new services I add from being blocked. Pros It's extremely easy to use; you just need to add the site to the platform, generate the code and paste it (or use their plugin for WordPress) Cons I wish the blocking page had geolocation to display the correct language automatically, as well as allowing to "whitelabel" it with our own logo and messages. I don’t have anymore spam comments or crappy bots going to them. The detection rate is very good. CloudFilt team is a serious one who keeps constantly their product up to date. Pros When you have a website, you want to protect it against bots, spam and others threat that are on Internet. I like the simplicity of installation on my WordPress sites. My site is secured in minutes. Cons Maybe, the possibility to whitelist some old (older than one month) bot detection, in case of false positive (rarely the case). The verification process is also quite slow, further aggravating real users. However, if you have a bad bot problem as we do, I'd recommend CloudFilt. Pros I like CloudFilt because it does a good job of keeping the bots out. Cons We do get complaints from real users about getting stuck in the CloudFilt trap. Users have given very positive feedback after we implemented CloudFilt. Pros We use CloudFilt to protect client sites against malicious and spam requests. This works incredibly well and is completely frictionless for legitimate users. Cons There is nothing that I dislike about the solution. Set up quickly and efficiently with a WP plugin Cons It sometimes is overly aggressive and blocks real people. When you try to get through as a real person, the human verification system often does not work. I've had to basically disable the plugin on some sites because it was blocking real people. People have let me know they had problems getting in even when whitelisted, but that could have been a caching problem. Still, it's a very good system for blocking bot traffic.
