My experience with square has been phenomenal. They are my go to when I am working with individual customers as well as bigger corporations that I contract through for projects.

Pros

I like everything about this product. They provide all the key components and infrastructure I have been looking for from security to ease of access payment processing and dependability.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about this software.

My overall experience with this platform is good, I only wish they requested business verification first before approving me to use them as a payment processor but if you have all their needed criteria you’re definitely good to go, there service is quite seamless

Pros

The setup was quite easy, they don’t take up to 7days to process your money so thats a plus, the interface is straight forward. They support various card types for debiting

Cons

You can’t contact them via live support chatYou will be asked to verify your business once a large amount of money is processed through their payment gateway and if you don’t meet all their criteria the money will be held for 120days before release

I like square point of sale. I would say if your a small business it’s great! So far we have been impressed.

Pros

I love that it can go anywhere with me and I can run anyones card while I’m on the go. If someone forgets their card I can also just type it In. It’s also great that it’s so mobile and very user friendly. It’s self explained. Well worth the money for a small to medium sized business.

Cons

The fact that to run an actual card or swipe it you have to purchase a card reader to plug into your phone.

Pros

I absolutely loved how updated Square app is, being able to use all forms of payments, as well as cards that have both strip and chip, but in these times of Covid & Monkeypox, my favorite is contactless payments. My favorite feature of Square app above other ones I've used is the turnaround time it takes to process payments which are super quick. And also I was able to integrate it with my Instagram for my business, I will be trying with Facebook as well soon. Overall, I think I will use the product for a year to compare it out among its competitors.

Cons

The processing time on some of the payments was a little slow and a few of my payments even charged twice. Other than these few incidents I was impressed with this software

I love this POS system, I love the ease & functionality of it and if the card can’t be read on the reader, I can enter in the details manually, overall this app is a necessary if you need a POS system for your business, it’s worth every penny

Pros

I love how easy it is to use, the navigation is simple especially on the mobile device, & I love how I can monitor transactions & sales for the day

Cons

I do hate sometimes it takes a minute for it to connect to the device something

Square helped us with sales when we're at events and with our regular business operation. The rates are affordable so we're still making nearly the same profit and we've been able to sell more tickets and merchandise.

Pros

Square is a convenient way to complete sales transactions no matter where you are or what kind of business you're running. They have an app that's great. Use it in your storefront, pop-up booth, festivals, events, wherever. All of the pricing information and fees are listed up front and it's a pretty good rate. Transactions are secure for buyer and seller. Customer service portal has several ways to get support so you can use whatever method is best for you and your situation. Square can run in offline mode if you need it.

Cons

Inventory management wasn't great but since we don't have a lot of merchandise it wasn't a deal breaker. Square should come up with something better for Inventory. Easier to manage, less time involved.Account freezes do happen with Square once in a while.

I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. They're cuurently holding funds, while constantly trying to draw from my account, claiming I owe them money, but give no proof. Customer service claims they can't give me answers for lack of access to account information. They claimed they escalated, but never heard from them, while they continue to try and draft my account.

Pros

It's something you can use to help get the ball rolling with your business

Cons

Hidden fees and probably the most poor customer service I've dealt with in a very long time. Heavily loacking communication

Pros

I appreciate the invoices, so that I can collect payment for new clients and have the security of wasting time.

Cons

I don’t like how complicated it is to assign permissions to team members. It seems to be too many steps to achieve what I need.

I've never even had to contact customer service! This is the easiest, fastest and cheapest POS service out there!

Pros

I've been using square for over 10 years, getting my free plug in adapter at the Yoga show in Toronto. So easy to connect to my bank account and pretty seemless thereafter. I've never even considered another POS service for my acupuncture practice. Fees are minimal and my money is deposited in 1-2 business days.

Cons

I would like a battery low indicator on my tap device.

I still use it since it doesn't require a monthly service. It comes into a pinch when I need to sale something and don't want have go thru all the steps of the other company. Example Yard sale if someone doesn't have enough money.

Pros

The ability to set this software was super easy. It was easy to add your inventory and take your pictures all from the app, Also no monthly fee to use the service was the items that sold me on when 1st starting out.

Cons

The web presence is super lacking. No add ons, or 3rd party integrations is why I moved on to another service. The ability to really customize your website is not there, Every one has to a website that will attract sales and customers. This is just a POS 1st and website 2nd. I moved to a service that had website 1st and a POS 2nd. But I still love Square's POS software better.

Overall very positive, and I recommend to anyone that does electronic sales/needs a terminal that I come in contact with on a day-to-day basis.

Pros

Square Point of Sale has been very easy to use, easy to integrate and wonderful for keeping track of day-to-day sales. Very low customer complaints, and no problems during in-person sales. Hand-held device is very convenient, easy to transport and take to different locations

Cons

Given the NYS laws, and how/what our orders are, we are not a fan of the $0.x cent charge per order- would be much easier to just have the flat percentage. Also given the nature of our business, would be helpful to have a straight charge, not different for "card present" or not.

Overall a great option for payment processing if you are starting or already have a business

Pros

Square offers a wide variety of payment processing methods, from online integration, to in person card payments. And your money is available very quickly

Cons

I think there is a chance of improving online payments security checks, since sometimes some payments are rejected to customers and they have to try a different card

I use to have just a Cash Register with departments and switching to Square not only improved my check out and ordering process but also let me add as many terminal as I need. Fees are reasonable and deposited fast.

Pros

This Software is very friendly and easy to implement.

Cons

I'm currently using Square for Restaurants and I will like to have some changes in Modifiers that in case to be selected then request more information.Today i.e. if someone orders 2 or more eggs y have to use a modifier to define how they want them in order not to make the list of options too long. And had happned that some one have selected Scramble (but not selected eggs) what becomes a problem at pick up.

I thought Square was better even when I had to get my own terminals and hardware. at the time Clover was using a credit card processor that was very disappointing at invoicing.

As stated above, Square has had numerous pros for me when it comes to my apparel business.

Pros

I love Square and have been a loyal user of Square POS & Square payments. For starters, Square is what helped pave the path for me to be able to launch my clothing / apparel business outside of Etsy. I wanted to launch my own site, have independence away from online marketplaces, and have control over my payments, sales, invoices, etc., and Square is what gave me this opportunity. I am able to do everything within the app, whether it is in-person sales or online. Online, I was able to connect Square with their website service (Weebly), which mean my payments & sales go directly to my Square account. These are the main pros for me with using Square: -Good processing fees -Free Square reader was provided to me (plugs into my iPhone and uses Bluetooth) for in-person sales; allows me to work pop-up shop shows -Instant transfers to my bank; this was SUPER critical to me since I work in a made-to-order apparel business. I need to have funds instantly for fabric purchases, supplies, shipping supplies, etc. -Quick invoicing -Ability to organize customer info and customer data -Ability to order gift cards for my shop directly through Square

Cons

I have no cons; Square has been my go-to payment processing software and I will not switch in the future.

Love it 100percent I like change but for me to change you have to even twice the features then the the original ones so until I see another one better square is just better period

Pros

All the check boxes are check because I make sure all my needs are meet and with square they are period

Cons

I do not see any features at the moment but with time things change and other things come out so it's not what's bad what's good it is before agreeing if you can not decide if all boxes are not check your probably best off looking for something else
