December 19, 2023 5.0 Pros Fathom is easy to use as it automatically comes up on every Zoom call I'm on, whether I'm the organizer of the Zoom call or just a participant. Easy to turn off if not appropriate to record that particular Zoom call. The transcription process is amazing and even picks up soft-spoken individuals and those who may have a strong accent. Cons I really don't any dislikes of Fathom. One feature that I assume will continue to improve is the AI summary. It automatically connects to the contact card in Hubspot making it very easy for us to access the file later PLUS it will assign me HubSpot tasks based on action items I mention in the meeting - very cool! I also love how easy it is to make a quick clip of a portion of the call - I use these all the time. Cons I hope one day, it will be easy to search words across multiple videos in our library, but this is a really specific feature requests for a future state. Fathom has upleveled my client experience by allowing me to easily record and transcribe my sessions. I can then share the recordings, transcription, call summary, and quick links to questions I answered all with a click! We also use it for our team meetings and love how it summarizes our Action Item list and everything discussed - such a time saver! Highly recommend this tool! Cons There is nothing not to like. The process of note-taking used to consume an immense amount of time, rendering it unsustainable, particularly given the frequency of sessions. Moreover, attempting to simultaneously deliver a session while taking notes proved to be quite distracting. However, with Fathom, I can now wholeheartedly concentrate on delivering engaging sessions, leaving the note-taking responsibilities to this efficient tool. I am not looking back! Pros The ease of use, the platform is very easy to use. It decreases my administrative time drastically, with Fatho I no longer need to spend hours creating meeting recap and follow ups. My company is based in Australia but we conduct zoom meetings globally. In the past, I would download these zoom meetings, re-upload them to a client folder in google drive, get a transcription, then another summary with action steps… then send it all to a client. Fathom cuts out the need to do all of this, saving me both time and money, and doing a very accurate job as well. Apart from the amazing summary of each call, I love the way you can see transcription appears on screen in a “text message” like format, how the questions from each participant are clearly listed along the side, and how with one click, it all gets emailed to the client right away. Super impressed! Pros My favourite feature about Fathom is the SUMMARY after every zoom recording. It saves me hours re-watching recordings for meetings I didn’t take notes on, and the accuracy is amazing. Cons Nothing! I’m loving everything at the moment and just wish I’d discovered it years ago. I love that the team function allows our consulting group to get up to speed on clients and previous meetings without having worked with that client before. It's like a video knowledge base of our clients. It's super easy to install and get configured. The customer support team is super responsive. One team member was able to recover a huge video file that saved our skin this past quarter. We use it every day and with every team member for every meeting. I sound like a paid commercial but this saves me so much time and allows for an immediate sharing of the transcript, summary, recording, etc. so I don't have to circle back later in the day like Zoom. Love it! Cons No issues thus far, but I'll keep exploring. There is a lot to learn.
