It reminds me of the contents of the last meeting. It takes better notes than myself. Government-related meetings are no longer allowed to use AI notetakers for recording, but Fathom still does a great job for student group research meetings. Pros It takes accurate notes, immediately available after the meeting. It can get the main points of the conversations, and extract action plans. If you are not sure about one sentence, click the sentence, and you can hear that exact sentence said by the speaker again to gain context. It is integrated with Zoom and Teams. Cons It always asked me to allow recording. It creates a Fathom version of me sitting in and recording the meeting. I did not want to bother people with the recording requests. December 19, 2023 5.0 I recommend Fathom to everyone. I think it just makes all meetings and especially interviews much more efficient. I love how I feel present in the meeting and can always go back so I know I won't miss anything. Pros I work in HR, and what I love most about Fathom is I can record my interviews and be completely present during them. I don't need to worry about taking notes because I can go back and see a summary and go back to the places where I liked something or had more questions. It makes me MUCH more efficient. Cons I think the voice recognition will get better, but it doesn't always capture what we're saying correctly. It does VERY well though! Review Source NB Neil B. Fathom integrates seamlessly with my Zoom and is there when I want it. The post-meeting processing is quick and accurate. Pros Fathom is simply a fantastic addition to my Zoom meetings. Not having to worry about taking notes frees me up to listen to what other parties are saying. The AI "filters" for meeting summaries (e.g., Sales, Customer Success, Project Update) are also a great value-add for teasing out relevant information and action items from meetings. Cons My only dislike is that I can't use Fathom in a solo Zoom meeting, where I am just trying to get a video, transcript, and summary notes for a video I am producing to post online. Fathom seems to expect another party to join before it will start recording. The workaround is to join as another party on another device, but that is a little clunky. Review Source VS Vy S. I can also go back and have a look what are the key takeaways from the meeting and then go to the exact place in the video so I can review back. It sends the summaries immediately after the meeting, which means I don't have to wait for anything which makes things so much easier and saves me so much time. Pros The best thing about this tool is that there is no need to do the hard work. It does all the note taking for us and categorises them into very easy and practical ways to consume after the meetings. Cons At the moment, nothing to dislike. The difficulty has disappeared- and now when I need to focus, I can, knowing I'll still have notes for what we discussed. Cons The notes could be a little more intuitive, but honestly I have 0 complaints. It's made my life worlds easier, and now my clients can watch our trainings back if they forget something. It´s super simple to use, I'm truly impressed, never imagined it would be so efficient. The interface is great, I like the floating widget and the email that is sent immediately, gives a clean summary with action items, with a very well design layout, I'm not missing a single thing form my meetings, very useful for paced work environments. Cons It would be great to combine it with a note documentation app like One-note, or even create a function around it that allows documentation and notes additional to the summaries. It allows me to be totally focused when listening to my clients. I especially like the highlight button. Whenever the other person on my zoom call is saying something very important, I push the highlight button and it catches the full thought and intent of the speaker. I also like the fact that I can save the summary in a word doc and skip the paper. This tool is a godsend! Cons I haven't found a downside, but I do need to learn how to use the additional buttons. Fathom makes my life so much easier. It realiably produces high quality meeting notes and separates out key takeaways and action steps, making them easy to share with other participants. As a coach, I used to spend 20 minutes after each session capturing notes so I could remember what happened & set my clients up for success. I no longer have to spend that time because Fathom's got me covered. Cons It's a robust app and I haven't fully figured out how to use all the features, but I also skipped the onboarding. April 20, 2024 5.0 Easy set-up, easy connection to other services (Zoom, etc), works quietly in the background and adds enormous value to my work. Being able to provide my clients a summary, recording, and action steps makes it easier for them to accomplish their goals without having to go back and listen to the recording. Pros I love the meeting summaries. They are exquisitely helpful for my clients because so much comes up in our calls that it's hard to be present and take notes that make sense. Having the bullet points AND action steps available along with the recording to send to some immediately is a huge time saver for me and helps keep us on track. It is amazing not having to write meeting notes from scratch. Pros Each time I take a Zoom meeting, it automatically records and sends me a summary. I have found it so easy to use and the customer service has been more than I expected. I have been using it for the last 4 months and can't imagine doing business without it, saves me so much time and glad to have a record of meetings to look back on if needed too. Cons I have experienced some bugs with it loading on Zoom, and there is limited integration with Teams, but nothing too concerning. But the one I like the most is that there is a link to the exact section of the recorded meeting for every takeaway. It is a time saver and it allows me to be more present during my online meetings. Also, the integration with outlook is important because is how I use the calendar. Pros It is ver simple to implement and to use. Compared with other note takers, Fathom is simple, easy, friendly. It is perfect if you don´t need a lot of sophisticated features. Cons It could improve their support for other languages, in my case: spanish. It is not bad, but can be better. With the summaries and the video timing link it gets super easy and fast. Pros How fast and accurate the summary is ready after the meeting ends. Cons Maybe the UI of the web app is too condensed/narrow. It would be nice to see it wider.
