Ideally, the fees would be less. Or even if Square knows we are a non-profit organization, there would be a less expensive fee option. It is however a great system to create invoices and send for payment. Pros It is great to be able to use Square to offer a credit card payment option for our clients. Cons It is not easy to navigate through the Square dashboard. There are so many things you can do. But overall it’s great for a small business getting their feet wet in e-commerce. Easy to showcase all you have to offer. Clients can buy directly online. Even a service can be a listed item for purchase via the check out cart or you can use the Square invoicing system separately and send via email. Either way, you'll get paid right through Square. The payment system is great: quick, easy and seamless. All of the features are truly a great benefit when working with clients. Pros Square Online is extremely easy to use. Makes life a breeze when communicating and collecting funds from clients. Plus you have a library of your customer base and their info at your disposal. We use reports almost daily to ensure we are focusing on the right areas of our business. Cons I wish we could make tickets in the app on our phone or on the computer and have them show up on our POS. I’m able to expand in inventory make credit card sales easy for customers. Nice sales analytics to see how to help business. Pros Setting up Square for our new store was easy to do for us even though we are not tech savvy. It was easy to set up and price items to our liking. Cons There were a few things I needed to google. Especially payouts for items I sell. For example I need to charge a customer for art, but how to then do a payout as I do t keep the entire sale for ourself. I was also already familiar with the dashboard because of other Square products so it was easy to use for me. However, if you want to do anything personalized or include more complicated features, Square can make it difficult. Pros This is an awesome product for small start-up businesses. You can do a ton with the free plan and the customer service has always been super helpful in my experience. You can literally build a working online store for free, however, to get the domain you have to pay monthly. The footer and header are already made for you and they look really professional and nice. You create the pages based on pre-made elements which makes it really easy. Cons The design of the website is pretty strict, you can't add much of your own designs or layouts. You have to make your ideas fit their layouts. Domain transferring was difficult, but the customer service helped. The embedded automatic forms sometimes don't work (I wouldn't get notified by all the submissions on my website). It can also be difficult to navigate the website in the editing portal. Cons The inability to change the size of product images. The refusal of Square to allow the printing of orders so they can function as packing lists is ridiculous. The current third-party, "solution," is costly and does not work at all. Reason for choosing Square Online Ease of use.
