Easy, quick and reliable for in office or on the go. As easy as it sounds, you take payment over phone or send invoice. It’s super fast! Pros I have been using Square point of sale for the past 7+ years and I absolutely love it. It’s user friendly so easy to set up, add items/services and even use free link for people to purchase. Pros This is the number one easiest point of entry to Point of Sale software in iOS. The UI is obvious and unobtrusive; fees are per-transaction and easy to understand. Cons Once you get any more sophisticated than what Square has to offer, the appeal is gone. It has been a quick, easy, and reasonably priced option to take card payments as I start my business. It is very easy to use, quick to use, and is portable. So far I have used this for the year of 2018 and it has served me well. I will upgrade to a better processing system that square has to offer in the future, but for now the basic card reader does perfect. Pros I love that the square payment system is easy to use, mobile, and it is an inexpensive way to process card payments. I also like that I can use it on my ipad, computer, or phone. Cons One of the things that I highly dislike is that if a card is manually typed in there is a higher processing fee, which I don't find necessary. Aside from this there isn't much to dislike. Easy to integrate with my client management software. Easy for clients to use. I honestly can't tell you if the customer support is any good because I've never even needed to reach out for support. The main point is that it has helped us improve our sales in conferences making the process of accepting cards much easier and faster. Pros The gadgets that you can use to make the sales in person. They make it easy for you to sell and that is the main point of using Square Cons Customizing the store can be a bit of a challenge. It has a clean interface which helps a lot. When introducing Square to one of my clients they loved how easy it was to use the app with adding items to adding and rearranging items on the POS screen. The easy to use interface was great for them as they are older and they don't really understand technology but now they are waiting tables with their iPhones. They love using the Square Referral program to get free processing with their friends which make the experience a lot better. The cost of Square is also amazing with no monthly fees and the payment terminal. It's an amazing alternative to the banks. The only draw back is they haven't released Square Loyalty and Square Gift Cards in Australia so it is lacking some of the most important things a business needs to grow but they promise me that we should see some progress by the end of 2017. Their rate is very low and there is no monthly cost on top of it (unlike other POS systems). You will also get access to other software and service through square at a reduced rate from other similar systems, making this a perfect set up for small businesses. Pros Square POS is the best option for small business. In the end, you will be paying less for this we service than with with POS systems, including the cost of you register system. POS gives you so much and access to so much more for such little cost. Cons I have currently had no issues with Swuare POS. It allows small businesses to provide a wide range of payment solutions to customers. I've used it sparingly for my tutoring payments, and I've always received positive feedback when I don't need to ask for cheques. Cons Square could offer a lot more on its reporting functionality. It is so easy to use, and everyone on my team can easily access the account on their separate devices. It has definitely been a huge reason we have sold more products at our table at each location we set up! Very easy to enter each product and price into the account. Also very easy to get a summary of sales during any time period. Cons I have had several issues with the credit card reader not recognizing cards. And most people do not like having their card swiped multiple times for obvious reasons. Also, many people struggle when they have to sign their signature at the end of a purchase. They are customer friendly and allows you to accept credit cards in person, by invoice or online store. Pros Accepting credit cards via invoice, online store or in person isnt more simple or easier than Square. They have become our perferred payment vendor, due to their simple system and fast payouts. Cons I wish there was some more customization with their invoice mailings. It seems to be a pre-packaged offering that is very limited in the setting adjustments. Seriously, if you are in business this is the software to use. They have the best rates and they are so easy to manage. Pros I love that it is compatible on all of my devices, computer, iPad, iPhone etc. The card reader/chip reader is also amazingly easy to plug in and use. I can also create invoices to match my brand. Cons There is nothing I disliked about this software. Pros I like almost everything about the product. It's easy to upload product, edit, change prices, etc. I often need assistance when traveling and using Square. If someone has never used it before, they can operate it after just a couple of minutes. Cons The appearance on my site is limited with only a few choice templates. I'd prefer full editability so the store could look how I'd like it. Also, some of the procedures beyond a normal sale or report are bothersome. The rate is great, the ease of use is better than any other POS I've used, and it has more features now than ever before. Pros Doing POS on my smartphone with one, tiny little attachment is fantastic. There are other options that offer the same type of thing, but the originals still seem to be the best. Cons I wish it was more intuitive when adding items. There are times that invoicing or using something like PayPal doesn't work, and Square has been the answer for me. They provide a lot of value for a small fee, and they make it so easy to get started. Most banks require a per month fee and major processing fees but with Square, you only pay processing on each card entered or each sale entered. This is really helpful considering my businesses is small. Pros The app and website log on are so easy to use. The sales reports and any other reports are so easy to find, print, and read. Creating customers and invoices are all a plus. This software is just perfect for small businesses like mine. There is not a separate monthly fee you are charged to keep your account active. You are only charged when a card is swiped or entered. This is a great tool for small businesses who do not have a credit card terminal Cons The fees are a little confusing because they charge a flat rate plus an additional and that is a little hard to follow but other than that, no complaints. The fee is still small compared to bigger banks.
