We have never needed to wait more than a few hours to get an answer to a support question. It is especially nice that Easyshul sets up monthly-ish calls with their users, so we can share information with others and learn from their experiences. Pros This is such a great product with a wide range of synagogue management features and outstanding support. It's making it much easier for us to professionally set up our events, membership database, and communicate with our members. Cons As a congregation that had never used a shul management system, the learning curve was more than we expected. If we had to start over, we likely would have activated the product earlier, giving us more time to learn. However, the support has been excellent, always responsive to any of our questions. Pros I find it somewhat intuitive, it wasn't a difficult switch for me. Having a personal relationship with the people there helps a lot - not relying on chat or emails - they're quick to hop on a zoom or send a loom showing exactly what to do. Quick to fix something (Yahrtzeits)and split fields when needed to accomodate what we needed. Cons Lack of ability to create reports in a style that is helpful to us (ie: directories, statements). Bringing the data over had some hiccups which we are all fixing, (they were helpful in assisting with this). Lack of ability to create labels in zip code order for bulk mail. Still trying to work with Yahrtzeit module and hoping for Pastoral soon! I appreciate that it incorporates event management, school registration, yahrzeits, finances, and more - nearly everything we need in one database. I love that it's internet based so I can access updated information from my work or home office. Pros I love that they take user feedback and implement changes to make it all the more user-friendly and comprehensive. Experienced end users have the most knowledge of what we need in a system, and they listen to our feedback. Cons The filter feature needs an update. You can filter your members once, but there is no 'back to filter' option, instead resetting each time. This creates unnecessary steps, effort, and time. The support and customer service is amazing! That was what sold us on this product. They also send customized instructional videos or hop on zoom to help troubleshoot any problems. Cons Not all the modules are available at this time. But as new ones are rolled out they work as expected. One of the deciding factors for us was working with a software company that smaller, more accessible, and doesn't' have more customers than they can handle so that we got lost in the shuffle. We are a small synagogue and Easyshul fits in with our strategic goals. Pros We like being part of the building process. The software is user friendly, easy to use, very easy to train staff and the integration has been pretty good- certainly less stressful and not as complicated as other integrations I've been a part of.
