This eliminates pushing back my time for scheduled meetings as he is not always readily available. I do interviews regularly and this also makes it possible for me to get more tasks done in a shorter time. It has made my daily tasks way easier. Pros I love how easy it is to use and how fast it works. I no longer have to worry about overcompensating my time on creating meeting summaries and notes. The layout is also appealing and the note taker is usually accurate which reduces less mistakes. Cons The recordings sometimes take about 5 seconds longer to start than if I use the original platform's recording such as the Zoom recorder but not a dealbreaker. Review Source MM Mark M. AI transcripting helps me see what was talked about without needing to watch the recording. Saves me a ton of time. Pros The summaries of meetings are so spot on. The videos render almost immediately (as opposed to zoom recordings, which take a long time to render). It gives me clear action items and take away. Fathom is perfect for sales calls, client meetings, and creating SOPs. Highly recommend. Cons I haven't found anything yet. Maybe that not enough people are using it. Now I just forward the recap email. Pros Our whole team always know's what happened and what they have to do on client meeting because of the recap email. The "Action Steps" section is shockingly accurate. Cons The only downside was I was hoping to not have to pay anything, but once I sampled the premium version, there was no turning back. Owner Business Consultant Management Consulting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Best Note Taker I've Seen Yet" November 12, 2024 5.0 I like being able to determine whether Fathom is going to be used in a meeting or not, rather than having it show up and turn on automatically like a lot of the note takers in meetings I participate in. Even worse, show up for a meeting when the guest doesn't attend yet their note taker does. I appreciate people want notes, but if the information is that important to the, attend or at least let the host know ahead of time that you're not going to be able to attend, and you will send your note taker. (Some people don't even know their Note Taker attends when they don't based on their settings for the software). Pros I'm using the free version of Fathom and I find that it works very well. It's valuable that Fathom reminds you of how much talking each party is doing while you're in the meeting, and it provides a summary of your meeting, as well as full notes following the meeting. You also have the ability to share the link with others who may need to review the information Fathom allows me to be more present in certain meetings where I'm not taking notes manually and therefore, be able to listen more specifically.  It also gives me somewhere to reference my recordings easily. I'd use it in select meetings. Where I do utilize Fathom, it works well. Cons Nothing really that I can say that I dislike about Fathom at this time Review Source cW chris W. I get to record my calls and have all my notes and summaries done for me. I can click a bullet point to be brought to that part of the video, and best of all there's a chatgpt style interface where I can ask it questions about my clients. Pros Ease of use, AI features, allows me to stay present in my calls without worrying about taking notes Cons Not sure yet, still testing it out. It prevents the need for taking notes during the meeting allowing you to be fully present and also ensures time is spent on the meeting rather than waiting for people to take notes. Having a database to go back and rewatch the videos is extremely helpful also. Cons I can't think of any currently. A potential option could be to add a running view of the transcript / summary as an option. Fathom has simplified this process and sends auto emails to all meeting attendees by the end of the meeting. This is an extremely helpful feature! I can send it on the call that I can't join to get the summary to always get the main topics and decisions that were discussed there. It sends summary to people who were invited to the call, but couldn't make it to keep them updated. Pros It just has most of the features this product is supposed to have, and they are mostly done right. My favourite is the ability to quickly jump to a specific place in recording, whether from a summary or the answer to a specific question. It is still not 100% accurate in grasping the essence of the call, especially non-English ones, but one of the best. And I just started using it, there are still features to explore! The recorder helps me to revise as soon as I require them. Pros The best things is that it understands almost everything of my meetings. The most amazing part is that it joins with me in every meeting just like a personal assistant. The AI capability makes it more versatile in record keeping. Overall I like it a lot. Cons One of the key factor is that I can't downlaod my recordings. Fathom should allow downloading meetings. Another thing is that the full screen option is actually not full screen. Because it shows the side panel which I may not require all the time. There should be an option to hide the side panel so that we can see the full screen in full screen mode. Review Source Jason H. Before using Fathom, I had to manually take notes during meetings and then transcribe them into my CRM, which was tedious and time-consuming. Now, with Fathom, I get an automatic transcript of my meetings, and all I have to do is copy and paste. If you rely on Zoom meetings for your business, I highly recommend this product. Pros Fathom is the best companion for video calls with clients, It has helped me keep a record of the most important factors discussed in my calls. Cons Currently, I have not disliked anything. I don't think we'd go back - the overall implementation has been seamless.
