I am absolutely amazed at the details it provides. Pros I love the summary and highlights that Fathom provides, as well as the action items. I am always amazed at how well the system work - and work it does. I now 100% relay on the notes and action items from Fathom such that I am having to take less notes and spend more time enaged with the client. Cons It would be nice if there was a way that Fathom didn't have to be an 'active participant' as it does take up screen space. It has been incredibly easy to implement into my daily meeting workflow, and I use it multiple times a day. Cons I had some confusion getting it setup with multiple accounts - I have a client that wants to keep all recordings under a particular domain, and it took some poking around to figure out that I needed to switch back and forth between separate accounts to make that work. But now I know all of the important information is being captured along with tasks and I can easily send that to the other people I am on the call with. I also love that I can watch the recording and certain points in the note taking will take me right there. Pros How easy it is to use and record. I don't even have to worry if I am capturing all of the points because it does it so flawlessly. I was up and running in no time with integrating it with Zoom. Cons I don't like the various windows that appear when I join a meeting. Sometimes if I join from a link in a calendar view it won't open my Fathom to give me a choice to record. It has been relieving to be present in meetings and not worry about taking notes. Pros Ease of use and accuracy. The option to send notes to all participants as well as use with many platforms is awesome. I also like the different options to analyze the meetings. Cons A mobile app would be great. I often take meetings on my mobile devices through the Google meet or zoom apps. The fathom assistant doesn't seem to join. I assume because there isn't a mobile client. For instance, I have to join a Google Meet meeting from the desktop web browser in order for Fathom to join. Review Source JB Joel B. It is easy to use, and those on my team who are not as tech savvy have found it incredibly easy to implement. Pros We run a lot of projects and the notes that it creates from the portfolio kick-off summary is incredible. Clicking that summary at the end of my meeting saves me an hour of time. I can always use an extra hour back in my day. Cons We have not experience something we don't like yet. Reason for choosing Fathom The amount of features they offered appeared to be the most robust. June 6, 2024 5.0 Pros I was blown away by how accurate Fathom's meeting recaps are! It is spot on almost every time and saves me a ton of time documenting my calls. I love the variety of templates available that automatically reorganize your summary based on what type of meeting it is. The interface is incredibly easy to use. I refer back to my call recordings and summaries all the time and I can find specific moments within my calls in mere seconds with its easy search functionality. I also love the bookmark feature that allows me to mark an important part of the call while it's happening so I can easily go back and refer to it later. I love that it also has Zoom and Salesforce integrations. I am a huge fan! Cons I haven't found anything I don't like yet. The only thing would be pricing is a little high for a single user. It also adds an additional layer of protection when initially defining scope, terms, KPIs, and the like. Pros Fathom allows me to focus on my conversations without worrying about missing anything. I set it up in 60 seconds and it's been invaluable ever since. I'll never have another meeting without it. Cons When using Zoom, I've been having trouble turning off the audio notes (entered the meeting, recording in progress, link shared) – I'm probably just missing a basic setting, but I'd prefer to see this setting off as the default. Cons I strongly dislike that there is no multiple account feature. I have to toggle between my personal, my client account, and my agency account all day. The startup videos were clear and easy to understand. Pros It's easy to use because it pops up when I have a meeting and it's one click to join the meeting. The meeting bot has never created any issues in the meeting, just dutifully sits there taking notes and recording. The best part is the playback where I can search through the meeting and play back critical parts. During playback I like how the text and video are sync'd together so I have the full context. This has eliminated, or rather revolutionized, my note taking. Cons I wish it recorded without being present in the room so it didn't take up any room or have to be admitted. I use it to record all my meetings with clients, and it's so simple to get a great recording and send the link to clients with one click after the meeting finishes. The webpage it creates for each meeting includes not only the recording, but so much information to make it easy to navigate through the recording to specific takeaways. I can click on any part of the transcript and jump straight there, or see an auto-generated list of every question asked in the meeting and jump to those moments in the video. During the meeting, I can highlight important moments, and they'll be marked in the transcript at the end. And if I forget to highlight something during the meeting, I can highlight anything I like in the recording and transcript. Using Fathom has eliminated so many minute admin steps of creating and sharing recordings, and it's made using those recordings so much easier and more pleasant. I can't imagine removing Fathom from my workflow. Cons When you share a recording, Fathom does NOT share your highlights or annotations. That has pros and cons—pros, in that I can highlight whatever I like with impunity, but a little inconvenient if I want to share my highlights with other viewers. That said, I've been discovering more tools within Fathom to make it possible/easier to share specific moments. So really, this isn't so much that the feature I'm looking for doesn't exist; it's more that I'm still in the learning curve of figuring out how to make the most of it.
