Fathom removed all that burden from us, as its unique tools helped us simplify the procedures, and the copying process became automated, which enabled us to write down everything and prepare it within the designated form so that we could follow it up accurately, and make the necessary updates in the upcoming meetings. Pros It is excellent to use Fathom to understand meetings in virtual reality, as we can, with simple steps, record video clips as well as calls directly and convert them into texts, which helps us to ensure that minutes of meetings are written accurately, without neglecting any details, even if they are small. Fathom is very easy to use, and I can organize everything saved within the records to go back and update my previous notes quickly. I appreciate how Fathom can engage with colleagues to ask for updates or get more clarification on specific points. Cons Fathom is very easy to use, and the dashboard is designed to help you quickly use all the functions; the subscriptions are affordable, and the free version provides many excellent services. It´s super simple to use, I'm truly impressed, never imagined it would be so efficient. The interface is great, I like the floating widget and the email that is sent immediately, gives a clean summary with action items, with a very well design layout, I'm not missing a single thing form my meetings, very useful for paced work environments. Cons It would be great to combine it with a note documentation app like One-note, or even create a function around it that allows documentation and notes additional to the summaries. Pros The most amazing thing is that the quality of the product is what I would expect from something charging $50+/mo, but it's free! The integration with Zapier allowing me to automatically sync notes from my meetings with my CRM, the intuitive recording and note sharing with other attendees, the unobtrusive interface and easy set up, and more all make it a regular part of my routine now. Pros I used to have to fill out a sales sheet we created internally for each and every client I met with, multiple clients per day. Now Fathom does it for me! Cons Nothing. I have tried 2 other AI "Add-Ons" for Zoom, one developed by Zoom themselves, and nothing compares to Fathom's capabilities. Cons When I was setting up I was unsure of how to do it properly but after a short discussion on what I was doing with support, I was set up to run quickly. Pros I love how easy Fathom is to use - it just automatically starts taking notes whenever I enter a Zoom meeting. It's also easy to turn off if I don't need notes. The summaries are super helpful and the bullet points etc make it so easy to read and remember the most important parts of your meetings! The best part is that I no longer have to take notes during meetings OR go back and watch the recordings to take my notes. Fathom is saving me HOURS! No more forgetting to record or running out of storage in a cloud. Pros I love that you can edit the video later into smaller sharable parts. I also love the AI summary and transcript. I use these summaries for my investor updates. It saves me a ton of time. Sometimes I use fathom for recording a process to share to an employee as well. I also have not hit any storage or meeting limits as far as how many meetings I have and how long the meetings are. I hope this does not change! Cons Nothing! The best part is after the meeting as it provides a summary which can be copied over to your CRM and can organise an email with the action items set out. This company values user feedback and builds products with end users' productivity in mind. Pros It's really "set and forget". It automatically joins my calls, and I have the option to add to ad-hoc meetings through the desktop app. The email summary is often used as a part of my follow-up workflow and I can easily copy and paste the summaries and share. Cons The interface for my library of recorders is not well organized, and hard to add labels, utilize folders and not have the thumbnails show up. December 20, 2023 5.0 My experience with Fathom has always been great, it's so seamless and super helpful in so many different ways. Pros I love that I can always go back and rewatch any meetings, as well as having the transcriptions of them! I use Fathom for every single meeting, which is about 7-8 times a week so it helps me keep them all organized. It was super easy to set up my account and integrate it with my google meet account aswell! Any time I've ever had any slight technical issue, their support has been super helpful and helps fix it every single time. Cons The only downside I've had with Fathom is sometimes the transcripts aren't super accurate of who is talking/ what exactly they said, but it's still super super close so it's honestly not my biggest concern! I host multiple meetings at my job and also am responsible for drafting meetings notes and sending out tasking to my team after the meeting. Fathom has completely taken the overwhelm out of hosting a meeting. I love the meeting summaries and the tasks it generates. I also love being able to rewatch any of my meetings without having to record, download and save each meeting to my desktop. Cons I don't like that when screen sharing, you can't see the partipants in the recording. They did turn on the setting in my account to allow this, but my participants were weirded out that is said my meeting was being live streamed. Also, I am saving hours a day with the summary feature in Fathom. I have been composing the summary from scratch which is time-consuming. Pros What I like best about Fathom is the ability to search for certain keywords within the audio clip using the home page search bar. This feature has helped me review meetings using snippets of what I remember without having to go through entire meetings. Very useful! Cons I get annoyed by the fact that the playback button's color background mixes with the meeting's screen recording display making it hard to toggle between speeds when I need to speed up or down at notable periods within a meeting. The ability to have an automated note taker, that not only records and transcribes the meeting, but also provides a detailed meeting summary, including next steps, saves me so much time. These small admin tasks take up a lot of time when taking into account the multiple external touchpoints I have as a CSM everyday. I also find the coutdown feature that I get in my mac top bar that gives me at a quick glance how much time I have until my next meeting. The installation process was simple and easy to follow, and once I got used tot he pop up that happens every time I have a meeting, using the system was a breeze. I also really appreciated that the account manager assigned to me sent me a few emails about some features that would be helpful to me in examining my use of the platform. Cons One thing they can improve on is the installation process. Whenever I have questions or concerns, the support team at Fathom is quick to reply and provide meaningful responses. The ability to generate highlights and clips of important sections on the fly has made taking action after a meeting significantly easier. Pros The main draw for myself and my team was having a quick and easy way to generate transcriptions of meetings as a part of regular call reporting. All of the additional features are just bonuses for us. The generation of meeting notes that get sent to participants is incredibly helpful. We've had customers come back and tell us how much they like having those sent to them. The transcriptions are clean and the AI summary is very accurate. Cons There are a few new features I'd like to have, mainly integrating with other tools that we use internally, so I'd hardly count that as a knock against Fathom. Review Source ES Evan S. I came from Gong and I can say that this is a step in the right direction and way more bang for your buck. Pros I love the integration and AI notetaker. The fact that everything loads in my CRM makes it easy for me and my team to locate and execute at a higher level. Makes it easy when training as well. Just sending them a google doc or a hubspot link. Cons Just when creating tasks. The date populates to the same day, not a dealbreaker by any means though.
