I onboarded my team using their free version and then as soon as the enterprise option became available, we purchased it and have never looked back. It transforms our entire process for taking, reviewing, and following up after meetings. It has saved us countless headaches. Pros It literally does precisely what it says it will. It easily records, transcribes, and provides access to the recordings right after your zoom call. It is simple to use and makes taking notes on zoom calls something I'm not buried by in every meeting. Cons There's not a lot to dislike. The team is highly responsive, the product has virtually no glitches, it's constantly being improved by their team, and fits easily into my workflow. Review Source AA Akash A. The point wise summary that I get from Fathom has allowed me to focus on the meeting rather than on taking notes. Both are linked to their exact moments in the video That allows me to keep record of all of our meetings, and I've been able to direct clients to the recording instead of answering the same question repeatedly. It also helps us look back to a conversation to remember what was said. Cons I'm afraid the rug will get ripped out from under me and I'll have to pay to access my files some day. Is it too good to be true? Otherwise, I wish I could edit the transcripts. Co-President Environmental Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Awesome software and makes meetings easier" May 13, 2024 5.0 Pros The best thing about Fathom is that it is free while still offering a wide use integration (zoom, teams, Google Meets). It is nice that it joins all meetings and is able to have the transcript, recording, key takeaways to do for the next meeting and topics within minutes of finishing a meeting. Also having it be super easy to use during and after the meeting is a big plus. I have used it in basically all my meetings, and I am very pleased with it, and so is everyone who I shared the call with. Also downloading and installing the software is super easy and straightforward. Cons I don't like the website interface and would like to initiate the meetings within the website rather than the overlay. Also, I would prefer a better landing page when going on the website. The first time I went on the website I was a bit confused as to what I can do and where everything is. Admittedly, I did not watch the tour video that was prompted when I first got there, but it should be more intuitive. I would also like it to be a bit easier to remove the notetaker from a meeting or stop the notetaker. Maybe their should be different settings if you were the host or if you are joining a meeting. Especially if you are late, it is a bit awkward that the notetaker automatically joins the call and starts recording when you are not suppose to. Review Source AI Abigail I. The functions currently available are already very comprehensive and cover many of the things that are important during and after the meeting. A tool for everyday work for everyone who makes video calls. And it's amazing how easily it docks onto Zoom, Teams and Google Meet and how quickly we rolled it out in the team. Cons Most of the conversations take place in German and that's where we notice the limits of transcription. If Fathom had existed back in my early days, I would've been out of a job. haha! I love the accuracy of Fathom's summaries, the takeaways/action items. The ability to highlight real-time. And the speed at which the recording link is available to instantly send to team members/clients. Cons I'd love to be able to add in my own action items. I know I can edit existsing ones, but I'm not seeing that we can add new ones that were missed. Also, I can't seem to edit anywhere else but the action items. Maybe I'm just missing it. Fathom automatially depolys and the ability to not only play back our neeting is extremely useful but you can also summarize your meetings using note taker. Ese of use, the ability to integrate woth your favoite app. Implementation is extremey easy. We use Fathom exclusively, as we deploy or virtual coaching we will be using Fathom more and more as time goes on. For the times I need to submit something formally, I will need to manually correct it (which I can do). Reason for choosing Fathom Fathom was offered as a free app add-on through Zoom. Cons Could be more accurate with names, but we have a variety of accents within our organization. This is always a weak spot for most. I'd love the ability to correct it one time and have it apply that learning to other instances. Pros The new AI Summary does such a perfect job with categorizing notes and action items that I now no longer need to review transcripts for summary/next steps emails post customer calls. This took me 30-45 min per call to transfer notes and action items to emails and to Notion which now takes me 5-10 min. Pros I love how it summarizes key topics and takeaways as well as extracting action item to-do lists for each respective member of the call. I also love that the I can forward the recording to everybody on the call with the click of a button and that it's ready within about 30 seconds. Pros Although Zoom has introduced a summary tool, it falls short of this app in terms of useful features and user-friendliness, despite the fact that we have used Zoom for numerous meetings in the past. It is an essential accessory for Zoom. Cons Fathom is displayed on the Zoom participants' screen. In my opinion, this is really bothersome. Disclosing the fact that the meeting is being recorded in a more covert manner would be preferable.
