I'm looking for direct quotes from my meetings to use in my work, so instead of frantically taking notes, I know Fathom is capturing the transcript. Pros I'm impressed with the meetings summaries Fathom creates, but I really use it for the transcripts, which are accurate and helpful. This is an incredible feature for my work, in which I'm trying to capture exact quotes from people. These transcripts have been a game-changer for me. I think the talk time notification is really helpful, too, in helping me stay balanced in the time I spend talking in the meeting. Fathom is easy to use and the customer support is responsive. Cons The speakers are sometimes mislabeled on the transcripts for response phrases like "yeah" and "oh wow" but that's a pretty small issue compared to the value of the transcripts. I am very impressed with the overall experience and product services. Pros Fathom has been a game changer for meetings. Because fathom takes amazing notes, provides reliable summaries and to do lists, I can now focus on having a productive meeting without the worry of taking notes or missing any important information. Plus at the end I have a detailed recap of the meeting via Fathom that I can refer back to whenever needed. The software is user friendly and intuitive. It allows us to stop scrambling to write everything down and be present with the client during our time together. Pros I have previously used many AI based call recording tools and Fathom dwarfs them all. The real time call feedback is a game changer and their integration with HubSpot has been seamless. Implementation was a breeze. I no longer feel like I have to scribble on my notepad to ensure everything is captured. Even with previous tools that boasted these same features, I could not truly trust that the transcription would be accurate after the call. Fathom is spot on. Cons It sometimes can miss auto recording calls if you have to make a last minute meeting link switch. When I have had questions, support - even email support - was nearly instantaneous and spot-on! Pros This provides invaluable information for me in sales, enabling me to fully engage in technical client discussions without the distraction of taking detailed notes. I especially like that I can flag sections of the recordings as highlights, objections, questions, & things that I need to address afterward. One of my favorite aspects is the summary that automatically generates afterward, along with the follow-up tasks agreed to in the meeting. Cons I'd like to be able to minimize the "Fathom Notetaker" window on-screen, but I accept that might prevent an attendee from being aware that the call is being recorded. It's so helpful in keeping track of the small pieces of business logic that are crucial to my job. Pros Fathom was extremely easy to setup and begin using. It connected to my various accounts (Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet) with very little work or fuss. The transcription and AI features like takeaways and TODO's are extremely helpful and consistently correct. Cons I haven't found anything about Fathom that I don't like yet. Pros As a hearing impaired individual, I'm often concerned I'm missing out on something in a meeting and Fathoms has worked well to ensure accurate and solid transcripts along with excellent key point summaries which are easy to switch modes (from sales perspective to stand up summary styles). Summaries are available within a few minutes after a meeting and it's handled summaries of 2+ hour meetings with solid action items and next steps outligned while avoiding anciallary items and non-pertinent discussion points. Cons It'd be great to have a live meeting option (not just online) for in-person meeting summary sets... Maybe a 'down the road' option... So the interactions it has with us is amazing. And finally another point is at the end of the meeting, it gives us Action Items which helps us so much to just follow up with our team. There are even rumors our \[sensitive content hidden\] is looking to hire Fathom engineers. ;-) Pros Fathom is super easy to use. It makes creating meeting recordings simple and fast. The nicest feature though is the AI generated summary notes for meetings. The are suprisingly accurate. The only (minor) problem is that voice recognition doesn't get certain (esp. prioprietary/internal) names. Fathom has a feature, though, to "auto-correct" these words/names in future meetings. Cons Zoom can sometimes be slow to add Fathom to a meeting. Probably that's Zooms issue, though. " October 1, 2024 4.0 Fathom AI is saving me a lot of time by taking notes, summarizing them, and organizing them in ways that make them easy for me to save or share with other people. During the meeting itself, I am confident enough in Fathom AI that I no longer take notes -- this is significant because I am a prolific note taker! It's been great to be able to just focus on the meeting and what others are saying. Pros Fathom makes it easy to take notes - I have used it daily since downloading the app over one month ago, and I have recommended it to numerous colleagues since. It took me only a few minutes to set up, and the short introductory tutorial got me up and running with no trouble. I appreciate the meeting summary and the ability to customize those summaries - for example, I was able to ask the AI to rearrange the sections to better suit my needs. There are many excellent features - too many to list here - but the AI's ability to generate action steps, buttons to highlight meeting segments while the meeting is happening, and reminders when I am monologuing (or more generally, what percentage of the meeting time I am speaking) are really helpful. Cons (1) The transcript contains many errors, both in the accuracy of the transcription and in the attributions to who was speaking at the time. (2) I have not found a way to edit the meeting summary notes to update inaccuracies or correct spellings of people's names before sharing with meeting attendees. (3) Deleting video recordings from the middle of the recording is not straightforward. (It is easy, however, to trim the beginning or end of the recording - kudos!) Review Source AB Alex B. Pros It helps improve the efficiency of meetings by providing incredibly accurate meeting notes, highlights, actions and shares them with all attendees after the event. keeps people accountable and saves so much time. Cons It can sometimes get some of the notes/actions slightly wrong so it does require you, depending on the meeting and the attendees, to check them before saving/sending. Pros It has simplified my meeting processes and action items. I love that you can get a summary, transcript and video playback all in one place. The AI function works great to pull out action items. It works simply and is so easy to setup. I use it for all external meetings now and some internal, so at least 2-3 times a day. Cons I don't have any really dislikes about Fathom.
