It accurately breaks down any frustrations, pain points, or open items and allows me to review with ease for after action items as well as share information with my team. It especially allows me to just focus on the conversation and what is being said. This is especially nice with Clients who want to feel heard and not just watch you type throughout the meeting as you take notes lest you forget something critical to them. Pros Fathom seamlessly integrates with my Teams meetings and automatically joins in, records everything, and then provides me a detailed synopsis that allows me to highlight any point, review any outstanding tasks, or even simply just click a button and it will send the recap to everyone who was on the call. It makes note taking, To-Do Lists, and everything else much simpler. Unscheduled meetings can easily be joined by copying the meeting link to Fathom on your desktop. "Sorry I can't write that fast, please repeat" etc. With Fathom, I just talk and they talk and it's all organized and written out for me when we finish. I also used to have a hard time deciphering what the next steps were from my scribbles taken during the meeting. Fathom determines the action items for me! AND for the attendees! Pros Fathom is super user friendly and the integrations with the video conferencing software is flawless. The control over how the reports are structured are very customizable. The look, functionality and results are second to none in my opinion. I also appreciate that I can program it to auto join so I dont need to remember to also add my notetaker. The calendar reminders really help me not miss a meeting. Plus you can launch the whole thing from your Fathom without needing to also open the video conferencing software. So easy! Cons I really haven't run into any issues! I guess my only request would be an ability to re-name the meeting before or during it vs after the recording is complete. But the glowing referral of someone I follow made me check out Fathom and I'm tickled pink with the use of it and my easily readable and task oriented notes. Pros I was sent a link by a friend, clicked it, easily integrated it with Zoom and used Fathom within 30 minutes of me even hearing about. EASY PEASY is my answer to everything! Pros I like that it automatically records and transcribes my calls, providing summaries with key takeaways that are quite accurate. I like that it's added to all of my calls, although I did have an issue with one of my most recent ones. Cons Sometimes it can get buggy. Downloading it and getting it added to my calls was a bit complicated, but once it was set up, it's mostly worked fine. It's awesome for this. Some issues: 1. We have daily standup, and it's my practice to type dot points with the summary and action items as people speak. Sometimes I get it wrong. Sometimes I miss what's being said. Now I don't have to do any of this, and simply be part of the conversation, knowing the summary/actions are being created. 2. Sometimes I have meeting after meeting and forget what I committed to do three meetings back! 3. Sometimes I don't quite pick up some of the conversation, particularly if the line is a bit bad or if the accents are hard, or, let's be honest, if my mind wanders. However Fathom gets it all. Ultimately, Fathom helps me have a record of all my online conversations with a summary and set of actions and is excellent and awesome for being able to cover everything that must be done and review what was discussed. I've also found the support team very friendly and helpful when I've talked to them. Pros Fathom is an AI-based notetaker and as you might expect, it gives you AI summaries of your meetings. However, what's really nice is how seamless it blends in. It monitors your calendar and Teams/Zoom/etc. and automatically joins with you. You can remove it from any meeting if desired, but otherwise, it joins in silently, and then gives you a summary at the end - with action items, and importantly, hyperlinks to the relevant part of the meeting so you can always go back and review the recording and transcript. There's a paid tier for teams to collaborate, but for free you still have a personal assistant that keeps you on top of all your meetings. It's easy to review the summaries and to check off the action items. What this means is during the meeting you are free to engage, talk, collaborate - without worrying about taking notes or being distracted. It also does a better job than I can of understanding all the nuances of some of my English-as-a-second-language colleagues. You can also hook it up to a CRM so your call summaries are auto-filed there. Cons There's not a lot to dislike, particularly given it has a free tier. However, I suppose some minor wish-list items are that I could personalise the AI assistant so when it joins a meeting it has a particular image/name, but that's very trite. Sometimes it doesn't quite understand my good old Australian accent properly - but this gives us a bit of a laugh at what it thinks I said. We can figure out what was meant and it's not a problem, though one feature request could be that we can edit the summary and perhaps train the AI on these misunderstandings. This has been most useful in cross team meetings where we cover many topics, some that aren't related to my work. Sometimes people talk for minutes about a subject I think is unrelated and then mention my team as a possible collaborator. I can then mark it and come back later to get the full details. I also like they they bucket all my questions so I can quickly see all the answers I need at the end of the call. Also having each bullet point link to the exact timing in the video is very useful. I've used it daily since downloading it and it's very simple to use out of the box. Cons I don't love that the notetaker is present like a guest in the Zoom. I used Limitless before and would verbally ask if it was okay to record, which added a layer but it somehow felt less invasive. Having the notetaker there always reminds people that I'm recording as it's a black square, and multiple times folks have said something about it. Enough so that I don't use it in half of my meetings. Videos have been really helpful when the owners of my company want to see what my team is doing with customers. Also helpful for training my team. Pros I'm on the back side of my career. I'm past wanting to adopt a lot of new technology. The thought of AI in general is overwhelming to me. My boss talked me into trying Fathom and it has blown me away. I use it on my Teams meetings with customers and with my team. It filters out the meaningless talk and highlights just the key points in the meeting and it is shockingly accurate. I get an email recap as soon as my meeting has ended and I can put that recap in my CRM, share it with the owners of my company, use it for follow-up tasks etc. It also gives you a recording of the meeting to use for training etc. It makes itself known by showing as a participant in the meeting, and titles itself as "my fathom note taker". Not at all intrusive. I've shared the recap notes with my customers. It's saved me a ton of time in recaps alone. It's really great! Cons When your meeting starts, Fathom generally takes about a minute to join - So the pop-up notification that Fathom has entered your meeting can disrupt initial greetings etc. But this is a small issue that hasn't caused any disruptions to my meetings yet. Easy to use and reliable it effectively recorded my meeting notes and actions enabling me to provide written records instantly after calls. There are various templates available so you can tailor the output bag on the type of call for example PKO, Status Calls, Sales Demo. I also liked that it recorded the duration of each call as this made it easier to record accurate timesheet entries in my internal Project Management System. I often times go back to review my videos on sales calls so I can see how I can improve. Having the videos for playback is really useful! Pros I love that Fathom is there for me if I miss anything in my meetings. I rest assured that my handy-dandy notetaker was there and I can go back, review the key takeways, notes, transcript, or even playback the video for more clarity if needed. Additionally, some of my other favorite features are that it keeps the Chat, so any comments or links I may have missed or need to go back to, I can. Ask Fathom Al is also another fantastic feature if I'm unable to quickly find something — I can just ask! Flippin brilliant! The only thing I've found challenging with Fathom was being unable to update my email address in my account settings. I had to reach out to the company, which they were very helpful and successful in doing! Fathom is transcribing, hosting and giving me summaries of my calls.
