Pros Fathom makes it easy to stay engaged in the flow of a meeting conversation without losing any details or accuracy in your notes. I found it very easy to implement into my day to day work. Pros The AI meeting note taker has a superior method of collecting the information and a variety of pre-set options for sorting that are much more useful than competitors. Cons No cons at the moment other than needing budget to maintain the premium option which has the superior AI note taking capacity. I have tried several AI notetakers and Fathom is the most accurate in terms of note taking and creating AI next action tasks. Pros What I like most about Fathom is the accuracy of notes it provides along with timestamps for each notation. Cons I dislike the placement of the summaries at the bottom of the screen. Customer Success Rep Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Time Saver for CS" December 9, 2024 5.0 I was spending an excessive amount of time trying to dig back through recordings to pick out action items, find details I know we talked about but didn't get in my notes, and then type up notes/summaries and share them with our customers. Fathom does all of that for me, and gives me easy ways to find information in calls, all while helping me track my customer data in Hubspot. Pros Before Fathom, we were struggling to take notes while on a call, then log those notes in a way that we could share with our customers, while still keeping things organized in Hubspot, which is our source of truth for client accounts. Follow-up emails that weren't just a form letter added more time spent digging back through those notes, and then you still have to log the meeting as completed! Fathom completely changed the game for me, and took me less than 10 minutes to get set up. It takes very detailed notes, including pulling out action items (which it makes into Hubspot tasks for me automatically!), and you can generate a personalized follow-up email in seconds. It also logs these notes into Hubspot, marks the meeting as completed, and sends a copy of the notes to the other people on the call automatically. Not to mention that it alerts me during the call if it thinks I've monologued! Less time spent on manually tracking all of this is more time I can spend helping our customers. Cons It's a little more cumbersome to cut a specific snippet of a video out for sharing than other programs I've used, but you can still share from a certain section, and everything else it does helps make up for this in my opinion. All meeting notes are trascripted and organized and shared with the rest of the attendees. I rarely need to send follow-ups anymore since they can always refer to the notes and the video of the meeting itself. I really like that the AI technology circles around the same subject that was mentioned maybe in two different occasions within the meeting and ties notes together. Pros Ability to organize meeting in thematic subjects and concepts, extremely intuitive , simple break downs with substance Cons Maybe the fathom box when using the service could appear on demand. The meeting summaries, transcriptions, and action tracking are incredibly helpful. I no longer worry about missing important details. I can stay focused in the moment, knowing everything is being captured. Their customer service has also been excellent. Friendly, responsive, and helpful. I highly recommend Fathom to anyone who manages recurring meetings and needs a dependable tool to stay organized. It keeps me organized and present in client meetings, and the customer support has been excellent. Cons There’s a bit of a learning curve if you want to customize settings beyond the basics. It provides concise notes, clear action items and as a notoriously forgetful person, I LOVE that it allows me to go back and see where in the meeting my actions items came from. Best tool for busy forgetful managers with lots of plates in the air! Pros I like the thoroughness of the notes. It gives in depth analysis of what happened in the meeting, what the follow up action items are and next steps. It is more accurate than fireflies, spark mail transcription, zoom aI, chatgpt and otter in my experience. Cons I dislike that you can’t use it as hoc without a virtual meeting. Sometimes I like to use an ai note taker for in-person meetings but this tool isn’t built for that.
